Uhm I think the first point could be a good idea only for swarms on your base, I like rn the number of insects on the map, is enough to give the feel and atmosphere that you can be attacked in any moment, having more numbers could feel like an mmo. And tbh looking how sometimes creatures end bugged, i dont know if adding more numbers could be good... not only in performance but it could be excesive, right now I see moments when black and red ants pack on one place, like 10 or 15 at the same time. Idk, atm I can walk like 10 min on the map and have more than 20 encounters with bugs, first days playing this game it was for me just avoiding everytime creatures here and there, now I have routes where I know I can walk more or less safe But at the same time, if we get more traps, turrets or more defenses in general I dont mind to have swarms of creatures attacking your base of course... At the second point, well... maybe its me but I play on medium, mild I think is called right? sometimes enemies like bombardier or even larvas hit me and I take too little hp, like 1 or 2%, others they just erase me with one or two attacks to the point of thinking this is like Dark souls , both examples with ladybug armor and shield. I know some of them have strategies and so but I think the damages are perfect, though heavy hitters will need more interesting mechanics than just hit you, like mini bosses... not normal or medium enemies. third point well, yes its an EA game XD more content is coming if you see the "feature board" on the website, but I agree with Pellah, I hope map as big as gta is not comming (and I love big maps like AC odyssey gams), the actual map when I started felt small at first, till I discover more zones like the sand box or the picnic table, and assuming they are going to fill the rest of the "square" of the garden? its more than enough. A map as big as GTA5 means a tremendous work, looking at the detailed zones we have rn on the map, and it means we will definetly need something to travel fast, because no one is that masoquist to travel GTA5 walking XD. My expectations on the map is the "square" map we already know and maybe for the future, some zones inside the house with new creatures and resources. But GTA size? that means you want a map the size of a big children's public park, not a small garden, in comparison to the gta map... the current map on grounded will be like having only the airport on GTA5 and obv walking, no vehicles XD. EDIT: Returning to the heavy hitters and challenge that Jeannette Saunders mentioned, remember that not everyone has the same skill to play the game, I have friends struggling sometimes on the game with some creatures or having problems trying to perfect block, or just blocking. If anything creature density should be a server option or tied to the difficult setting. The feature board on the website already mentioned "More Control over World Options / Settings" so I expect we have more control on our game sessions like changing the weather (when added) how long is the night/day cicle, resource spawning time, creature density, difficulty etc...

I think I rather want a fast dodge than a roll... roll can work on third person but on first person could be confusing, while just a fast dodge will work on both views. Could be double shift or a specific key to perform it, and why not upgradeable by mutations or by milk molars (stats) having more dodges. Although take in to account that if the mechanic implemented makes the game a lot easier, that could lead to OB balancing the game difficulty and bugs, being maybe, faster with quicker attacks or more combos, because we will have dodge + shield/block. And well it will lead to funny or rage moments depending where you fight it you fall on the haze trench, or to watter, or just stuck on 2/3 grass steems Anyway Im not against the roll, I like it and could be an option to choose on the character selection, just "choose your prefered style Roll/Dodge". In fact better be an option I play on first person (sometimes third) but my friend plays third always from the moment I said to him how to use third person camera xd

I like that idea, although I dont like if the ice ends melted with time even on the fridge, if you have your base far from that biome could be annoying to traver back and forth to retrieve ice. And about bugs, well I know a few insects that could be resistant to freeze or cold temperatures, but why not have some of them freeze like rocks on that biome XD so you can use the hammer to brake them and take, for example... iced resources and mabe do a fresh based weapons, wich rn the only one with base fresh that I know is the mint mace

Suggestion about grass respawn
MrSeriouscat replied to Shaq2k's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
I think I suggested this already but it was on steam. A nice way to fix this and remain intuitive would be doing it like its done on terraria and starbound. Make it so to see the grass grow, you have to replant the node. At least this could work with basic grass. If you dont want those grass steems just chop it, they will never grow till you pick the seed or fibers and replant them in the node. While having the seed on hands you could have a node visor to know where could be planted. I know its bugged rn and its a big problem for players who have their bases on grass zones. But this way we could have more control over the map and our buildings, without having to worry if its bugged or if you need to leave or cut the base of the grass, because now due to this bug Idk if to see the grass regrow I have to leave or cut that base -
Suggestion: UI & HUD
MrSeriouscat replied to eloquentire's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
Now that you bring this... would be cool as well if we add somewhere the actual buffs and the time on the UI so we dont need to go to the inv menu. I think that, at least as an option, HP, hunger, thirst and stamina could be represented with percentages if not numbers. -
Suggestion: Bikes, Boats & Hitches
MrSeriouscat replied to eloquentire's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
Nice suggestions, and the moment I read the rubber band one I thought for some reason on a cableway, maybe with pulleys and rope we could do an advanced zipline to do trip backs even if you are on the lower zipline side. -
Personal suggestion (paper plate)
MrSeriouscat replied to SgtMassacre's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
I understand but well looking at this post (didnt know the plate wasnt there) And the responses, I think its something that you should take in to account for next buildings. In the end its, as I said, an EA game (Early accesss) things may change or not, and you have to live with that. I did a nice base on the baseball ball and Im already thinking and preparing myself if the base end break or dissapearing -
Game pass is the Microsoft monthly service, paying every month you can enjoy all the aviable library of games. Here on Spain it usually costs 10-13€ but for newcomers the first month offer is 1€. I dont know how much is it there on mex. I know that Grounded never had any offer on steam, but you can try to see if there is any offer on the MS store, right now thanks to game pass the game is 24€ for me, instead of 30€. Remember that is a EA game, it could rise the price in the future, and 30€ at least here is not that much, taking in to account that full released games are 50-60€.

Personal suggestion (paper plate)
MrSeriouscat replied to SgtMassacre's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
Woa, that castle and the plate just inside. Well I dont know but being that big, I think anyone will tell you that you should have planed that in advance... Because I dont see Obsidian deleting one part of the enviroiment just for one castle . And in case they end doing that, that could screw the construction probably, or maybe not. Try reworking the castle with the plate in mind, maybe make the castle surrounding the plate and use it as a fighting arena, or buy it above, in the end most castles are not symmetric. With all that stone I bet you had a lot of hours of work there. Other option for the future would be, waiting if Obs adds some setting to change your save game to creative (idk if that is possible rn) and then rebuild it, but again, having the plate in mind before the construction, like any architect will do. -
Well, as ScritchOwl said, I love those games as well where you fight big bosses, but if its not possible because of the engine capabilities I was thinking. Why not a new landmark where you can find a dead snake or small reptile (well small for us, not for the characters of the game xD) where you enter inside the creature, yeah I know the creature is dead, but could be a nice excuse to add worms XD... and new resources, if earthworms are too big, maggots could fit the suggestion. I obviously said snake because other user suggested them... And I thought that a lethargic snake to explore from inside and replicate the SpaceWorm scene from Star wars could be cool haha

While I agree with you I feel that is not that necessary, the game has autosaving, and if Im not wrong it can be configured to save every X time. Only complain about the system is the little lagspike I feel when the game does the autosaving. But as always, more options are always welcome.

Weapon upgrades
MrSeriouscat replied to MrSeriouscat's topic in Grounded: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Yeah, you have increased durability as well, but as far as I know with elemental upgrades the durability is 70% max and with mighty 80%, maybe not that much difference. I wouldnt mind to have various weapons with different upgrades to fight different enemies, but with the actual state of the inventory XD... And Im trying to upgrade my stacks with milk molars but I dont want to see on internet guides to know where the gold ones are... Want to find them by myself. Thats why I was suggesting inventory ideas on my other post XD everything to give us space is nice
