The game's are out: Here's what happens: Who wins? Price wins? Who's price, EA's price, all of you who bought B3 got ripped off. Who wins? Call of Duty wins.
-
Where its at?... Half-Life Nothing beats the first.
-
Have not seen a topic like this up here yet, so lets break it down from step I know that B3 comes out in 2 Days. Fans: Both Battlefield and Call of Duty were both created to usurp Valve from that spot as Monarch of the FPS Genre which they got through Half-Life 2. Call of Duty came close, CoD 2 failed, CoD 3 put Treyarch off the map and Modern Warfare usurped Valve. Since MW, Call of Duty has been garnering more and more fans. Its easy to say, that they have more fans than Battlefield people who's fan rate started to drastically rise upon the release of Bad Company, as it was a steady pace before that, slowed a little by Bad Company II, but going far faster for B3, but its not going to be enough for Call of Duty, but that said, EA will finally likely have a stake in the FPS Genre. Gos to CoD. Booty: Yes booty, by booty I mean treasure. Battlefield has always had far more to gain when you've played it, but nobody has ever been able to capitalize on that despite CoD not having this much needed feature. This is something I don't think that they improved at all in B3, how much you can get, they look to have improved the FPS capabilities shown in Call of Duty, but CoD has in one game with two developers passed this point quickly with Call of Duty Elite and the new cash system, but all in all, B3's system will probably run better. Gos to B3 Gameplay: Call of Duty features FPS gameplay to its extent. Battlefield 3 adds vehicles to the mix, Call of Duty offers more booty, who wins: B3, but that doesn't make it a better game. Presentation: Battlefield has always had a better presentation, I mean look at Black Ops, they delved into the story so quickly with no explanation, just shooting. The story was very good, don't get me wrong, but honestly, it seems like a Cold War movie put into eight and less hours of gameplay. Gos to B3. Maps: Call of Duty's maps are always going to be better, I mean look at how much experience Infinity Ward has had, Sledgehammer are the new boys in the game and they have some good ideas there. B3 cannot compete and this is what could make MW3 a better game, its maps, despite the fact that is gameplay is probably not going to be as innovative as B3's, it has the maps that make it feel as if it doesn't need to be innovative, as the maps are what is innovative less gameplay to the character means more room for the maps. Gos to CoD. Lasting Appeal: Call of Duty hands down no argument. Sales: Call of Duty hands down no argument, but it depends on the MW3 now doesn't it? Sounds: Battlefield over CoD, MW3 over B3. This goes to Battlefield. Who Wins: CoD - Five out of Eight Battlefield - Three out of Eight Just because Battlefield got less than five doesn't mean its worse than MW3, because some categories are more important than others.

Luke Goss??? No. If you put him in another theatrical film, the film industry will die. You see, all these characters can pull it off, I once knew a guy that did not believe in evolution. I told him that it was just the concept of one thing becoming greater, not necessarily an ape becoming a man, but rather lets say a video game in which a player controls a dwarf, a sequel in which the player can control either a dwarf or a human and a third game in which the character's sex can be chosen. He did not believe me, whilst I made money off of Evolva. True Story. You see, as movie actors go through more films the actors develop a much better sense as to acting as better characters. In a sense they evolve. So now in his career, Toby Maguire can only play the protagonist, but ten years from now like Orlando Bloome, he will play an antagonist, it can be vice versa as well. Look at how long Broderick has been in the game. I think he can act as Szass Tamm if necessary, but his voice puts him in as a perfect Drizzt. Now, if you say that Vin cannot be stealthy then watch Pitch Black. Kevin Spacey is old enough to have developed a variety of different characters in his HEAD. Now read this: Jarlaxle is always more cunning than action-necessary, he is also over 500 years old. Watch Superman Returns, Kevin is over 50 years old.

So... your saying Ubisoft needs to buy out Obsidian?
-
So... your saying EA should sell out to THQ?
-
Dammit! I already sold him my family fortune to make a history out my Jat/Rajput Clan! F**K! YOU SHOULD HAVE WARNED ME EARLIER. and Wal [hey, Singh is my middle name, it means lion] ham why would I want this guy in the movie:

Should the gameplay go back to being more akin to Baldur's Gate? or take the new path that Dragon Age II was showing to DA becoming more independent and more or less associated with Baldur's Gate. What about the story? New protagonist: good? It is probably just another way to make sure that there are less upgrades. Location, location, location... BioWare only got this right twice: MDK2 and Baldur's Gate

Perfect story for the film (Its a mix of Streams of Silver and Sojourn): Drizzt Do'Urden is relentlessly pursued by his family out of the Underdark and rescued by Mooshie. Out of Mooshie's neighbors, Roddy McGristle grows deep resentment to the Drow. Eventually, the black elf accidentally gets McGristle's dog killed causing the black elf to flee Mundalbar. After meeting up with a ragtag group: a halfling, a human girl and a barbarian, Drizzt escapes McGristle. Unknown to him, the halfling is being pursued by a Artemis Entreri who takes an intrest in Drizzt. When they come to a rest at Citadel Adbar, Entreri kidnaps the halfling and takes him down a tunnel of Adbar where he is pursued by Drizzt. They end up in Mithral Hall where an epic fight scene occurs and eventually Drizzt ends up victorious. When Drizzt and the gang enter Icewind Dale, Drizzt is attacked by McGristle who is sent off with his dogs. Bruenor and Drizzt gain a friendship but unknown to Drizzt, he is being watched by Entreri. Now, who could make this story good: Peter Jackson.
-
Personally, Drizzt should be CGI. Why would I chose Broderick as him? Its simple, I love his voice and the character of Simba reminds me of Drizzt a lot. I mean look at it: Simba, exiled from his home due to its treacherous inhabitents (Ed and Scar); Drizzt, exiled from his home due to its treacherous inhabitants (Matron Malice and his sisters). Now I chose older actors for this very reason: I like the developed Drizzt in a Thousand Orcs far better than the one in Sojourn, but I like the story of Sojourn and Streams of Silver better than a Thousand Orcs story. Keanu Reeves - I guess he is not the right choice for a live-action movie (seeing that picture up there), but he can pull of an animated film. Vin Diesal - Yes, he can pull of Entreri, I mean in Fast 5, he has a motif for vengeance, seen very clearly, in Pitch Black, he has a motif to escape, in this he has a motif to best Drizzt. His characters just need a motif.

That might be what I meant by Redding, but it stayed true to the notation of old-world metropolis' by New Reno. So I'm hoping that Philly works as a Post-Apocalyptic Modern American Wasteland.
-
For the Film: Drizzt - Matthew Broderick, the character of Drizzt completely resembles Simba from Lion King to me. CGI Drizzt or Motion-Capture Jarlaxle - Kevin Spacey, Bald works best Artemis Entreri - Vin Diesel, I just find that Vin works out for this role, considering the fact that it kind of mirrors Riddick Roddy McGristle - Tony Goldwyn, just grow a beard Tony Morkai the Red - Michael Rooker Wulfgar - I would say the John Corbett from 1992, but since that is not him anymore it has to be Keannu Reeves for me Regis - Jay Mohr Catti-Brie - Carla Guginio (Red-her bit*h) Story: Probably a mix between Sojourn and Streams of Silver for me For the game: Something Dragon Ageish
-
Another thing, look at what Fallout, F2 and F3 were all on: the ruins of current metropolises. Fallout: Los Angeles Fallout 2: Sacramento-Redding and Reno Fallout 3: D.C A reason why Philadelphia would work is because its what we consider a Modern American Wasteland (Plattsburgh!). So imagine that dirtrag you put on your bread: in 3D - no, what it would be like after the war.
-
Okay, how about you try breaking off a snout that can rip your arm off.

Yes there is, God is time and space, God is all matter, God is the truth, if you lie, your being ungodly, because God is in all of us, God is all matter. Yes, Gavials are scary, especially in person with it snapping its jaws at you (experience), now imagine it in 3d...er....um mutated.
-
Yeah, except Borneo's not the largest place in the world. If not Canada or Philly, Amritsar. If you don't know, its where the Golden Temple, Sri Harmandir Sahib rests. Imagine that, a whole bust city with mutated elephants, lions, tigers, cheetahs, crocodiles, gavials, indian ghouls, monkeys all surrounding a still gold temple.

Now that you mention it, Montreal would a good option. Detroit is a wasteland; Vancouver became a wasteland post-Stanley Cup; Montreal? Dude, the only faction your going to get in Montreal is a bunch of seperatists fighting the guys from Ottawa. Now that you think of it, no Nuke hit Vancouver, they just lost the Finals the day the Nuke's hit... what a co-incidence. ... ... Yeah, I'm sorry to tell you this.... .... (Why did it have to be me?) Quebecers don't really die, you kill one, you get two more. I'm sorry. The Canada Wasteland, seeing as I'm Canadian, would be a perfect location in North BC, the Yukon region there is perfect, the Ice Wasteland, replace Deathclaws with mutated Plar Bears, those things are creepy enough as it is.

All those locations are good, it would be interesting to see NYC without Jay-Z and Seattle is going to be in FOOL. I personally like the idea of Cuba, Miami was going to be in Tactics 2 and seeing the concept art, don't get too exited about the alligators. Cuba sounds damn interesting though. Why did I chose Philly? I like bread. All jokes aside, this August, on my way from NYC to Toronto, I stopped there to visit relatives and unless your in the right area, Philadelphia is almost already a virtual Junktown, I mean we were passing 7 Eleven and we saw a guy get shot, all these guys and one Chinese person come out the cops come and traffic is halted for a half-hour and my cousins house is a street corner away. Now take away the 7 Eleven and add a Nuka Cola Store; take away the Chinese person and add an Enclave Soldier; take away the dead guy and add a dead Brotherhood Paladin; take away the people and add ghouls; take away the cars and add Super Mutants. Now, I'm getting the idea that Philadelphia will be the last stronghold of the Enclave that the Brotherhood are trying to penetrate but its being protected by the Institution who favor the idea of a super mutant concentration camp. The Enclave on the other hand are trying to hack onto the Liberty Bell, an Old World item that may contian massive power (look at the Platinum Chip and how much power it had, think about how much the Liberty Bell can have). For Cuba, I see a whole Brotherhood Outpost, raider station, Mexican ghoul, emigrating Super Mutants and small NCR-Outpost plot going on.

Some of you are screaming for Detroit. A lot for Chicago. I do not want Detroit. Chicago is a good location as it could tell us all the canon events of Fallout 3 and connect us into a bit more on Ralphie the Eyebot. But this is why Philadelphia works: * Location: Philadelphia is a huge city, its mentioned as being rubble. What could be lurking in it? A lot of dangerous stuff and stuff to shoot for sure. Lonesome Road proved why Old World items can be very important, so I think that like the Platinum Chip (It would have Been funny if the Courier threw it off Hoover Dam), the Liberty Bell might have something Enclave hidden inside of it. Plus, with the Creation Engine, everything will be so much detailed and you'll be able to visit areas from Fallout 3 like the Pitt, D.C and in DLC's you can visit Point Lookout and new areas. * Story: Could involve the Liberty Bell as an Enclave object that they could use to get back to power and the Brotherhood of Steel trying to stop them. Since Philadelphia is close to New York (went to both of them this August, bout a nightly drive), there should be a high Institute activity there as well as Railroad activity and I guess that in the ensuing fight between the Brotherhood and Enclave, the Enclave will decide to aid the Institute in their fight against the Railroad and Brotherhood, because we all know they want the technology, the Railroad will probably help the Brotherhood because they think that they may free the androids, which could lead to the story of Fallout 5. Or maybe it could focus on the Philadelphia vault. * Factions: Raiders from the Pitt (or their remnants), the Institute, the Railroad, the Enclave and the Brotherhood of Ste-e-e-el. I feel that while the game could be centered around Philadelphia, I feel that only L.A could mimic the effect the city of New Vegas had on the game and Philly can not mimic that effect, so I feel that like Fallout 3

How did you get it? Did you buy it in Japan and dub it in English?
-
I know I'm not until six months after its released. It looks really good, I wish they could've added PSMove support, but you cant get everything. So, who's gonna geddit?

Now, the Creation Engine was created from the code of the Gamebryo Engine, so that is the engine the developers would likely choose, but Fallout has shown familiarity to the Gamebryo and might be unjust to the Creation Engine because lets face it, plants do not go well with Fallout, dragons do not mix with geckos. So the Gamebryo might be better suited to Fallout because it already has all of the post-apocalyptic assets for it and it might take some time to convert those assets to the superiority of the Creation Engine, especially the weather and the dust-storms and all, this would be harder if it took place in Philadelphia, the obvious setting. This would take even more time if Bethesda is developing it, they likely have a skeleton crew converting the assets now and switching full-steam to Fallout 4 may be a bit difficult. But then, if they do want to choose a superior engine, wouldn't iD Tech 5 be better suited, it looks better too. So what should they use, GameBryo for familiarity, Creation because its Bethesda, or iD Tech 5 because iD invented it and because its modern and better post-apocalyptic suited.

Yes I've read the book, but vg book adaptions do not always mesh together. Is the game canceled? I ain't heard a thing about it for a while now. What kind of RPG is it? Is it going to closely follow the novels plot? Answer me!
-
It's certainly more realistic than enemies jumping out of closets and public toilets! Dude, enemies jumping out of toilets. Most realistic scenario ever. Happened to me last week in lincoln park. Bed Intruders! But no seriously, I thought Mass Effect was the most modern game ever. Unless your in lincoln park or listening to linkin park, I don't see how either of those things make sense.

You've seen mods Morgoth. Mods. Not Unity 3D work, this is like UDK, just simpler in some ways and advanced in some ways. This is original work that grabs stuff from Maya, Blender, Cheetah, C#, Javascript, Python Script in Boo and 3DS Max. This is far more complex than making a mod. If I was still with my old company, I would have access to an original engine, which I dont. Oh Titanium how I miss ye. If I had that, I'd have had this done in two weeks. Well the programming that is.
