I've generally found game specific subreddits(as opposed to /r/gaming/ ) to be much friendlier and more knowledgeable communities than the official forums for most games. Probably because people that hate the game and just want to complain/troll only go to the official forums. On Reddit, the trolls tend to get downvoted into obscurity.

I like my paladin mostly for roleplay reasons. Mechanically, she isn't the best at anything, but she does well enough. I gave her fairly balanced stats across the board except for constitution, which I skimped on.(I think her stats ended up being 12 9 14 15 15 15). She doesn't die unless there's a party wipe, so I haven't felt that the con was much of a problem. The fire strikes are nice, if somewhat limited. Mostly I just like her because she's a bleak walker, or as I like to call her, jerk-ass for justice.

Unfortunately, after falling to the floor, my trackball randomly double clicks on its own(I'll replace it eventually, but it's a $130 trackball that isn't being made anymore), so I can't avoid the bug as easily as most. Until I know for certain that the bug will be fixed retroactively for existing saves, I can't go any further because I may have to reroll.

Memorials problem.

Let me be the one to burst your bubble by pointing out Obsidian hasn't removed it, at least not yet. Also, please show me the evidence the memorial WAS transphobic. I can quote it to you, if need be. The absence of evidence is not evidence that this thread is going to end any time soon. But I can continue to try to get people to look at this critically. Should I wish you luck or offer my apologies to the wall on behalf of your head? -

That would be truly disappointing if true. Not because I'm dead set against it being removed. No, I don't care about that. But there's the small matter of a character breaking bug that's preventing me from playing the game right now, and I would be down right pissed if Obsidian put this as the higher priority. I don't think this is as much of a PR problem as it seems to us who closely follow the game. Also, I don't think removing this takes any technical effort on Obsidian's part. So I wouldn't be concerned it is affecting bug fixing at all. According to the stickied tech support thread on the ProjectEternity subreddit: If they can't alter strings, it may not be as easy at it seems it should be to remove the poem. -

Strictly speaking, it's worse. In one case we have a fictional character terminally ashamed of inadvertently engaging in sexual relations with another fictional character who falls outside of the spectrum of people he wants to have sexual relations with. In the other case we have an actual person making an almost certainly empty claim of conspiracy to commit genocide. One is fictional, and the other is absurd, but then, I thought we lived in an age where every death threat was taken seriously. Isn't that what got people all up in arms about the whole gamergate thing a while back? Either way, I can't really bring myself to care too much about the fate of a bit of uninspired poetry on way or another. -
Because you didn't think to find/make a custom portrait until after you started, or because you found a cool picture that you think fits your character that you've been playing for several hours better than the one you picked before you decided on the character's personality, or... or... Lots of reasons.

people need to get over this hatred for Steam. Steam is a wonderful service, and the DRM is non intrusive. Games can be played offline after a one time online activation. Steam does not run any DRM processes in the background. Does anyone else miss the days when the software you had to run to get your games to work was called your operating system? Let's go back to those days.
