Well, I don't know if Force Armor is bugged, but at least both of the earlier ones (Shield, Aura) work like they're supposed to. You guys got the XBox version of the game? This might be a bug that was fixed for PC.

Whoa... Took a look at the dialogue files - seems Obsid has a lot more things planned for the NPCs than there is in the game. For example, not only did they intend for them to be turned to jedis, you were supposed to be able to teach them new force forms and fighting techniques. Oh, and there was supposed to be cutscenes for jedi training, too... Wink, wink. edit: By the way, is there any combat training with Visas in TSL? There seem to be some references to that in kreia.dlg.

Buy an ATI Radeon 9600. That's about the best video card your PC can handle. On a sidenote, GeForce Ti4200s are surprisingly expensive.

In KotOR1 most people didn't seem to know what gender Revan was - why should they in KotOR2 (unless you're talking about people who really, really should know)? edit: + I don't think they'll be rerecording some of the dialogue just for that.
