I have this game and it's still awesome. It's still installed and Precinct Assault is still a must at least once month. It's quite difficult to win once Sky captain is level 5 and up. The only thing missing is windowed mode :D edit: although it has one it doesn't work properly. Maybe i should play this on asus eee. There i wouldn't need it.

Might be just my playing style so far ( ie not using the given abilites to the fullest or neglecting the power of some talents - like Threaten or Taunt) and i'm not that far into the game yet ( level 7 )

Shouldn't have. It affecty only daggers and ranged weapons. If anything it makes the game more difficult since enemies benefit from it as well. if you haven't tried it yet. http://dragonage.gulbsoft.org/doku.php/hot...rity_hotfix_101

The fun thing is, some items have even more than 5 attributes but it can only show 5 even with smaller text.

I'm playing Rogue with that hotfix and he seems to be surviving much easier than my fighters, even in direct combat. Dual daggers, with DLC Edge and some crap in other hand. And bioware social has some uses as well.

Hahaha i thought i was hearing voices when playing Dragon age. Claudia Black was no surprise but Alistair sounded so familiar and lol he's Harry Flynn from Uncharted 2. I hope they're not both in the next game i'll play. I might get tired of their banter. xD

If you don't like DLC then you can just buy the whole game as a DLC. :D I got tired of waiting for Game.co.uk and just downloaded everything for just 25,9 pounds (Europe and Canada only). If that's not a great deal nothing is. And yes no box, no map but everything else is there.

No no, i started y with all four and i've leveled them to at least lvl 5 to see their special ability but then i played soldier the most and decided i'll finish it with him ,then play on with others. But like i said. I got bored. I won't uninstall the game though so i might go play on with others some day. They're all fun to play but the world doesn't offer anything new.

I guess about 18 to 20 hours and even that because in the end i played around with savegame editor and tested a few guns. like a Dove repeater pistol ( which means unlimited ammo) with x4 volcano modifier and a scope that makes you empty and entire clip when zoomed. So unlimited ammo plus full mag burst ( it's 100 bullets in this case, then it stops and you have to press fire button again) = carnage maximum.

Bah Sniper rifles never get good scopes, so a great revolver ( they get the best scopes) is far more useful. Even as a soldier i had 3 revolvers as my main weapons xD 1 with 4x acid, 1 masher ( probably best type of weapon in game, high enough accuracy, highest damage with it's x7 modifier and a decent enough ROF with 1,9 ) and 1 desert justice with underbarrel blade for added melee damage. I finished today and i can't find anything enjoyable in the game anymore. Finished all the the main and side quests and had a blast for a while but it just got tedious towards the end. Not even duels were fun anymore.

Why don't you play windowed then? No need for alt-tabbing.

That review is bad. Good to see he tried to point out bad things but it also looks like he expected a Bethesda game ( like someone pointed out in the comments below it) and didn't get it.

Hmm what to play first. I think i'll go with human rogue and if that won't work, i'll either start over with a warrior or just summon some magic equipment.

QFT. I never quite found out why they don't make demos or put them out a month or more after game release. It's like they want people to try warez and then hope they'll buy it.
