  1. Well same offer applies to you and Hurlshot, you would basically pay for the flight and some spending money Transport and accommodation is free ?
  2. You mustn't worry about the crime, yes it is real and worrying but we dont see it and its not something you tend to think about in most places
  3. It looks great but the house seems a bit small but how much space do you need for a getaway gas geyser = hot water heater? You right, its very small...I copied these statistics One bedroom with high ceiling • One bathroom • Open-plan kitchen, dining and living area • Gas geyser and cooker • Solar power But I see they say you can build additional buildings Oh Shady the same invite I told GD about to come visit SA you can also come to visit to SA and bring the wife if you want, in fact I extend the offer to most other members who I know....I just need to know who As I said I am proud of SA and if I can incentivize you guys to come visit that works for me
  4. Heck that looks like a place I'd love to live. I have been looking at the photos and Im also convinced because its about taking a break away from the frenetic nature of my new job in the city, I haven't really taken much leave the whole year and Im taking 20 days over Xmas @ GB I mentioned this before to you, you must come visit SA. You pay for the flight and you can bring someone with if you want and we can stay at this house if we buy it. So the accommodation is free in SA, I like to encourage people to come to SA and if I cant utilize family assets for visitors then it would seem sad...but my family are very cool and I just need to confirm what weekend...come to SA for 7 days I say? But we have other places like the beach cottage but this place is ideal for you I agree
  5. You laugh but there are always some kind of wild animal near this type of remote house but not lions Thatch is common in SA, its durable and keeps out the elements ...it lasts about 15-20 years as its treated by a tar of sorts ...I had to research it below http://www.amazuluinc.com/2013/05/31/how-long-does-thatch-roof-last/
  6. http://www.perfecthideaways.co.za/accommodation/kogelberg-farm/ Guys take a look at this property and tell me if you would buy it as a family investment option, all 5 of my siblings have to agree Anyway take a look at the sliding photos and see if it looks worthwhile....Im unsure as it looks a little desolate
  7. Personally I dont think Trump knew anything about the indictments around the criminal activities like money laundering and I also dont think Trump knew many Russians or directly colluded with Putin but key people in his campaign did work with the Russians and thats what I want to know
  8. Guys most of the actual charges are linked, for example, to Manafort's Ukraine dealings and are not specifically about the Trump campaign but they talk about a criminal conspiracy which will bring in other people. Also these people, including George Papadopoulos, were all active and vociferous Trump sycophants and Trump campaign aides It doesnt look great for Trump and his whole " we are going to drain the swamp " ......his swamp appears to be more murkier, deep and tenebrous than the swamp he wanted to remove
  9. Manafort and Gates both being charged with money laundering and other crimes ...great team you had there Trump http://edition.cnn.com/2017/10/30/politics/paul-manafort-russia-investigation-surrender/index.html
  10. Islamic extremism is the cause of these ecological problems Bennie, everyone knows that
  11. I have always considered you one of the most prudent and insightful members on this forum, this post just confirms what I knew
  12. Who is we in this context? Well, I was really attempting to be humorous by ripping off a line from the original Planet of the Apes. But to answer your question the "we" would be the people who can read f-----g play without feeling so traumatized they need to see a f-----g therapist afterwards. Well some people that were victims of attacks like in the play might have some reason to be upset. There is a warning in the notes, how is that skin off your nose? c'mon, what percentage of people these days are personally exposed to rape or murder? 0,01%? In South Africa they say we have a "rape culture " http://www.destinyconnect.com/2017/07/11/rape-culture-south-africa/ I dont like the term "rape culture " because it applies rape is almost acceptable in South Africa, its not. Its a blight and scourge on our society and everyone I know is vociferously opposed to it and its often discussed and harshly criticized...but it is one of several societal problems we grapple with on an almost daily basis I dont know a single person who doesn't know at least one women who hasn't been raped or a victim of sexual violence so your 0.0.1% numbers are horribly inaccurate Statistically we probably have about 200 reported rapes a day, our population is 56 million so thats quite high http://rapecrisis.org.za/rape-in-south-africa/ And I can share one more thing, as a man its one of the worst experiences and utterly emasculating when you have any lady in your life who is a victim of rape because all the words of support and comfort you think you will say to help them suddenly seem irrelevant compared to there real trauma and emotional state
  13. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/oct/14/last-isis-fighters-in-raqqa-seek-deal-to-leave-former-capital-in-syria I had to revive this thread because now I can say the " Caliphate " of ISIS is finally at an end, there are more or less 500 extremists left in Raqqa...and then the fake Caliphate that straddled two sovereign countries will be at an end
  14. Yes that one particularly use to both annoy me and make me laugh.....and trust me living in SA this is one I consider myself an expert on
  15. Its okay Gfted1, I can completely understand you finding comfort temporarily in the arms of other crewmen....Im sure everyone did it back then. No judgement from my side
  16. Sharp_one you do realize if Germany collapses Poland will be following it shortly afterwards down the economic maelstrom The EU offers the best economic future for a country like Poland, there is no realistic better alternative
  17. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/sep/22/germany-faces-first-far-right-party-in-parliament-since-second-world-war Im not happy with the success of the AfD
  18. Bennie who did your family generally vote for ?
  19. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/german-election-results-urban-liberal-150900075.html http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/0/german-election-2017-polls-odds-tracker-will-angela-merkel-remain/ This is a very important election, thankfully its looking good for Merkel
  20. I think the premise of the point that Antifa today in the USA is the same as Antifa from the past is not an accurate comparision Historical Antifa was opposed to fascist movements that wanted to control governments and were a real ideology that ended up ruling some countries But Antifa nowadays is opposed to some right wing views some people in the USA have, its not like Trump is a real fascist or practices real Neo-Nazism Maybe since here in Merica since our political system is a bit different wording and definitions, they look like brown shirts to me. I mean I can understand and appreciate punching a Nazi or a klans man in the face, but I can't agree or like mimicking brown shirts (the enemy) as the way to get to the face to punch if that makes any sense. Red can I tell you something interesting about these debates that occur in Western countries and both sides, left and right, at times seem to do this People ignore or forget nuance or the principle of " grey areas ", for example at Charlottesville there was violence from both sides....you could see it on any news coverage. But does this mean the fear of white supremacists isn't real or a concern? Of course it is but it would be inaccurate to label all the people on the right as neo-nazis or that they were the only ones involved in violence

  22. Give TP 2 are watch because I want to see if someone else understands whats going on, no one I know in SA has watched it so I have no one to ask questions to I know I can find the plot on the Internet and what its all about but thats just the easy way to pretend I understood the narrative
  23. I watched the last episode of the new season of Twin Peaks, firstly after about episode 5 I started enjoying the season despite initial criticism I had but I still think it has to have the most confusing and incoherent plot I have ever seen in any series I have ever watched I only understand about 45 % of the overall narrative, does anyone on this forum understand what the overall story is about, for example these are the types of questions I have What was the purpose of the " evil Cooper ", I assume he was in fact that evil entity they mentioned called June or similar? How can Laura Palmer be alive if she was killed in season 1 What is that weird dimension some of the characters keep going to Why did the " good cooper " become Duggie....or was he Who was that murderous hobo who killed the guy in the car Anyway I did enjoy the season but why make the story so difficult to follow?
  24. I have never hated Trump even though I wanted Hilary to win. I want global economic stability, growth and sustainability, security and Western values and ideology to be replicated world wide so there is prosperity and better quality of life for all The USA is the foundation of these objectives so I dont want the USA president to implode and impact these objectives, Trump around most international policy decisions has been fine. Its his domestic policies that have been concerning and some of his tweets and public comments to be questionable, impulsive, petulant or demonstrate poor judgement
