  1. Nevermind I figured it out, for some reason I had to watch the credits/end news report thing for it to unlock veteran for me.
  2. Like the title, when I beat the game on Recruit, (twice now actually, although I am having a blast) when the end goes back to the main screen, when I select a new game, Veteran is still blocked out.
  3. For an American in Germany, its locked for me til the American release date.
  4. Actually though those types of sights together is kinda odd, its common to have two different styles of sights mounted on a battle rifle. When I was in Afganistan, during the night we would mount night vision scopes and aimpoints together.
  5. Hacking minigame. You have 60 seconds to get the install playing, but if you fail armed guards burst through your windows and attack you. You might just want to wait for the unlock... Should have released it worldwide...more so over digital distribution systems.
  6. there seriously need to be a help, FAQ's, etc adding to the forums...
  7. And it just got knocked off the list...damn cheap Half Life games...
  8. Ahhh currently as of typing this, AP is 3rd on the Steam topseller list.
  9. Well, yes. Thank you. If you can deliver them before my coffebreak I will have in about 2 hours time, that would be just great. At least you take it as a poke of fun nothing serious...
  10. Someone needs a nap, a blankie, and a bottle.
  11. Jagged Alliance 2 could be beat in about 20minutes....
  12. Thanks Itkovian, makes me glad I dont watch too many "making of, sneak preview, etc type" trailers. Last game I did was FarCry 2 and once I got the game I cried long tears of disappointment.
  13. Yachemenev stated in a previous post, that if he bought AP new as a PS3 copy it would show him as supporting console over PC games. It confuses myself as well, but alas he must be a Taurus. Wouldnt buying a used PS3 copy do the same? The way I figure yeah, more so now since some places like Gamestop keep track of used game sales.

  15. Yeah, the voiceover is awful. What a boring voice. But gives a pretty good look at stealthing. I'm still not sure whether I'll go for the Field Agent background or customize it myself using Freelancer (where my Martial Arts points will go into the skill that affects hacking and that stuff). Freelancer is where I am heading, even if it ends up mirroring the other presets, personally I just like having as much control as possible on my character.
  16. You mean the blondie? Madison St. James. I missed something along me following AP...Did your AP wiki link have "She is a possible romance option" in her discription? My Mike Thorton will have herpes by the time the game ends.... Edit: Wow...that "Lover Not a Fighter" trailer/music video is kinda creepy.
  17. No friggin doubt. Though to be honest there are some serious tough guy tatics in some DRM's (Silent Hunter 5, etc). I just pretty much summed this whole topic up to a stick in the mud. And I will just have to have fun with my Steam provided Alpha Protocol. While other parties of the topic play it on thier PS3. Last time I will mention it though...Steam itself is not DRM. I can move a Steam provided game from the Common folder into a folder of its own, put it on my external HD and play it on my wife's computer. Just like Gamersgate. Of course though that only counts for some of the Steam provided games (before anyone bends my words) BTW: 94 Steam purchased games. 24: Gamersgate games, 5 D2D games. Have fun.
  18. You can run most Steam games in Offline mode. So you don't have to be online to play every game. I run alot of my games in offline mode. Also you can make a new shortcut to some games on your desktop and run it without even touching steam. Or just go to your common folder in steam and run the program from there. If a game needs steam to operate, MW2, N:TW, etc. Then of course you need to launch steam. So if you consider Steam DRM, your sadly mistaken. I agre with Morgoth, Raithe that Steam is just a delivery program. Yachemenev, if you have alot of Steam bought games installed try running Steam offline and see what you can play with it in that mode, as well try making some shortcuts or running said games with Steam shut down. You might be surprised.
  19. Steam lets you pre-load the game? I was waiting the day of release to order it. If it lets you preload I might as well go ahead and get it now.
  20. If anything Fallout 3 made me miss how Fallout 1 and 2 were. I don't mind FO3 but as a fallout title I didn't like it.
  21. Well at least I did a short tour in Afganistan and it still hasnt came out! LOL I guess I am lucky But from what I read alot of reviews dont seem to know what they are reviewing. Like most games now a days.
  22. Well I feel I won't have it in my hands before my trip to the little box of Asia, Afganistan, gotta find something else to soak up some of my time there. With me not too many thing capture my eye as far as games. Oh well it will probably (hopefully) be out by the time I redeploy. Ahh now just waiting for my deploy date...watch it will get pushed back..HA HA HA..ha..crap i know it won't.... Probably end up playing Jagged Alliance 2 and its mods to kill time...can't go new, go old to something that is known to be good
  23. Hide it in twitter that its been delayed til whenever....LOL
