  1. Hm. Okay, here's a question for those Stateside.. Montana wildfires? I seem to be seeing a batch of social media folks doing the "Why are the Montana Wildfires not being reported in the mainstream news? Just by people on FB who happen to live in Montana?" Although NBC Montana has this on their website but...
  2. "This Scotsman moves to the United States. He goes to his first baseball game but doesn’t understand it. When a runner hits a ground ball, he watches the crowd yelling for the player to run. When the next player does the same thing, he joins in. Then the next guy gets up to bat and the pitcher throws three balls and a strike. The last pitch is a ball and the batter drops his bat and starts to walk to first base. The Scotsman, completely confused, jumps up and yells ‘What are ya doing? Run it out, laddie!’ A guy in the stands explains it to him: ‘He doesn’t have to run; he’s got four balls.’ So the bewildered Scotsman yells out, ‘Walk with pride, lad, walk with pride.”

  7. Pirates of the Caribbean : Dead Men Tell No Tales / Salazar's Revenge (depending on which title you want to use). All pirates are now idiots with no real abilities or skills who purely get by on random events. Jack Sparrow is a drunken idiot who does not have quick wits, just occasional flashes of not being a moronic pirate. All British naval officers are monomaniacal tyrants lusting after power and with no redeeming qualities. Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley have basically 5 minute cameos. It still manages to be a mostly entertaining film, it opens fairly strongly with a bit of setting up the story, followed by an exceptionally silly bank robbery set to familiar music, and then it roams along in a generally engaging popcorn manner. It still doesn't quite have the touch of magic that the first PotC had, but tis a better attempt than Stranger Tides. It has a general running joke between the two main protagonists, one of whom has studied all the myths, legends and curses of the sea and the other being the intelligent woman with a scientific background who keeps being accused of being a witch despire rejecting all non-scientific thoughts of magic, curses, or the undead.
