  1. Considering hearing their bullcrap makes me want to die, i'm cool with not living through it. Better than being and oldbag being carted around hospitals for exams and treatment, when the only thing left for me to do in life is die. In all seriousness though, if WW3 broke out we would be ****ed if those are the quality of people that we get.
  2. The more I hear about younger people the more I yearn for WW3...and I don't want to hear any ****ing complaints, like it is too extreme! Look deep inside yourself and ask this: Do I really want a future where these people rule? WW3; cull these ****.
  3. Hang in there, is these little hassles that give modern life meaning. Future generations will look back to us with incredulous shock at how we use to live, your trials will not be in vain.
  4. Hey! If I as a Hispanic male choose to go to a Klan rally and declare my hispanicness, then the government has to guarantee my safety...that's how free speech works, right? I'm beginning to see why the follow up to free speech was getting a gun.
  5. I know that its against the forum's policy but I'd like to remind everyone that there are free alternatives to streaming services. Yarr!
  6. I will wait to see what kind of content they produce. I'm not going to subscribe to if it will be a backlog of Disney movies and cartoons (will probably censor/exclude the racist ones) or their Disney Channel TV shows. Plus, I still doubt that they have enough mature content to reach older demographics and they're having to start from scratch. The only thing they can do is hold their brands hostage and force people to use their service.
  7. If only; those blood buses make a pretty penny selling other people's blood....I just thought of a way to make a living out of being a serial killer, and when you include the price of organs you could make a killing; literally.
  8. Please, where do you think you are? We love us some Susumu Hirasawa around these parts
  9. It is both inspirational and practical as those severed hands will help nourish the survivors until they're found.
  10. Not Disney+ due to the age restriction. Maybe Hulu now that Disney owns most of it via the Fox purchase, but in any case the Marvel-Netflix contract was running out in 2019 and there's no way it would be renewed. Actually, that does bring up the question of how Disney is going to tackle (or if) their more mature properties on their streaming service. This whole thing has great potential to become a dumpster fire, specially when fans of the shows get riled.
  11. You innocent fool, just wait until the forststorms get you. Serious piece of advice, don't try to research everything on the research tree. Focus on the essentials, construction, resources and food, you only need one technology for each. Heating is vital, specially once the temperature starts to drop. Good Luck and **** the Londoners.
  12. Do you remember a time when difficulty was geared towards entertainment instead of profit? No; good, because it didn't exist. Since the times of Arcades difficulty was a way to get more money out of you. Rather than them focusing on a single element I would like that they address the main issue and that is that games now are a lot of fluff and no real content. The solution is someone designing an actual pleasant experience, instead of representatives of the board making sure that you hit all the checkmarks on elements they believe will make a game good/profitable. At this point I don't who to blame; the developer or the publisher, it seems like they're melding into this hideous amorphous corporate entity.
  13. I would understand if it was a third party license, but is there any reason why engines are not open source? It doesn't seem like a developer team whose engine isn't selling would keep it to themselves, specially when the result is a vibrant modding scene that will expand the longevity of the games and give them data on player behavior. Maybe the problem with Fallout 76 is that they didn't opened to the modder community; with that amount of user generated content and Bethesda moderating it, they could have had a better release. Although I do have an issue with moderation as it enforces values; I generally like to have a wider selection rather than a sanitized one.
  14. Oh don't mind the shrieks and squeals coming from the dressing room afterward. It saves them a bikini wax.
  15. I never considered that, it might also explain why UE4 implemented C++ and abandoned their UScript. It seems like what you propose would be feasible, I recall Rage having vast levels. It didn't have the landscape of a main Bethesda map but I don't see how they couldn't just adapt it to suit their needs. I would also imagine that having to retrain the team on a new engine factors into this and it might turn away their money cow (AKA modders)
  16. I'm not a programmer; although I do know how to script, maybe you can explain some of the bugs in detail. I just ask because there is one in particular that seems has more to do with laziness than actual engine limitations. The bug had to do with the game having the wrong address for the NVIDIA folder and having to jump back to their root folder to look for the file; I recall this as it caused an issue in F:NV where there would be screen tearing any time you moved the camera. I recall reading that Bethesda had NVIDIA fix it on their driver for each of their games, as F:NV was developed by Obsidian the bug was present. I just ask because it seem like Bethesda gets away with doing the bare minimum on each new game and just poaches from modders.
  17. I'm playing Yakuza 0, luckily and coincidentally I had seen The Princes of Yen documentary about how the Japanese Central Bank came to be what it is today recently. Having the background information on how the Central Bank crashed the Japanese economy in order to institute reform (become independent from the Government) and open the Yen to foreign markets, really brings another layer to the game.
  18. It is the same engine, but every game Todd It Just Works Howard states they have a "brand new never seen before" engine. It was funny to see respected games journalist Jason "Shrieker" trying to explain what a game engine is and how it was semantically a different engine, whilst completely obfuscating the point that the engine has carried the same bugs into 5 or 6 different games now. But don't worry; mods will fix it.
  19. The animation looks fine, I vividly recall the book since it was one of my first books ever and something tells me that there is a politically correct subtext to this adaptation. I guess they can't help themselves.
  20. Nope, I like vapid and easy girls and we are talking about buying price here not just content. I don't care if my analogy doesn't work for anyone but me.
  21. I agree with you on the risk free stuff (although thankfully we've had a real renaissance of indie developers.) But I think you're minimizing the importance of the visual element, given that gaming is by and large a visual medium. I also think you are dismissing the quality of modern game engines, sound, and general stability. There is a lot more going on with the jump from this: To this: I like to compare games to women; you could have some high maintenance pretty ones that don't know how to please you, or you can go for the homely, interesting girl that will at least try. It really is your choice and I'm getting to that age where I know I can't save people from their own stupidity.
