Let's see.... Silent Hill (GRAPHICS ONLY!!!) Parasite Eve (Graphics and Gameplay, and fill the story out a bit) Diablo 2 (If it's not broke, just fix the graphics) Chrono Trigger (Make the jump to 3d like Romancing SaGa did)

It made for a great backstory Where WW went wrong is how they handled the backstory and then shoved it down everyones throats... with lame novels (or so I hear) and even lamer "main characters". <_<

And in it's place added bland generic clans and even more craptastic bloodlines. They could have easily adapted the old WoD to the new rules and had a really fine game, or even included the old WoD backstory as an optional "world"... but no, they chose the WotC way of spamming crap as fast as humanly possible (w00t)

I guess it'd depend on how they did it. I suppose, with a good enough story, that it'd work.... Requiem's genericness definately allows it to be molded. So I guess you're right

That's definately awesome. Up there with the awesome dev who stuck around to port the Call of Cthulhu game

And to start things off, I'm playing Disgaea 2 I'm not that far into it, but so far it seems greatly enchanced over the first one. And thankfully it's actually funny :D

Once more another great thread comes to a close, having grown a bit too large. Part 5 Here we go again.

You make a character, you add a template, and another, yadda yadda yadda... Bleak and generic Just like a D20 product. Requiem has no soul, Forsaken is lame, and Awakening is just plain akward dunno about promethian, and I still have hope for changeling.

Picked up Disgaea 2 today... fighting the temptation to play.. so much stuff to do in real life
