That's pretty much what you do in any type of game with something resembling a story. Actually, it's pretty funny if you compare it to the types of stories in other mediums. I guess game developers just really wanted to up the ante and are now stuck with it.

"Fanboy" isn't really a widely recognized job. Maybe you could get paid by Bioware as a "viral promoter"?

Because it is done by Rebellion who has very little experience with multiplayer games and because it is primarily a console game. This means that the PC version needs a completely separate multiplayer architecture, which will probably be buggy. Seriously, look at Rebellion's previous games.

I could see them using another lame cliche story, but it's been the same one for a while now. Also, I wouldn't get my hopes up for the multiplayer.

They really need to try a different story. The "we crash landed in a colony invaded by aliens, oh and there are also predators" thing is wearing a bit thin.

Giant Bomb gave it three out of five stars. Also after playing the demo, I'm not really exited about this anymore, just another crappy Capcom PC port.

That would probably collapse the space-time continuum or something. Some things were just never meant to be.

Sure, but there are much more innovative ways to present his profession than just "collect X of Z". I'm pretty sure that he didn't want to review half the games he has. This makes the reviews funnier.

And most people disagree with you. How did you manage to play it anyway if you hate Steam so much?

He obviously didn't like the game and presented his perspective which was exaggerated for comic effect. Also those quests were stupid and pretty much like the default MMO quests. Tips for making a better game: don't include optional stupid stuff.

If you don't like Steam, you can't play the greatest games in the last ~5 years which are all conveniently packed in the Orange Box

People raved about it alright, but not because it was good.

The complaint about the collection quests was not valid in the least. The quests were completely optional, easily avoidable and gave no significant rewards. There was no point to do them except to grind .. doing those quests was Yahtzee's own fault. So you can't legitimately criticize the badly designed quests because they were optional? Good argument
