I've downloaded Dragensang demo. And first thing I tried was installing it on my old computer. It runs great on a legacy hardware like this: P4 3.0 GHz Radeon 1650 Pro 1.5 GB ram Windows XP

Well - Far Cry had better graphics and physics. - Lots of games used Unreal 2 engine in the past. So, Did Unreal 2 influence lots of games, uh? Nope.

Ok. I understand now. HL was revolutionary. It was nothing like before it and it became the initiator of FPS reborn. Ok. So, what about HL2? Was that revolutionary too? Was it completely different from the past FPS titles? Or did it change the FPS genre completely? No. Please defend HL2. It's very funny.

I can't exactly pinpoint the reason why I found HL boring and found the others fun. May be being an alien slayer MIT professor is not my cup of tea and I like macho characters. Or it's just the HL sucks and others don't. I don't know, really. But it's definitely not nostalgia. If it was nostalgia, HL would be on that list too. I can see why people love the other games I don't like like Diablo games, WoW, GTA games, and such. But honestly, I can't see how anyone can get fun from HL games.

It's all about preferences. I prefer fun gameplay over anything. If they are boring, scripted events mean nothing to me.

In 1998 Quake was better than HL Quake 2 was better than HL Unreal was better than HL even Blood was better than HL2 At least they were fun to play. But I never had any fun playing HL. Of course it's just me and it's obvious that lots of people don't share the same experience.

It's a DRM with a buggy mess.

Yet, Steam is just another form of DRM.

I'll probably buy this, but never play it, like I did with MotB. I buy Obsidian's titles only for sake of buying, not for playing. I know, it sounds weird, but I want to support Obsidian.

Well, I'm not. I hate KotOR II. For me, It's one of the worst sequels ever made.

Personally, I don't like cryptic dialogs and neverending dialog trees. Actually I loathe them. So I'll probably love SoZ.
