  1. Actually, the overland map works and looks exactly like Ultima 1/2/3. In that, the game has a huge overland map in which you explore, find items, fight monstars. And when you are on say a City tile, you hit a key and then the city area loads up.
  2. Trailer here: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/37138.html You can finally see the overland map (After a few minutes). S E X Y!
  3. I suppose a little of both with a liberal dash of self pity at my ignorance of that versions mechanics. heh you are not alone dude. Like, just last week.... I learned that Divine Spellcasters (Cleric/Druid/Spirit Shaman) do NO have Arcane Spell failure when wearing armor or shields. I never knew this. I feel really dumb. :/
  4. So... you are dislike that characters are too epic? Or that 1 wrong feat choice and you are a gimp? Honestly, even if you make a Epic or Gimp character, it ultimately makes no difference really in NWN2. I CAN understand the confusion on coming from 2nd ed to 3.5 (I did as well). Though, IWD II was the game that finally got me educated in the ways of 3rd ED. So learning 3.5 in NWN2 was easier to me. And I think every character I have played so far in NWN2 has been a gimp, as I'm still not too sure how to make a EPIC character. I just choose what feats I like.
  5. You haven't played Mask of the Betrayer? I tried telling him to, but he won't listen, Maybe you will have better luck So... Gfted1 has no interest in what one could (arguably) call one of the best RPG experiences in the past 5 years? Granted, some people don't like NWN2 combat, but that aside Mask of the Betrayer is a masterpiece.
  6. You haven't played Mask of the Betrayer?
  7. More awesome screenshots: http://www.bbnwn.eu//phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=12191
  8. (From Lestat on the codex) First I loled. Then I cried.
  9. Ugh I read this article earlier.... Final Fantasy????
  10. I can understand why battle.net is free. There is very little cost to Blizzard for it, except for the server costs. I am still a bit amazed Guild Wars is still around. I fully expected it to fail by now.
  11. Well... wait a couple of years and they will finally adopt the same model all MMOG's do. The game finally become free to d/l... then all you have to pay is the 20$ a month. Until they announce an expansion...
  12. Well, so far, no one has presented any logical reason why it would make sense for KotoR 3 to not be developed. Call it a hunch, but kind of along the same line in that we will NOT see a WOW RTS (Say Warcraft 4) game for probably a LONG time from now. Or hopefully I am wrong. I hope so. I love my KotOR. ;_;
  13. As long as LA doesn't abandon a KotOR III, I wont then have to gather an angry horde and yell "rabble rabble" outside their offices.
  14. That is actually pretty good for a MMOG. And with a XBox port... only more subscribers. I wasn't aware it was doing that good. Good for them. You are correct sir.
  15. It will have to take an incredibly innovative game design to topple WOW's current throne (Which, while I love Bio... they are not capable of). That said, no one ever though ANYONE would topple EQ and Lineage. And then along came WOW.
  16. It all of course depends on how much the developer sent on making the MMOG. I used to know the typical number a simple MMOG would cost... but I am drawing a blank. Here's some info (While not 100% accurate, it is quite extensive) on subscriber numbers. If any are interested. http://www.mmogchart.com/Chart1.html
  17. Actually, the gigantic release of Funcom's Age of Conan makes it clear that the upper limit for MMO subscribers is really unknown. Plus, MMO's do taper off over time, and those players tend to look for greener pastures. WoW is king right now, but this KotOR Online is probably still years away from release, and who knows what the market will be by then? You have quite a few MMO's going strong right now, and by strong I mean over 100k subscribers: WoW (of course) LotR Online EQ2 AoC (impressive start, not sure on lifespan) EVE FFXI Lineage 2 I'm probably forgetting a few, and there are some that manage to cling on to enough people to stay in business: The original EQ, Asheron's Call, Ultima Online, D&D Online, Vanguard, SW: Galaxies (I think this one is ending)... Source please.
  18. 15. You can find 20 "Bobble Head's" in the game that increase your character stats. WAT?

  20. This sounds really really good. Interest +1.
  21. Here is the gameplay footage from Gamespot: http://www.gamespot.com/video/920668/6194364/videoplayerpop? Bioware themselves are working on a higher quality version, that will be available later today (possibly). http://dragonage.bioware.com/forums/viewto...7&forum=135
  22. Which is fair enough. But that's the thing isn't it? Are those masses of American reviewers dishonest in their uncontrolled enthusiasm for their game, or is the problem that they really are that enthusiastic and positive? When Adam Sessler (that's his name right) makes an orgasmic cry every time Todd shoots someone with Bloody Mess - maybe he's actually excited? Maybe he really could play that for a hundred hours? I don't really find that a far-fetched suggestion. I think many such journalists really did think Oblivion was a fantastic and sophisticated role-playing experience (albeit with flaws), and don't shudder upon hearing 'Oblivion with Guns'. Ever read this: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...7070201743.html
  23. 14. the glowing ones aren't only capable of healing other ghouls but also of shooting shockwaves of radioactivity. WAT?
  24. More DA goodies, courtesy of DGaider: I like this.
