i agree with this 100%. i prefer current implementations for small battles, but not for larger. it's always been my opinion that they should modify the way t-b is implemented. let each side figure out ALL of his party moves/actions, then run a quickie script that executes them in a sort of real-time fashion (keeping in mind that t-b actions must follow required precedence). i think that would be cool to watch, too. you'd still get your "turn" in the right order, but the action would execute as if it were simultaneous. slick indeed it would be. taks

oh, by "favor the sony dsc-h2" i mean given the value range of the camera, i.e 6 mp, $200-$400, etc. obviously true slr 6 mp cameras are preferred. they're just too expensive (then you look at nikon). taks

i've done quite a bit of research on cameras recently and most of the pseudo-professional review sites tend to favor the sony dsc-h2. it's about $300 in the states. 6 mp, super-zoom (i.e. 10x optical zoom, maybe 12x) with stabilization. it's also got an slr-style body. i intend to buy either that, or the dsc-h5 for xmas. taks

i believe we are on cycle 22, which has been a rather intense one. cycle 23 or 24 is supposed to be very weak. could be 20 years or more before the true drop occurs. oh, and any stastical claims such as "1% chance the climate change is due to natural phenomena" are bogus. it is impossible to determine without fully understanding all of the drivers over the course of history. we have 400 years of records in england, but not all of the world, and that is only one 10 millionth of the earth's history. taks

you mean scott peterson? none. first, acquittal in US court does not mean innocent. the way slander/libel laws work in the US, the onus is on the defendant to prove allegations untrue, as well as prove actual damages, a feat that would have been difficult. he'd have to prove that the movie actually stated he was guilty, not just implied. taks

oh, btw, i should note that parallel processing actually works out to a logarithmic increase in speed, btw. i.e. 2 processors perform as well as a sqrt(2) faster single processor, four are twice as fast. this is not a rule, and not exact, but more of something i've seen with my own work. the inefficiency is due to many things, but primarily (in no specific order): memory conflicts (they all share the same memory), I/O bandwidth (I/O is fast enough to feed one processor, but 4 quickly limits the amount of data each processor gets) and dependent operations. the latter is hit or miss, since some threads are easy to separate without any dependencies, but not all fall into this category. taks
