  1. There's a mysterious countdown on the site. Any ideas?
  2. It isn't for me either. I guess Europe got the short end of the stick again. I'm sure you can find it on disc, though. It's really cheap around here at least.
  3. Kicking a skeleton into a bunch of skeletons and watching them all tumble down a flight of stairs is ageless. Impaling the cyclops was pretty rad as well.
  4. I think the spider ate her or something so I never did go down that path.
  5. So you're basically fighting Natasha from Rocky and Bullwinkle? Bioshock would be so much better in a consensus reality Planescape kind of setting. You don't even have to go too far into the fantasy territory. Rapture fell because people lost belief in Andrew Ryan, over the course of the game you use superior firepower to get people to either believe in Ryan's vision again, believe in your own or something completely different.
  6. Be sure to abuse Power Word: Silence once you get it. Oh and Chromatic Orb is awesome, especially when combined with Doom and Greater Malison
  7. It's funny I always wanted to like Leanna, but she was so damn annoying.
  8. I don't have a clue, but you can use Tineye to find out, if you really want to know.
  9. No, just similar and severely lacking in RPG elements, at least back in 07. What were the rpg elements in Bioshock again? It had hacking, weapon upgrades, passive and active powers which is more than most console shooters.
  10. No, just similar and severely lacking in RPG elements, at least back in 07.
  11. It got the praise because it was a shining bacon of light in the dark samey-ness of console shooters, it had a story, a nice setting and RPG elements.
  12. The government "chase the dude with your baton before he hits the alarm" and "crawl on you belly because you threw a TNT crate" were much more fun IMO.
  13. Don't get me wrong, Deus Ex was an excellent game, but the combat was very clunky. Finding new and fun ways to kill enemies was great(traps, reprogramming stuff, stealth, etc.), but the actual shooty/stabby part of combat was horrid.
  14. There's also Serious Sam HD.
  15. Fun is not one of the words I would apply to combat in Deus Ex. Dark Messiah is is awesome, though. Every game needs a kick button.
  16. Crysis starts out ok and goes downhill from there. Have you played the Half-Life 2 episodes as well? If you just want action and don't care about the perspective that much, there's always Batman: Arkham Asylum, Red Faction: Guerrilla, The Max Payne series. Also Dark Messiah is really fun.
  17. Not exactly a superintelligent hive mind of fireflies, but not bad either.
  18. Has it been disproven that she is actually a hivemind of fireflies in a space suit?
  19. I rather burn in hell than read anything in tvtropes Geez, use use wikipedia then. Speaking of things starting with bro, more people should use this to rate games:
  20. You need to brush up on your definitions, man.
  21. Actually...(from Neogaf)
  22. Only if Mel Gibson had demon babies with sword hands.
  23. Read the full thread or at least the first post.
