Well, I can understand why they would do hand-me-downs (which KotOR 2 technically is for that matter) if they can put out a few good games using estabilished "names" and settings, that could give them some serious credability. Which is a valuable thing.

It will probably be the first quest, with some 'revelation' or similar that the guy who has your light sabre is a Sith. Then you'll kill him to get your lightsabre back. Or something. I hope it isn't as utterly predictable as that... That would make the most sense to me. Or maybe you don't meet dark jedi early enough to swipe one? Aren't they supposed to "personal" ? Or can any jedi pick up any lightsaber and use it, just like a screwdriver ? Seemed to be able to in that Clone movie.

Probably the same reason we all are, the vain hope that somehow our opinions might in some way affect the development of the game if only in the smallest way.

Again.... I point out... What events happened there that were "historically" significant, not significant to the plot of a movie. Nothing happened on Tatooine to make it "noteworthy" beyond the few people the event affected. Thus why it's a dustball few people hear about....

Keep in mind the starmap was put there "before" it became a dustball. Maybe the planet has a connection to the force, and that's why all these force related (yet not historically worthy) events keep occuring

Just what major events happened there? Sure it was major to the movies... but nothing really "historyworthy" happened there. Oh! And I vote for the lost (from KotOR) world of Sleyheron
