  1. Trunk or use a trenching tool instead. This was more directed at the people claiming it's necessary to use a snowblower to get a little bit of drift snow from behind your car. If you have a snowblower, put the shovel in its place and sell it.
  2. I was talking about the character creator. Could've made it clearer, but didn't think it was necessary in the context.
  3. I had never thought about it this way, but clearly car manufacturers have been ripping me off for years by having multiple options of the same car. Definitely expect to have the most expensive engine option included in the future, as well as leather seats.
  4. As it did the last time around.
  5. That kind of assumes that the termination of the original relationship was at least a mutual decision, and not a case of you living the best time of your life and the other part just deciding that somebody else fits their image of a perfect mate a bit better. Also what Hell Kitty said. A successful relationship is one that teaches you something. An unsuccessful one doesn't.
  6. I think DAO (and Hot Pursuit - and baldur's gate 2) did the "bonus" gear stuff quite well - the "bonus" stuff isn't something that gives you ultra-powerful gear at the start of the game, but instead gives you an option among different higher-tier items/cars at a later date in the game (DAO had preorder stuff of the other variety, as well, though...). This I actually like, the Mass Effect 2/Fallout NV etc. approach a lot less (though, TBH, the only REALLY good preorder item for ME2 was the Blackstorm Projector, and it wasn't exactly overpowered, certainly not longer than for the first recruitment mission or two.)
  7. You guys ever heard of shovels? That's what we use here...
  8. I'm curious as to what he's hinting at (has he actually played it or is he simply skeptical?), but it could mean anything as it stands. Maybe EA hasn't been buying enough ad space?
  9. No, it's more like you're reminding me how well things are here. While I have major angst over research and future employment issues, I'm still pretty secure in having a roof over the top of my head...
  10. Similar. Baked some Rocky Roads muffins to take to work with me. I'm sure my decision had nothing to do with the fact the ex is lecturing today and I thought it might cheer her up. I'm such a ****.
  11. Looks like the same type of visor ME1 Alliance Marines had.
  12. IIRC, it's not just the wake up, I think there was also something about less clothes making the whole heat transfer from you to the bag back to you a lot more efficient than what goes on with wearing everything you own. just a heads up, the Touch is absolutely horrendous to use in crowded places. Yeah, I can imagine. It's just a 30 minute commute twice a day, so I could generally just set it up before I stuff myself in at a bad hour, if it came to that. Still, necessary so I'm not totally berserk when I get to the office. Happily, when I got home and did a factory reset with itunes, it seems to have sorted the issues for now. Let's hope this lasts for a couple of months more...
  13. What were the other things? Even this sounds like a pretty extreme scenario. I mean, I certainly have to recharge my battery after every few hours of gaming, and I don't think I've been in a place that has electricity but no option for accessing the internet in, well, this millennium. Not that I have a laptop that comes even close to DA2s minspec. Congratulations to you for having one, though.
  14. All Bio games have 'sunset' plans
  15. I've never seen anyone claim that (Iran hasn't been up to its neck in the current Iraq situation). In fact, I'd say that it was another one of those "0 surprise" things from wikileaks, which is why it hasn't lead to commentary.
  16. I'd wager it's because it's Bioware.
  17. If that came from anyone else but a Swede, it would be funny. Now it's just tragically ironic.
  18. 5-6 year old ipod classic seems to have finally croaked today, controls went completely unresponsive. They've been not working too well for a month or so, but something in the occasional nature of this issue has me thinking that it might be a software issue rather than old age just catching up. I'll try a full reset later today to see if it works out, but... If I don't get it fixed, I'm totally boned. I need it to separate me from the idiots/addicts/crying babies that I need to commute with daily, and there's no way I can cough up for a 64gb touch for a couple of months (and yeah, I know I could get a new classic for a lot less, but I've had my eye on the touch for a while, and I really hoped this would have lasted me those few more months...)
  19. You'll be glad to know that DA2 DRM also comes with limited activations, free of charge. Well, with your miserable internet access there, I'm sure that you couldn't even install & patch the final product on the five machines you could do it on every day.
  20. Looks like it didn't come out today.
  21. Meh. Seems like a fair trade for the lack of disc check/multiple installs. If it works, unlike the digital EA store drm.
  22. Meh. Kind of regretting I went with PC for this one. Well, at least it's cheaper than the console version. (By 15e in this case, since I used the right store)
  23. Well, they did the character creator for DAO PC last time, and found a ME2 demo worthwhile. Considering the opening of the game has been touring the world for months, they might just as well put that out as a demo...
