  1. Okay, something that amused me - According to the Director's commentary on Ferris Bueller's Day Out.. the character of Ferris Bueller is a sociopath.
  2. I'm still pushing along. Although Belsavis is a bit of a drag to push through with my Smuggler. I like the concept, but something about that planet doesn't really click right for me.
  3. Dr.Who as 16-bit rpg game.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gML41Vb9I1Y
  4. I tended to favour using Carnage as the extra power. Just for that oomph of Armour takedown that it's useful with...
  5. Count the ammo power as another one? You flick incendiary on and forget about it
  6. "Everybody talks about leaving a better planet for the children.... Why does nobody think about leaving better children for the planet?"
  7. I don't believe so. But then they're all limited to two weapons, so it doesn't really come into play....
  8. Heh, I saw a similar proposal to bring back "Dueling" - The thought process being, that in the day and age where everybody could carry a weapon, and it was possible to engage someone else in a duel, people learnt to be much more polite with each other rather then accidentally insult folks in the street...
  9. There's a dozen movies using the names of Greek myths and stories. The content is pretty darn negligible of the actual myth/story..

  16. It adds an interest that several Chinese companies were involved in some of the UK internet backbone development. Although supposedly the Government did run a lot of watchers on them to make sure they didn't put any backdoors for the Chinese government.. Paranoia makes you wonder if they were specifically keeping an eye out for developing their own versions..
  17. Hm, whilst I'm still having some game burn out feelings.. I'm tempted to pick up a couple.. Syndicate, Kingdoms of Amalur, AC:Revelations.. they're all down to around
  18. BBC News - Email and Web Traffic to be Monitored under new laws Yahoo News - Monitoring Expansion Proposed Oh the joys and balance of security versus freedom....
  19. Birthday salutations then. Really didn't feel like getting out of bed today.. But the sun is shining, it seems summer is breaking out here.., The dogs are being all needy and playful. Couldn't even finish my first cup of tea in peace. Updated my antivirus software, told it to do a "quick scan" and then it spent 20 minutes doing that.. and my system pretty much slowed down to the pace of a dead cow with broken ankles for the entire duration. If I'm not careful, I'm going to turn into a "grumpy old man" a few decades early..
  20. Hm, I have to say play style, story and atmosphere are pretty different between the Sith Inquisitor, Smuggler, Jedi Knight and Bounty Hunter..
  21. I'm cheerfully plugging away with a few characters. Although the last week has seen me take a certain absence from games in general, but I'm still enjoying ToR when I'm in a gaming mood.
  22. Ah, but in ME3, does the strictly Paragon/Renegade actually count, or is it more based on the Reputation? They have that whole weird mixture of how Reputation is a third number which mysteriously stretches your Paragon/Renegade numbers out....
  23. An interesting look at the reasons behind John Carter's marketing campaign.. The Inside Story - How John Carter was doomed by its First Trailer
