  1. There's a reason why RF: Armageddon is on sale. They pretty much took everything that made RF: Guerrilla fun and made it superficial while turning the game into a generic corridor shooter where you fight aliens...
  2. I'm going by the unofficial wiki.
  3. She's supposedly twenty and the main dude's girlfriend. The design is.. yeah.
  4. Damn it, no matter how much I despise Ken Levine and Bioshock, I'm still interested in Infinite for some reason. It's probably the cleavage.
  5. I don't like this new paradigm all this GoT stuff is creating. Every single fantasy book is compared to ASoIaF and it's set up as some kind of an untouchable idol to be praised for all eternity. I do like all the deconstruction it's doing, but it's not exactly literary fiction and at the moment it's stuck in the LOST sinkhole of inflated expectations due to uncapped potential. I'd like to see what people think when and if we get to see the prince that was promised, adult dragons and spider-riding abominations. Hopefully this will help funnel people into other cool fantasy authors like Scott Lynch and Joe Abercrombie.
  6. Starting to? Hah! DS3 is supposedly pretty not-broken, though.
  7. I support the poster above me. Hilarious and with a nice Lovecraftian tilt to it.
  8. If one were to read the amazing list some brave soul compiled in the first post, especially paying attention to the words "squad" and "party" one might find something to fit your criteria...
  9. Just noticed this. Also Red Alert 3 and C&C 3 for just a few bucks each. Tiberian Sun pretty much killed my interest in these two series, but are they worth getting? The original Tiberian Sun by Westwood? Repent, heathen!
  10. Pros play it with a mouse, or so I hear... @DN: Yeah, I get it. I was just mocking the hardcore anti-DRM crowd
  11. What if I played the demo, hated it and hate the subgenre as a whole? @DN: Think about it, how is selling your soul to two devils any worse than selling it to one?
  12. You couldn't pay me to play that. In other news, Audiosurf is only €1,49
  13. Glad to see the episodic model isn't completely dead Soo, any more indie games or impressions of games mentioned here...?
  14. Geez, get a subforum, you two! Dark Messiah was awesome, though.
  15. Supporting developers is always nice, but I presume that most people want all their games together in a nice service, not scattered across a bunch of developers' sites that may or may not be available in the future.
  16. In case anyone is still in the dark, Tribes 2 authentication server encryption was cracked some time ago and it's available as freeware now.
  17. Imagine Tribes or Battlefield, but persistent.
  18. That's why you wait until the last day before you buy anything not on daily sale...
  19. Hey, Farcry 2 is on sale. Cool beans!
  20. I can neither confirm nor deny such accusations. Spelunky - A procedurally generated 2D cave explorer, the Roguelike meets a platformer. Free. Armadillo Run - A 3D physics puzzle game. Oldish, but fun. Oh and this GAF thread has a lot of the weirder stuff, a lot of which is free.
  21. Your accusations are as baseless as they are false.
  22. I was going for a PC list. There's a ton of awesome console-exclusive indie games
  23. It needs to be in this thread, I believe in subjective classification. As for lazy Steam links, they're on mad discount and you can easily see trailer/screenshots there. Everyone is welcome to acquire the game directly from the official website should they so desire and the opportunity exist. I am in no way affiliated with Steam or any subsidiaries.
  24. Yup, that looks promising as well. Oh and don't wait too long to check them out, the majority are half off or more on Steam for the Summer Sale.
  25. I found the interactive turn based combat in PA Adventures pretty fun and engaging, but it's certainly not for everyone. This also reminds me of another gem. Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden - This is THE JRPG parody/deconstruction featuring your typical post-apocalyptic JRPG spiel, except it's all about basketball and Space Jam is considered a canonical part of the storyline. You'll run up against all the typical JRPG clich?s only they're turned on their heads. To top it off, it's free. Unfortunately the official site is dead, but a few of the mirrors from the link should still work. . The PST of JRPGs, if you will.
