  1. One: Structurally speaking, I don't think classical guitar is that different from jazz/blues guitar. Two: I didn't say that all there was to music was technique. Three: Are you saying Li Jie's plays guitar without soul or emotional involvement (or whatever)? Listening to: Crounching Tiger, Hidden Dragon OST
  2. Thanks! I just wish it was bigger.
  3. Yes, the entire project was his. Including ewoks, Jar Jar Binks, awful dialogues, silly love story, crap character development, silly Palpatine laugh, and awful actor directing.
  4. kirottu, the man with a death wish. By the way, would it be possible to get a large version of your avvie, kirottu?
  5. Well, in terms of guitar playing I guess the complexity of what you can do with a guitar is a part of it, and also there's the question of precision. Finally, and here is where objectivity goes out the window, there's the matter of virtuosity. When comparing the lady in the video with, to use my previous example, Jimmy Page, is that I'm betting she can do everything he can with a guitar, while the opposite is almost certainly not true. Edit: This a reply to Baley's unedited post.
  6. But the way you said it sounded like you were putting Spielberg and Lucas on the same level.
  7. Well, improv is more a question of different musical education. On the other hand, the difference in pure skill between this lady and, say, Jimmy Page or Malmsteen or whoever, is simply abyssal.
  8. Spielberg isn't just a good director, he's a genius. He made some movies that were failures, but when he does things right, he does things most directors can only dream of. GL is "merely" a good director who hit the motherlode with Star Wars.
  9. Makes you think how crappy all popular guitarrists really are.
  10. And Spielberg is much more talented.
  11. But this is done by Irrational, and they can do no wrong. Really. This game will go beyond the hype and change everyone's life for the better. Bioshock could make Chuck Norris cry with happiness.
  12. Is the book good enough to be part of school curricula?
  13. What's The Natural?
  14. http://www.gameslave.co.uk/content/dark-messiah-preview/ This preview is about multiplayer, and talks a bit about the way melee combat is handled. Good stuff.
  15. Oh, I wouldn't know if the game is good or not, as I haven't played it. I'm just saying it's not unknown.
  16. Wasn't it a launch title for the Xbox 360? And isn't it by Monolith? That's not what what I'd call unheard of.
  17. Keep in mind the game is still in development, even bloodlines had sucktastic graphics in its early days. For example the "Jeanette/VV pic" But the game seems to have beautiful graphics. Not technically, but in terms of design. And that's just the awesomeness. It even makes me cuffawkle.
  18. http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/...tured_Review%29 Check this review LostStraw.
  19. Of course. But that's not a problem with older games. It's just too bad that a lot of those aren't compatible.
  20. Mononoke Hime's soundtrack.
  21. http://www.matrox.com/graphics/offhome/th2go/home.cfm Imagine Thief or System Shock with this.
  22. Stone the blasphemer!
