  1. The fetus is obviously not an individual but it does have the potential to be an individual. The potential of life is fully realized at the moment of conception, thus though the body has yet to develop, abortion is at least guilty of destroying the potential existence of a human being and personally I value that potential no less than my own potential existence in the future. Of couse, abortion is a more complicated issue since there are cases when the mother's life is also at stake or when it involves a rape. As for whether the embryo has a soul, I don't have an opinion since I don't even have enough understanding of the soul to say that I believe in its existence. I would like to point out that fetuses listen, feel and even partially understand most everything around them, including things that happen outside the womb, so in that sense they are as much individuals as you and I.
  2. Ju-On: The Grudge Quite scary. Not much else, really, but the director did what he set out to do.
  3. I'd say Total War games are really two games in one. Anyway, in my opinion the real time part of TW is much better than any typical RTS. Also, I know a lot of people that only bother to play the real time battles and never touch the campaign.
  4. I think it's clear that Blizzard's RTSes were always built for pretty graphics, with larger, more detailed(and hence fewer) sprites, while Westwood's RTSes were all about pure carnage and armies as large as possible.
  5. If re-written to be less annoying, those characters would have worked (well not Jar Jar. That was just pure garbage). I'm talking from a purely individual, scene by scene scale rating, that the scenes that didn't include Anakin, Padme, and Jar Jar were pretty good. For instance, the scenes with Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon = good. Maul and Palpatine = good. Jedi Council discussions = good. Obviously the overall story would fall apart without the main character, but I was referring to the enjoyment factor of each individual scene when broken down individually. In a way you are saying that The Star Wars prequels are like the Scary Movie series, where only two or three good jokes can be found amid all the awfulness. Of course, despite those few good jokes the Scary Movies are still not worth watching.
  6. I'm guessing you are a fan of Command and Conquer, Calax.
  7. I could just import your character directly to chapter one. It should be easy if you've already finished the OC before.
  8. How about both? And what you call "questionable moments" were actually unmitigated disasters in filmmaking.
  9. Yes, but Anakin is THE lead character. How can a movie with a completely failed lead character be any good?
  10. What? Yeah. I have always thought that the strong point of Blizzard games is their playability. That's what vaxen is saying?
  11. Kaftan is right.
  12. And why do they have more money than everyone else?
  13. OK. But only this once. And don't tell your mother.
  14. You shouldn't stab him! Kidnap him, tie him up in a basement, and feed him regularly so you can use is money pooping skills as your personal ATM.
  15. Drunken posting rules!
  16. I think Bok would be the better option, considering he poops money. Especially as he's away from home right now, making house looting a very viable option.
  17. I suggest you start selling your own body. The games coming out in October are totally worth it.
  18. Blizzard is successful because their fanbase is composed of people who couldn't pick the right forum to create a thread, even if their lives depended on it. :D
  19. So you are saying that the movie would be good, if it didn't have lead characters?
  20. Have a good one, man.
  21. Nick Cave - Black Hair Last night my kisses were banked in black hair And in my bed my lover her hair was midnight black And all her mystery dwelled within her black hair And her black hair framed a happy heart shaped face And heavy hooded eyes inside her black hair Shined at me from the depths of her hair of deepest black While my fingers pushed into her straight black hair Pulling her black hair back from her happy heart-shaped face To kiss her milk-white throat, a dark curtain of black hair Smothered me, my lover with her beautiful black hair The smell of it is heavy. It is charged with life On my fingers the smell of her deep black hair Full of all my whispered words, her black hair And wet with tears and good-byes, her hair of deepest black All my tears cried against her milk-white throat Hidden behind the curtain of her beautiful black hair As deep as ink and black, black as the deepest sea The smell of her black hair upon my pillow Where her head and all its black hair did rest Today she took a train to the West Today she took a train to the West Today she took a train to the West
