Lego Batman 2 is as follows: Gameplay: From what we've seen, and that's not much, it will retain basic Lego gameplay, but introduce new gadgets like Robin's Hazard Cannon. It will probably put a higher emphasis on the use of both Batman and Robin and how they use their gadgets in battle. This would put a higher emphasis on squad based, but to an extent. Also the recurring villains such as Bane and the Joker will probably have a more varied sense of gameplay than in the previous game to not only boost variety, but interest in the product. Story: Superman, Wonder Woman and the Green Lantern arrive in Gotham City to stop Lex Luthor and his evil criminal plans. Batman and Robin set out to stop the havoc in Gotham City occurring mainly due to his arch-nemesis, the Joker. Characters: The Joker and Bane will no doubt, the Joker because its the Joker, unless its Rocksteady, Batman games are bust without the Joker. Bane because the game is set to be released with The Dark Knight Rises. From what I know, I think that the characters of Nightwing and Batgirl are going to be present, maybe even Richard as Batman being the prodigal son and all. Plus, Hush should have a larger role in this game. What do you guys think the game's going to be like? I think that it will differentiate the Lego Games genres even more, because Star Wars and Harry Potter seem to be like strategy or TPS, and Indiana Jones and Pirates seem to be more like Adventure. I think that this one is going to be a mix between the two.

Honestly, CW is I think the third to fifth most watched show on the CW, past the Secret Circle and Vampire Diariess. Its an awesome show and you know, the only people that oppose it are die-hard Christians, I respect them for that. Now, some people could make it a shooter where your in the hunter universe and you have to hunt down monsters. Others could make it a RPG where you make your own hunter and play throughout a city plagued with demons throughout the Supernatural Timeline. Or it could be something like heavy rain, where your actions are based off of morals and such. Maybe it could a mix? But who would make the best devs?

Where is Fallout Online going to take place?
Cutlock replied to Cutlock's topic in Computer and Console
Sexiest Man Alive. -
Look at Fallout Online's concept art, it takes place everywhere, not literally, but in a lot of different places. This makes me guess that there is not one storyline but a variety of non interconnecting storylines. You have to remember that part of the reason Bethesda sued Interplay was because the storyline they have running in one of their locations contradicted that of Fallout 4. One concept art shows Trumbull, a town found in Conneticut or New England or something. That is probably where Fallout 4 will take place. Although the Space Needle is evident, so is Fallout 4 going to continue the NCR conquest of the West? The desert pic makes it clear that it might take place in Arizona, FLAGSTAFF! So is Bethesda going to continue Caesar's Legion? The graveyard pic hints more at Seattle, look at the background with the mountain of which steam rises out of, Mount Baker, St. Helens? Takes anybody? Frozen Shipyard works for Conneticut and Seattle, being in the north and the fact that no Fallout so far has taken place in Canada. Then the big clock with Gecko sign on it hints more at Seattle, I mean maybe Gecko in F2 was named after something else. The real life Tesla Tower is or was in New York. This gets me to narrowing it down to: Arizona, Seattle, Conneticut and New England. As Fallout Online is likely to take place in one of those 4, Fallout 4 does too.

Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy - Ch26 (Mae'Var)
Cutlock replied to Tigranes's topic in Computer and Console
HEY! Baldur's Gate is not a trilogy, there are FOUR games, should be six, but sorry: BIOWARE DID NOT WANT TO FULLY EXPAND THE THRONE OF BHAAL. So they got their lazy asses up, got bought by EA who then renamed all of their studios BioWare. -
First off, the story I believe should now be based off of the end of Homeland, parts of Exile and mainly of Sojourn. Jarlaxle - Michael Rosenbaum, he has proved that he can play a bald cynical schemer Drizzt - Chris Pine, I have no explanation but watch Unstoppable Wulfgar - Tom Hardy, after Bane and that guy from Warrior, this one is a taker Roddy McGristle - Ray Winstone Artemis Entreri - I stick by my fact that Vin Diesel will make a good Artemis, I mean they are both bald and Riddick is like a mirror copy of Artemis Regis - Barry Pepper, take an actor that nobody knows and look at his past history. Catti-Brie - Emma Watson? Honestly I could not think of a role for this one. My plan for the story, its better than the last one: Drizzt flees Menzoberranzen with Matron Malice and Baenre setting Bregan D'aerthe out after him. He emerges in Mundalbar where the frightened citizens place a bounty on his head, he is saved from Roddy McGristle by the halfling Regis, who too has a bounty on his head and is being followed by the assassin Artemis Entreri. The two depart for Citadel Adbar where Regis is to meet with betrothed friends Catti-Brie and Wulfgar, on the way they pass through Dead Orc Pass, a place where they set up camp but are attacked by orcs and goblins. When Drizzt fends the two off, Regis witnesses his great fighting ability and decides that the two could make great allies. They depart quickly from Dead Orc Pass and arrive in Citadel Adbar where Regis is allowed entry, but Drizzt is not. Using the Ruby Pendant, Regis manages to smuggle Drizzt in, but no dwarf trusts the drow. Drizzt is put to work by the horrid Prince Harnoth who refuses to trust the drow and believes that he is a scout to an invasion or a freeloader, a reasonw hy he i put to work. When Drizzt saves the dwarves from goblin attacks, he displays his skills to Wulfgar and Catti-Brie who wish to learn from him, though Wulfgar is a bit reluctant, eventually the dwarf kingdom begins to trust Drizzt, all exept Prince Harnoth. Artemis Entreri manages to track Regis to Citadel Adbar and using the tunnels beneath the city, he kidnaps the halfling after an intense duel with Drizzt. Drizzt goes in pursuit after Entreri while Citadel Adbar launches its campaign to retake Mithral Hall from Shimmergloom leaving Wulfgar wondering whether he should lead the campaign like Bruenor wanted him to, or help Drizzt in his pursuit of Entreri. This also leaves a cliffhanger for a sequel. Thoughts? Leave your own cast and story below.

Why Good Doctor, does my son have Liver Failure?
Cutlock replied to Cutlock's topic in Computer and Console
Yeah! Let's make a new science fiction world where you run around blowing people up with you BFG! ... I... uh ... yeah... I mean - Never mind. -
So, with NBA Jam: On Fire Edition being a total bust and NBA 2K12 owning it, should EA just drop basketball like 2K droppped hockey, or should they bring back NBA Live. Live was a good NBA game series until it crashed and the need for Elite came. So should they return with Live, or should they give Elite another chance? or should they just stick to Dragon Age III.
-
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance III - &*$% you ATARI! Radical Entertainment's Crash Bandicoot 4 - ... Viewtiful Joe 3 - You know, I feel differently now. Rayman 4 - Rabbids and Origins, where is this all going? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 with PSMove Support - WHAT? This came out! Virtua Fighter 6 - One Final Battle. Spyro The Movie Video Game Adaption - Don't say the horrible LoS series was the adaption, obviously there would have been some different story. NBA Elite - I'm over it.

Ah, just like the good ol days of Icewind Dale, I'll take my trials now Luremaster.

For Black Ops, I would have to say that I enjoyed Annihilation more than the other ones. I feel to me that I liked Point Lookout the best in Fallout 3 and Old World Blues the best in New Vegas [Dead Money to me did not do good horror, Old World Blues was fun, Honest Hearts reminded me of California and the desert, oh wait, there's no difference in that, and Lonesome Road I liked but there was not enough new enemies, though I guess that was part of the mood]. So give a game and give your favorite DLC.

Seems a pretty clear pattern to me... Console fanboy / closet Beyonc

RPG Elements, travel to other shows and kill Peter Griffin? Storyline, try to find out what happened to Kanye the Gayfish West?
-
Well Obsidian, you've stooped to a level that Steve Wilkos wont go to. Even he has some self respect. Is Feargus involved in this project? I wonder if he is, maybe he'll make it interesting. Maybe we'll get to see Gayfish tormented over a Planescape.

By Battlefield I meant this: Battlefield 2: Modern Combat and as in online I meant online on the consoles which you highlighted in this: Halo did nothing on the online compartment, only make the PC domination fall, shifiting to consoles. Valve: Half-Life 2 is Game of the Decade Activision: MW3 is the Biggest Launch EVER! And remember, I'm the best, you can barely survive me.

Yes. Then here it is: A nation, ignoring its youth and children, can build all the skyscrapers it wants, but in fact is only using its cloud-capped rise to decorate hell. Operation Wolf was in First-Person Perspective, I cannot say it was a FPS, but rather akin to Commando but in a different perspective. Sure, revamped to this day it would be considered a FPS, but at its roots, its simply Metal Slug in First-Person Perspective.

That's some weird videogame historical revisionism. iD Software didn't inspire Valve and in those days Half-Life was seen as something other then pure FPS. Wolfenstein 3D, Dooms and Quake were all GAMES first... well, actually there were no real story elements, just game mechanics. In Half-Life there were heavy scripting (what, mobs don't attack us right away... I can talk to these scientists? ), real storyline, paced action, cutscenes... even the Quake engine was heavily modified. iD did inspire many developers. Something like Serious Sam (inspired by both iD games and Duke) or Painkiller are some of the clearer examples. ID themself can't write their way out of paperbag and all the games since Quake have more or less been failures (not financial, but failed to reach the level of "modern" FPS ). FPS genre is already rather old and it has splintered into many different directions and all have evolved (or sometimes devolved) since the early days. Halo is important point in FPS games history, not because the game is anything special, but because it helped to kill PC domination in this genre. Actually many younger games don't even know about pre-Halo FPS on PC (they have most likely only played console FPS). Some could argue that even Halo is ancent history already and latest Modern Warfare is where's it at. Can't blame 'em, since Halo is 10 years old. When I played Wolfenstain 3D in 1992, I sure as hell didn't think about Battlezone from 1983 (I had that too on c64, didn't like it). Gold Source, they used the Quake Engine for Half-Life. Do I need another thesis?

Part 2: The Halo Era Halo was a big step for FPS' as it was the Father of Online, lets say, though like many other successful franchises, it is not overshadowed by Call of Duty and Battlefield, just as Crash became overshadowed by Ratchet and Daxter who in turn are being overshadowed by Skylanders: Sackboy's Prodigy. I'm not saying that Halo is not successful anymore, it still is, but is now overshadowed. Halo was a huge hit for the directXbox. then Halo 2 did nothing new but two things: Play as the Enemy and Online. Suddenly, everybody wanted online, Battlefield, Ghost Recon, you name it. The launch of the Playstation 3 set the deal for Call of Duty 3 to soar, but its numbers, could never match Halo 3's. Call of Duty 4 marked the end of the Halo Era, abruptly ending it as well as the first FPS to successfully Valve's regime, never mind Halo 3 for being console specific and previous CoD titles for lacking what Modern Warfare had [Lets say Valve is at war with Activision and not losing, just building up for a larger assault].

That statement is from a completly logical standpoint wrong. Just because "nobody" cared about it doesn't mean it didn't exist or isn't the actual "first". Of course Wolfenstein and later Doom made the gerne really popular but even they had precedessors. Edit2: Did you edit? Ok, then. Makes more sense now. True, true, but the perspective I'm speaking from is coming from a majority and minority. yes people knew about it, played it and enjoyed it, but compared to platformers and rpgs, the number would be like 1/7 people in a room in the seventies. In the eighties the number would have been virtualy unchanged in some times. It was the nineties that the number jumped to about 3/7.
-
What I meant by that: its the first True FPS. The first genre changing FPS was Maze War, but nobody cared about it back then. Nobody actually knew about it until Wolfenstein and nobody actually cared about it until Doom. That is what I meant by the first First-Person Shooter ever.
-
So this is the third in my official FPS thread topics: Read First: Call of Duty vs Battlefield Read Number B: Call of Duty Now lets look at the wider scale? How does it all start, Campaign. Up until Halo, nobody gave a rats or opossum's ass about Multiplayer. Who started it all, the master studio: iD Software. What did they do, its simple, they invented DOOM. The first First-Person Shooter ever that anybody cared about, you cant say it was bad, it was good, now awesome, but good. Good enough to be loved, good enough to enjoy, good enough to be considered Revolutionary. What did it fail to do? Inspire. You can contest that, but what did it do well enough? Sell enough copies to make Hell on Earth. Hell on Earth was still good as the aforementioned, but it added a component to that good, its called inspiration. Then in 1996, many Doom Clones were released of which the only good one was Disruptor, but the genre still was not popular enough to really inspire, it was still all Hell on Earth for FPS' and iD Software, bad to good. While platformers were gaining more fame, through Mario to Crash Bandicoot [who's better? Mario 64 or Crash 2. You decide]. When Quake came out in 1996, it changed everything. Now it was gone gold, on the PC. Sure the N64 enjoyed it, but did it really? So iD Software managed to inspire the most important developers thus far in the history of FPS: Valve. You got Half-Life and its expansions, Valve took the Quake engine and got Gold Src out of it. What did over 20 Mil copies sold do? It made sure that the FPS Genre was never going to fade out, held on to a series of Doom Clones and iD Software. Suddenly, everybody wanted the game and when Half-Life 2 sealed the deal and became game of the decade, you can consider this part the Activision Renaissance. EA, THQ, Activision and Ubisoft? What do they have in common at the year 2004, attempts to usurp Valve, but did they really do so? Call of Duty came out in 2003, becoming the only true competitor. Then Modern Warfare came out in the year 2007, but did it usurp Valve. Not at all, not at all. MW2, Black Ops and MW3 may have broken all records at this point and made the FPS Genre the dominant genre, but Valve has remained mum in the genre, aside from the release of Portal 2 which seemed to be more of trying to create a sub-genre than vamp the current genre as EA and Activision fail to do. So when will the Activision downfall come? Not at the release of Half-life 2: Episode 3, but perhaps rather at Half-life 3. Or maybe EA will topple Infinity Ward and D.I.C.E will rule? What will happen? Think of it
-
If the Russians wanted they could infiltrate New York and control it, and guess what? Nobody would know about it. Of course in Call of Duty they would try and blow the thing up.
-
Look at Doom, it did not dominate, but it started the FPS, it inspired. It inspired Half-Life, that made Half-Life and expansions dominate. That made Half-Life 2 game of the decade, the Orange Box cannot be beat, its obvious. But who managed to beat Valve, Infinity Ward. That is what I meant. If you don't like Half-Life 2 and you call yourself a FPS Fan, I will slap you in the face.

Call of Duty: The first FPS to challenge Valve and Half-Life. Call of Duty 2: The first fail against Half-Life. Call of Duty 3: So the Treyarch NGL does some good anyways. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - The IW Engine at its finest manages to destroy Valve. Call of Duty: World at War - My world was at its own war, because I found out Treyarch was making it. Call of Duty: Modern warfare 2 - The IW Engine 4.0, so when is this engine going to die. Call of Duty: Black Ops - Wow... it uses the IW 3.0... I'm guessing Treyarch is going their own way with the third iteration of the engine? Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - You make a fourth iteration of this Infinity Ward, drop the Call of Duty or Metacritic is literally going to screw you... So which CoD is the best? Obviously Call of Duty 2: Big Red One.
