The one thing that does strike me with the coming US election.. The potential first female President isn't going to elected for her merits as a President, for the belief that she's a good candidate, or really for the principles for which she stands. She's going to get elected because she's seen as a "lesser evil" and because of her opponent, not because of the things she stands for. That's not a great historical mark to have for breaking that "barrier".

And I'm saying that because I know a whole bunch of people who have pretty much said "Hilary is corrupt, she's a lesser evil, and I couldn't vote in any other way that stopped Donald Trump having nuclear weapons... so I have to vote for Hilary."
