That's where I got the diabolical idea, actually.

Activision wishes to abolish consoles, migrate entirely to PC
Activision already upped the price for MW2 on the PC up to $60. They don't want to "offer" a $50 price point to anyone, they want the extra $10 in their pocket. Also PC gets neatly around the problem of used game sales.

Dungeon Siege was terrific, but DS2 was dreadful.
Didn't they say they want to involve the player more in DS3, more Diablo style? I personally liked the direct control style of Diablo.

The only actual difference between PC and consoles these days is the controller. You can buy/build a PC that will happily play all recent games without a hassle.

You can make Dragon Age play itself as well.

Activision wishes to abolish consoles, migrate entirely to PC
That's good to hear, I've played stuff with ~150ms lag and lived to tell the tale. As for the Australia comment, I meant that OnLive would have to set up servers there and that their probably going to expand in the US and then probably Europe before reaching Australia, obviously this is just wild speculation on my part.

Dragon Age 2
I don't think someone who rises to power is necessarily a chosen one, not that the rags to riches thing hasn't been done a million times either. Speaking of chosen ones, The Longest Journey had a nice twist on that trope.

The thread is 10x funnier than the videos

I'm sure this time around everyone will get the bastardized version

@Orogun01: Yeah, super awesome elite organizations seem to be Bioware's crutch. Just like energy sucking and/or extraordinary manipulation skills are Obsidian's.

I don't know if D3 has a rotating camera or not, but I don't think that you can zoom so the perspective would still be forced.

C&VG: Sega rules out Alpha Protocol sequel
ME2 was better overall in terms of quality, gameplay and general enjoyment. The story was pretty non-existent and I didn't really like the do-it-yourself pacing, especially when the story is instilling a sense of urgency. Also the end boss was pretty cringe-worthy. As for AP, the characters were good, the story was so-so and they did some interesting things with the perks, intel, dossiers and the dynamic mission structure. The gameplay was straight from hell, non-cutscene animations cringeworthy and I especially hate mini-games that don't pause the main game. In the end, while ME2 was a lot more formulaic and lacking in places, it was obviously a better game overall. I don't particularly want to replay either of them, though.

Fallout Online
Do they need to be? It works, and well. I mean why have pop-up cutscenes when you can just have cutscenes without popup windows? Obviously Diablo 3 is doing it because of the forced perspective and because Blizzard has more money than Scrooge McDuck. Of course ~I have a 9800GTX wasting watts. I have nothing against good graphics, but I do believe that a game need not have them to be a good game ~Gameplay does not hinge on the graphics (if its a good game). Having to do two different sets of graphics sounds like a monumental waste of resources. It's easier to just have nice looking models in the first place, which I suggested a page or two ago.

You need at least 5Mbs for 720p as per OnLive's requirements.
-
Fallout Online
Not like that exactly.. What you see in the released videos is a pop-up menu center screen with a portrait. (Pop-up like the popup in my aimed shot clip from a few posts before.) **scrambles off to Youtube to make sure **Edit: Here is what I meant... Pop-up cutscenes don't seem particularly revolutionary. So you want better quality models for dialogs/cutscenes for the future of Fallout?

Obsidian would like to work on Chrono Trigger
I dug up SEGA's parent company's financial year report and they do indeed publish game sales, so we should get Alpha Protocol's sales whenever they release the next quarterly report(I guess).

Obsidian would like to work on Chrono Trigger
Indeed, but using arbitrary yardsticks like one million without knowing anything else won't get us anywhere.

Dragon Age 2
You'll still have a limited budget, it's cheaper to bring in 6 crappy voice actors than pay for 6 awesome ones. I would also think that they have auditions before choosing them.
-
Dragon Age 2
I'd rather have 2 good voice performances than 6 mediocre ones. At some point it will start cutting into the script length as well. And it's not like you'll know which ones are better when you pick it.

OMG I shall not care about something posted on TEH INTERNET? blasphemy!!! Well, you acted like I was forcing you to subscribe at gunpoint. You did not? Go back and read your post instead of being all incredulous.

Obviously it depends on the budget and the expectations. Activision would probably not be happy with MW2 selling only a million copies.
