My grandma, near 100ys old, is still growing them on a small piece of land each season. She comes from rural areas, and she has a tiny piece of land in a small farming commute, who use some land on the outskirts of a big city, and each takes care of their own tiny piece for personal use. The strawberries, rasberries, tomatos, carrots, applea, cucumbers, etc. Flavor like no other.

Reasoning of such aside, when you have credit cards, smartphones, etc. which do not require a microchip to know everything about you (ever had that odd feeling that when you talk about something near your phone with android, you get some change on your display of adds powered by google adds?), its not impossible tech wise with the new tech roll out. I just do not see a real benefit for the cost. Why would I ever be bothered to track joe the geek or bunny the pothead? You are much better at 'controling' population by making it fragmented and divided wtih no real common values, stupid on average, egocentric and individualistic, and gamifying the life (followers, likes, etc. ) where low IQ behavior is rewarded more than the high one, and you have followers of stupid believing they are right, because there are a lot of them, so they have to be right (confirmation bias) - that's a whole different topic though, so lets stick to the vaccines and COVID. @Boeroer I have the luck to buy from a trusted small family outlet, where the guy wakes up at 1AM and takes a truck to collect vegies from farmer shops he trusts and then he puts all that food on shelves before he opens at 9AM For me there is a matter of taste, also defrosting and how you do that does influence what you get back from a veggie compared to the fresh one. @Guard Dog I grow sometimes only some herbs at home, like basil. We are terrible at home with plants upkeep I had a cactus dry out....

Frozen is a waste of good qualities of the food. I do my groceries myself, every 2nd day with no more than I know I'll cook/prepare for my household (i hate wasting food and money). I usually eat regional seasonal veggies and some meat from local butchers and Fresh fish on the delivery days for gourmet (I know when the plane with supplies fly in). I try to avoid exotic stuff, even though I like things like Avocado, becuase of how this affects deforestations and increases carbon footprint. (same reason, why I travel with public comm daily, and rent a car on occasions when I really need one - I'd buy one, if we'd have a kid though). Here, there were price increases in groceries overall though and you could notice them, still I'd pin a blame on giving free money, and increase of minumum wages. I know that in US this is much harder to do, but if you live long enough in some area and are willing to explore and talk in person to people working as salesmen there, you can get an idea where someone cares for quality of what they sell.

Heh, you have nutts on both sides. At one point, someone decided that a long standing, long time used hand gesture for an OK sign is meaning something else, or you get people in congress look stupid by adding to the end of a prayer using a latin/hebrew phrase Amen(so be it!) another word, completely irrelevant to the context, A-women... I can understand an action against an arrested person, that is charged with a tresspass action, and I can agree/understand to a degree a scan of publically posted info by users (a lot of companies do that already), but there is so many cases, where this is not right. What about non-us citizens? What about just disucussing the topic privately? Etc. Those companies forget, that their business model can be legisaleted away in other countries, and a lot of the world learnt during the Trump era, not to rely too much on US policy makers and learnt to deal with a use of US soft power. The ONLY thing keeping the US still in play as a dominant power is distrust to China/Russia as entities with more power on a geo-scale. The other part is the trade, but here situation changes over the years and the outlook favors more the Asia countries as trade partners for goods and services. Next bubble-pop might rearrange the world.

Yes, working with and for financial institutions with various algorithms, forecast models, event driven logical chains and dependancies, processes etc. I make a decent living out of that now. I also remember times, where I had to live in a relative poverty, with one decent meal a day and some scraps on other occassions. Can you turn your talk and ideas into real money? A lot of ideas are not popular, but it's not always about popularity contest, but about effectiveness and how not to let society deteriorate to a breaking point, and while you do not want to admit, your values will change with conditions you experience, always, as in our base line coding we have instincts and preferences developed by millenias of evolution. Wishful thinking does not override that. Officially, a lot of these statments would kill any public career prospects, same like a lot of opinions and discussions by various politicians behind the veil. I've been to discussions like health care financing, and when you start talking about costs of health and life of a given human being, that's where you will hear, 'I hear you, but it would be a political suicide'. Search for a term QALY and think about financing medical care and potential use of such attribute (it's just an example) . Even as we speak doctors make decisions who to save and who to let die because they have limited room/medicine.

When did the population started to boom? When you look regionally, what actions led to boom and were the actions to deal with various crisises devloped within the population of the region or outside of it?
