I almost missed this one being released and thought it's worthy of a thread, I really like the style going on here.

Always believe in your soul, you've got the power to know, you're indestructible?

I can see an armed populace being a deterrent to a potential fascist but ultimately the global ruling class won that arms race a long time ago, when are gun shops going to start stocking apache helicopters and stealth bombers?..though that would indeed be cool

The Last Express is available on GOG now. It's six bucks and better than the last three games you paid 60 bucks for combined. Go get it you clods!
I've been meaning to play this one for years, still, it'll have to wait a bit longer, sooo many games to play these days.

It's likely only the final boss will be a huge dragon, identical to Akatosh from the end of Oblivion's main quest. The main quest in Skyrim could consist of becoming powerful enough to defeat it by gathering the necessary shouts.
I expect something similar, I'm curious about the Akatosh/Alduin connection though, the idea that maybe he wasn't helping Tamriel as much as himself at the end of the MQ in Oblivion.

I completed the Morrowind main quest so I thought I'd share some celebratory screenshots, I think they hold up surprisingly well to the latest Skyrim shots.
Vivec is so f***ing huge.
Grassy Solstheim.
Be veeeewwy quiet.
Epic forest.
Ghostfence no more.
Foggy Foyada Mamaea.
Daedric ruins in the distance.

If dragons can talk (previous lore says that they can) I want them to sound like Bryaugh
On the other hand the dragons won't necessarily be evil, Alduin is just doing his job.

The new skill 'webs' actually look good and I'm not so bothered about the spammy dungeons, with the faster combat it should feel less of a hellish, godawfull chore, I want to see the PC user interface in action.
*edit*
From the Eurogamer preview
"Beyond the visuals and the combat, BioWare's preparing a refined experience for things like DLC. Having learned from the first game, the developer is promising optional updates will provide longer adventures and will be easier to locate in the world once you've bought them."
Easier to locate? Easier than a sandwich board wearing moron sitting my camp for the whole game?

I think I'm satisfied that the graphics are going to be typical Bethesda, excellent for the time but with a few rough edges, I want to see these scenes in motion...

*optimism mode re-engaged*

The forest scene with the waterfall looks the worst to me, no shadows or reflections and there's horrible low res textures all over the place, the rest look nice though, barring a few pixellated shaders and a couple of low poly objects.
I do get a heavy Gamebryo vibe though, my biggest worry is that the game is going to be crash happy

*sidenote*
Michael Kirkbride has been going lore mad on the Elder Scrolls lore forum recently, check out some of those names!.
I really hope some of his insanity makes it into the final game, this is the guy who wrote Vivec.

I might as well apologise to Lenin's corpse.
LMFAO!!!
Oh you should send the letter, I can't even bring myself to write mine, its so damn futile.
I sent my letter a few months ago to a girl I'd known for six years, that was pretty much the last I heard from her...I didn't even mention my passionate desire to rape her dead mouth
Joking aside, It's torn me apart, but you grit your teeth and get on with life, I miss her all the time but as Wals said, Lenin's corpse is a more likely candidate for worthwhile communication.
The worst part about love is how weak it makes you once the barriers are down, I'm a pretty resilient guy but certain women appear to have the ability to turn me into a giant, shambolic p*ssy.

Eh, big freaking deal.
Aye, as I recall DA let you **** pigs and chickens, still, I'm not pre-ordering this time, I've lost quite a bit of faith after hearing about all the Mass Effect-ification going on.

I listened to an interview with this guy a few years ago, Peter Joseph I think is his name, the host (Alex Jones) asked what would happen if this new society encountered a person from outside it's influence, the reply was that they would need re-education, Peter Joseph had a strange insistence on refusing to acknowledge a distinction between good and evil as the concept is inherited from judeo-christian values, which have no place in a modern society.
It seems vaguely disturbing to me, there's always someone who thinks they're smarter than you, capable of thinking on a higher level and that because of this they deserve to dictate how you should live, I'm prone to thinking that a 'scientific society' would eventually end up as a dictatorship...maybe I've seen too much sci-fi.
I recall the first two videos making some good points, a financial system where the people in control can simply create money with no real world backing is cause for grave concern, our money supply is controlled by groups of people who *gasp* conspire together to retain control of physical wealth using the accepted power of imaginary wealth.
I'll give this third video a watch and see what I think.

I demand the option to fart during the scene

Being haunted by disembodied heads.
I had a similar thing happen in my game, perfectly formed pre-gib eyes, brain and spine bits hanging in mid air as if they were sitting inside someones head

I guess I'll have to get Dead Money the day it comes out and maybe start a completely new game of FNV. Damn you guys, damn you, like I have the time
If I wasn't balls deep in Morrowind right now I'd be joining you, I'll hang on though, wait and see what the other DLC brings.

I think his thumbs up was related to the simultaneous release on all platforms.
It absotively was.

"In addition, Bethesda confirmed plans to release a further three DLC packs in the coming months. These packs will launch simultaneously on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Further details are promised soon."

One game that let me down in recent years was Bioshock, I did love the plot but the hype machine hinted at all kinds of brilliant things like an open world, sidequests and a virtual ecosystem, what we got was a semi-rails shooter.
I felt Dragon Age lived up to the hype quite well, for a modern game it's got a crazy amount of branching and hard to find content but I felt the world itself was shallow, they harped on and on about how unique it all was and for a while I was intrigued, details they released on the official codex made the world sound pretty interesting, lots of potential for twisted situations and grimdarkness.
In reality they didn't build on any of it, I basically knew the entire backstory and most of the plot just from watching and reading previews, most of the codex updates I got in the game were already available in some form online and at times I felt like I was just going through the motions.
Todd seemed to be pretty upfront about their limitations in the podcast, I'm more inclined to accept what he's saying than the things we've been reading in previews (especially translated ones), especially this idea of towns being tied to a local industry, apparently "burning down" the mine will devastate the local economy, I'd bet good money this will boil down to you killing the miners, getting a barter penalty and some nasty remarks from npc's.
Epic.

Project Nevada is on my list of mods to install when I finally play New Vegas again, still got a couple of endings to see, I'm going to wait until all the DLC is released though.

I may have to bite the bullet and buy it on PSN but I don't really like playing puzzley games on consoles.
Ooo, stuff to waste money on.
Bah, these were actually made in russia, sold out already...damn.
