  1. Dark how many women in Poland are brick layers or work in construction? If its like SA then very few, this is SEXIST and another example of the patriarchy !!! We need to pass laws to ensure we see proper representation and transformation in this sector
  2. Why am I not surprised with the lack of efficacy from the Chinese vaccines, 50 % or less as the article mentions But I dont see the issue with it only lasting 6 months and needing another jab because my understanding is 6 months is normal for all vaccines .....or rather we dont have enough definitive data to understand how long your Corona anti-bodies created by any vaccine will last?
  3. How would you compare it to Dying Light if you have played it ?
  4. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1259420/Days_Gone/ Has anyone played this game on Console, its just been released on Steam and Epic and it looks excellent. It reminds me of Dying Light and could be my zombie killing fix until DL2 is released
  5. As I always maintain, drones really can be beneficial
  6. You make some good points and I agree with several of them But we cannot or shouldn't underestimate how the initial immigration policy of 2015 increased the support for anti-immigration parties and their influence on the real survival of the EU. I agree that racists have always existed in the EU and euro-skepticism and anti-EU sentiment has been around for decades but this was different The frustration from many people in many EU countries due to being told by the EU, " you must accept immigrants in the interests of diversity and human rights " ( or similar arguments ) led to many people who are not racists or right wing simply rejecting it and voting against the status quo because they felt unfettered immigration was leading directly to an erosion of EU culture and identity. Whether we agree with this sentiment or not the voting success of anti-immigration parties demonstrates this is a real view on the ground in the EU Just take this forum and ask our EU forum members how they feel about immigration to the EU and was the implementation of it in 2015 something they support ? And this forum has got very few racist or right wing members IMO And finally I am not opposed to immigration at all especially when it comes to the EU requirement you mentioned for certain skills. But it must be managed properly and cannot be forced down on all EU countries
  7. The initial policy that Germany would welcome 1.5 million immigrants and this then changed to suddenly hundreds of thousands of immigrants, outside of the initial offer from Germany, arrived on EU borders with expectations they would automatically become citizens https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/oct/08/refugee-crisis-germany-creaks-under-strain-of-open-door-policy Also expecting all EU counties to accept immigrants lead to the rise of anti-immigration and right wing parties that nearly lead to countries like France leaving the EU under the control of bigots like Le Penn. This also was one of the primary reasons for Merkel stepping down this year https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-46020745 I am genuinely surprised you would ask " what mistakes " because the immigration policy implemented by Germany in 2015 was a disaster for the stability of the EU
  8. Just on Merkel, I am a huge supporter of her and Germany. They have demonstrated that a country and its people can recreate their image and their identity after a very violent and dark past. If you look at Germany now compared to how the world viewed them after WW2 they are the perfect example of how any country can become a wealthy and admired country through political will, Democratic values and sustainable economic policies I think Merkel has done an excellent job as the German chancellor and nowadays Germany is considered one of the most influential countries in the EU and they did this without military hegemony The only " mistake " Merkel made was the original, well meaning but disastrous policy around the uncontrolled immigration policy around Syrian and other immigrants But this has now been addressed and immigration to the EU is now better managed
  9. I have decided to play ELEX as my next game, I have very fond memories of Piranha Bytes due to the excellent and memorable Gothic series so I am excited to see how they did with this new game
  10. Im impressed, well done for getting your jab. And you and Gfted1 were saying you were not in a rush or keen to get a vaccine so this is good news
  11. Much of the sanctions against Russia are not just about Ukraine, its about human rights abuses and illegal activities like assassinations on UK soil https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/uk-sanctions-russians-saudis-magnitsky-powers-71631946 https://www.politico.eu/article/eu-council-cyber-sanctions-russia-china-hackers/ And never forget the important Magnitsky legislation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnitsky_Act
  12. Its good to have an open diplomatic relationship with Russia and other countries that disrupt global peace and sustainability Russia is an important country and sits on the UN security council, no country is unequivocally Russophobic. Governments in most Democracies object and have issues with Russia's constant illegal activities like the assassination of Russian dissidents in the UK and their state sponsored hacking similar to the SolarWinds example So the sanctions and criticism towards Russia is not unwarranted but self-inflicted by Putins choices around certain geopolitics decisions
  13. Isn't Germany already firmly in the " Western " camp, the EU is one of the worlds bastions and examples of economic success, human rights and equality. That is why so many people want to immigrate their from non-Western countries
  14. Most of you guys have probably heard of the unacceptable "hijacking " of the Ryanair plan over Belarus in order to illegally arrest a Belarus journalist who has been very critical towards Lukashenko But according to Belarus authorities the plane was diverted because.....of a bomb threat from Hamas. That is new, playing the " Hamas was going to blow up a plane " card .... https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2021-05-24/belarus-points-to-hamas-bomb-threat-in-plane-diversion-hamas-rejects-claim
  15. What ????? Dont you like Take Two, what about its subsidiary companies like Rockstar Games?
  16. https://www.polygon.com/22444608/resident-evil-horror-eugenics-military-government-themes I found this article interesting but I am never convinced by false equivalences to developments or historical crimes linked to thinks like white supremacy only ( The Japanese in WW2 also believed and practiced eugenics as mentioned )or Capitalism ....I dont see the valid connection between an economic system and the flawed science of eugenics? But its a good read....I love the confirmation bias at the end of the article where the writer says " but what truly makes it a classic is its ever-evolving narrative that reflects the fears in our modern society: eugenics, white supremacy, the military industrial complex, and capitalism " Since when did Capitalism become something our societies fear....by that argument does that mean we do not fear socialism or Communism ?
  17. https://www.destructoid.com/stories/take-two-posts-record-3-37-billion-in-revenue-has-huge-release-plans-for-the-coming-years-629847.phtml Here is some good news from the owners of GTA and RDR2, record profits and of course this bodes well for gaming generally so its good news for all of us irrespective if this profitability is about the holding company Take-Two
  18. I completed Morrowind yesterday, the main quest. I spent about 125 hours on this classic game and it was well worth it. The game gets a solid 70% on the globally followed " BruceVC gaming rating system ". Like with Ubisoft games the inevitable " Elder Scrolls fatigue " sets in because you can only explore so many Daedric Shrines and Dwemer ruins before you want to move on with completing the narrative. I wont be playing the expansions but I will be now moving on to Oblivion and then Skyrim which I have never played before....their should be a law making it mandatory for all RPG gamers to play Skyrim and I should be penalized for my oversight !!!! After I have completed the single player ES games I want to start on ES Online so I appreciated the lore and reminders of history in Morrowind So in summary, Morrowind is a great and complex game considering the myriad of quests and NPCs you can interact with that have nothing to do with the main quest. I think the magic system and skill progression is a good system and rewards you for using skills as you adventure and explore the world A real classic and highly recommended, its the epitome of sandbox and that is something I love about the Elder Scrolls gaming franchise And of course always use Mods to improve your gaming experience....never forget Mods
  19. I played and completed SR3 & 4 and they were fun, nothing compared to the brilliant GTA series of course but the game design is intentionally not suppose to be the same They the type of game series I would only recommend you buy when they on a huge discount , 70-90 %, on Steam or other gaming distribution websites
  20. That is good news, vaccines are a wonderful thing
  21. Thats interesting, but that really leaves loads of questions ...we dont even know who the main character will be but that shouldnt be an issue yet. I can think of lots exciting ideas of narratives for the main quest so CDPR will be fine with all their talented writers For example it could be about another Witcher trying to rebuild his specific Witcher school, like the School of Vipers? And if its not even about a Witcher their are plenty of other stories and events to integrate the game into like something Nilfgaardian ? Anyway I am going to be positive until something makes me question that
  22. I see your point, it can lead to something positive in respects to the stated design changes that Witcher 4 needs to be fresh....but then I start getting worried, I am worried the design and implementation of something fresh lacks historical resonance and we get a W4 that is nothing like the previous 3 excellent games with a character we cant identify with Im sure I am being irrational but I often believe, not all the time, the old adage " if its not broken, dont fix it " ....so they shouldn't go too radical around overall design in W4
  23. Its a great game, you wont be disappointed...get into hunting and kill the Legendary Animals, lots of fun. And always do side missions so you dont finish the main story too early
  24. I didnt realize they hired Anita, what a waste of money unless you want to be divisive and alienate gamers
  25. Gromnir this is a very thoughtful, sincere and honest post and I agree with almost all of it My 3 years at university did nothing for my life lessons that were coming, university is just suppose to be about getting a degree to work in a certain sector ...thats its primary purpose We must never forget or ignore the importance of gaining life experience by working
