  1. Comrade, its unpatriotic to not support NATO if you a US citizen !!! Its traditional as apple pie and cream for the US and I am sure you like apple pie and cream ?
  2. I started watching Lucifer again, I am on season 1 and previously I only got to episode 3 and then for some reason I stopped watching it ...its fun and entertaining. I wont say excellent but its worthwhile
  3. Also Trump never understood the history of NATO and never supported it properly, this led to both China and Russia becoming emboldened in certain ways during his presidency. Yes its a creation of the Cold War and was designed primarily to counter the USSR so I have to ask is it relevant because its not like you going to see a traditional war between Russia or China or the USA? But NATO makes sense more from an optics point of view and also presenting a unified front to the "aggressions " of China and Russia The thing is NATO is more of a US aligned institution because without the contribution from the US it becomes nothing but a talk shop. And I have no issue with this as I absolutely believe and support the important role the US plays in ensuring a better world based on Democratic principles and encouraging healthy, sustainable globalization which benefits us all But what happens when you get another Trump president? Are we going to see the US pulling away from NATO again which basically renders NATO impotent. So we need consistency from the US if NATO is going to be relevant @Gorth Gorthfuscious this should make you happy as its a good way to address Chinas unreasonable hegemony in your region? You never know, maybe you can cancel your weekly Mandarin classes...I respect the fact you enjoy them and you committed to learning other languages but if you dont need to then you can spend time doing other things
  4. What vaccine will you be taking and how are things with the virus spread in Brazil, are things better now overall ?
  5. Thats makes sense, great explanation The reason I am asking is we are trying to address the virus spread in SA and we have several illogical and counter-productive measures in place that different institutions within both private and public sector implement when their is a case of the virus and some of these measures seem pointless to me based on what we are discussing. So our problems are not just lack of vaccines but how we seem to understand the virus For example last year in the public and private sector schools, but mostly public sector schools, when their is a case of the virus that either children or teachers manifest the following happens They immediately shut down the schools and send everyone home for 2 weeks Then they deep clean the school as if that will somehow eradicate the virus but the virus is spread by people and not desks and floors After 2 weeks if you not feeling sick then everyone goes back to school with NO confirmation testing. So this completely ignores asymptomatic carriers who could get the virus 2 days before going back to school and also the unusual case of a longer 2 week incubation period Last year the pointless strategy of deep cleaning cost us R500 million rand in one province alone https://www.timeslive.co.za/news/south-africa/2021-05-28-schools-deep-cleaning-no-different-from-spring-cleaning/ Anyway my frustration is I want SA to be able to address the virus spread until vaccines arrive and our approach is inconsistent with what the science tells us
  6. " I will see you in another life, when we are both cats” Vanilla Sky, 2001
  7. Its a pity you and I never got married, we have so much in common like an appreciation of good food and an enjoyment of cooking
  8. @Zoraptor If you get exposed to the virus you normally have a 2-7 day incubation period before you may actually get the virus During this incubation period if you take a virus test is it effective because I cant see how it would work unless you have the virus either asymptomatically or symptomatically So what I am trying to understand is what is the point of taking a Corona test during the incubation period? Or do these Corona tests still provide some value
  9. Its a great RPG, I played it for the first time about 30 months ago and I spent 280 hours on it. I used about 200 mods and they really added to the overall experience and modified the game and narrative in an exciting and believable way. But I only used Mods that ensured the theme was still post-apocalyptic. For example I added Vampirism but this was a type of virus so it wasnt any incongruous " supernatural " themes that was inconsistent with the Fallout world
  10. I'll watch those videos and I must say I was initially surprised when you said you dont like rating games on a score system because in life scoring systems and statistics gathered to create those scores are used ubiquitously to create all kinds of useful information that directly and indirectly influence us on many levels .....like so many restaurants we may or may not visit due to reviews But you have a real ability to describe games in an interesting, objective and informative way so you dont need to use a rating system to share information and help others decide if a particular game is worthwhile. This review was great and it reminds me of your GW2 review But I will watch the videos you posted for additional information because I have one criticism I feel about this game but I am not sure if its valid or I will explain it properly. I dont like the graphics, it reminds me of a children's cartoon And I am not a graphics elitist, I play old RPG fairly regularly like Morrowind
  11. I just watched The Equalizer again, its such a brilliant movie. Denzil Washington plays the role of a cynical ex-special force\CIA operator so well. It reminds me of Man on Fire, another one of his movies that is one of favorites
  12. Great news and what an exciting anniversary for such a well respected company that has bought us so much entertainment through the years I wonder what exciting things the Mods have got planned on the forum to celebrate this event, I imagine free games or large amounts of cash prizes...maybe a free gaming machine but a high-end one. Top of the range
  13. Are you enjoying it, what would you give it out of 100 based on your experience so far ?
  14. Redfall looks very entertaining, I wonder if its MP or you have to play it in MP because of the party you have? I hope its single player as well. I enjoy the concept of MMO but I am not crazy on MP games
  15. The comments from that women were appalling and she made several inaccurate statements which is normal for this type of populism ....imagine sitting next to her at a wedding, I dont think their would be one thing I would agree with her on. If she was hot I could find some common ground and agree with some of her ideological views...but I doubt she would date an infidel I wonder what she meant by " and encouraged them to remember their “jihad” and reject the concepts of objectivity and neutrality " ?
  16. My view on this type of selective and revisionist history is well known. Anyone comparing the US to groups like the Taliban, or singing the praises of the Soviet Union, clearly havent bothered to research or understand what the Taliban represent and what they have done within Afghanistan so its not worth getting into a debate with people with such little knowledge of the subject they want to discuss
  17. Join the club, who isnt a fan of isometric RPG's
  18. I was thinking about my cooking of certain meals and then comparing them to restaurant food and in most cases restaurant food is always of a better quality and taste than what I can cook. And thats fine because restaurants, for example, which are French themed have trained Chefs in French cuisine so you expect the food to be of a high standard But I do a better cooked breakfast than most breakfast places, thats the exception and I was thinking why my breakfasts always taste better and its because of the myriad of ingredients I cook and the freshness and quality This morning I am having hashbrowns, cheese grillers, fried eggs, toast and boerewors which is a type of sausage Then I eat breakfast with the scientifically, proven best breakfast sauce in the world..brown sauce. If you have never used a brown sauce with your breakfast then you havent lived and I urge you to change your eating habits. Here is an example of a common brown sauce which you should be able to buy where you live, I have tried many brown sauces but HP is stil the best https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brown_sauce https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_Sauce
  19. Okay good to know you arent betraying the principle of hardcore games entirely , I was worried but I feel much better now Because if games from East European developers start trying to pander to SJW and liberal agendas then we have no chance ...no chance for future entertaining and sustainable gaming that we all enjoy
  20. Last night I had a steak and decided to do something different to create a sauce that I always see being done on the Food Network on DSTV I cooked the steak in a frying pan and once it was done I poured away the excess fatty oils but kept some stock and " burnt bits " in the pan. I then mixed corn-flour with some water and poured that in. That created, as expected, a delicious and robust steak sauce like a bought stock sauce but this was natural and fresh. I then mixed in that a good quality, store bought cheese and mushroom sauce which created this scrumptious hybrid cheese and steak sauce which I used with the steak and potatoes for dinner And it was really tasty
  21. You make some irrefutable and accurate historical points, but we cant disentangle the Syrian conflict and the Iraq Invasion and its direct influence on ISIS and your timelines highlights that For example the Al-Nusra Front was created in the inferno of the Syrian conflict and you can see the part they played in ISIS if you reference your timeline So yes its one of those agree to disagree that the US invasion of Iraq was the reason ISIS was created, it contributed. But it wasnt the only factor or conflict
  22. You could argue that but its a tenuous and difficult point to make a convincing argument around because of all the moving parts with the creation of ISIS and how to connect them so that the Bush Administration takes most responsibility For example the Arab spring also contributed towards the creation of ISIS with different Sunni militia groups coming together in conflicts like Syria. The Syrian conflict was a result of the Arab Spring and not the invasion of Iraq that created that vacuum you mentioned that I agree definitely contributed towards ISIS But the more important point now in the ME is that no one argues about its creation or debates these things. ISIS is the most hated group and everyone is against them....all countries in the ME that could contribute resources to the final assault on the Caliphate in 2018 did so. It was quite an amazing development for me to see, I have never seen the countries of the ME work together like that and I was very impressed with their commitment because it was a hard and brutal series of battles. Thousands of soldiers from ME countries died in the final days of the end of the Caliphate The conspiracy theories become meaningless when you are dealing with the actual reality on the ground
  23. You right, Im shocked I tell you ...absolutely gobsmacked !!! I always assumed Eastern European developers were hardcore but creating " game soap " just seems below them @Chilloutman and @Mamoulian War Whats going on ...are you guys going to start creating these SJ games that say " no to violence because it corrupts young minds " ?? I am very worried
  24. Good catch Zora and I did frame my point incorrectly. In fact what I wanted to say was " ISIS has killed more Muslims than they have killed Christians, Jews , "Westerners " and other ethnic and religious groups in the ME" . I can see how my post could easily be misconstrued and I appreciate the chance to correct it So when you find anyone but particularly a Muslim, like Omar, feeding false narratives or conspiracy theories about terrorist groups like ISIS, The Taliban or AQ what they must realize is these groups kill more Muslims than Westerners. So you would end up ostensibly defending the likes of ISIS when you peddle conspiracy theories For example believing and repeating " ISIS was created by the CIA to destroy the ME " and similar things. And we also experienced numerous Trump linked conspiracy theories like " ISIS is going to invade the USA through Mexico " https://www.huffpost.com/entry/isis-myths-debunked_n_5875050 I have heard this in SA occasionally even now when around certain global developments and terrorist attacks with some people phoning in on talk shows and denying ISIS is real and claiming its an American plot to control oil supply in the ME Yes its based on complete misinformation and lack of interest in confirming what you say in public is even remotely true but that doesnt make it less irritating and frustrating because it spreads misinformation So with Omar I am surprised she has such a lack of real interest in Islamic extremism and its insidious influence in parts of the world. She originally comes from Somalia and was born in 1982 but left in 1995 to immigrate to the USA, I would have assumed she would know about Al-Shabaab and how it has devastated Somalia. And like Boko Haram they aligned themselves ideology with ISIS But it seems its easier to compare the US military to Islamic extremist groups like ISIS than to call them out despite all the real carnage they have created in Somalia, and other African countries, and still do
