  1. No it wasn't. Neither KOTOR nor JE had an unending stream of fighting. It was always interspersed with other types of content. I would say DA bad guys are nowhere near as charismatic as Nihilus.
  2. The writing in DAO was far superior to ME for the most part. Unfortunately the same tired old plot that was beaten to death in NWN2 was trotted out again. The rest of DAO design unfortunately hews too closely to Bio's new paradigm of fight, fight, fight, talk a little, then fight some more. Overall DAO was a bit better than ME, but that's only a small step above mediocrity.
  3. I know the dialog will be bad, but I'm hoping for laughably bad for that extra dose of entertainment.
  4. Both are horrible (the animations), but nothing beats Drakensang, well nothing I know of.
  5. I think it will have better combat.
  6. But what's with the epileptic convo animations? Is that just a German thing?
  7. Fixed and QFT. You're suffering from amnesia. I distinctly recall male posters on the DA boards linking to pictures of Morrigan and speculating how her big lips might improve certain acts of physical intimacy. Not to mention creative uses for her shapechanging ability. Note that in your original quote you said man, not male.
  8. Canada doesn't have the same social problems US has. Compare yourself to Minnesota. US does not have a culture of fear. There should be fear of going to certain areas, but that's based on fact, not culture.
  9. JE wasn't crappy, just not fully realized. It was really 1/2 game. They had a world map, but only one other city to travel to, heh.
  10. We don't count people who are born here as immigrants.
  11. Mafia isn't mostly immigrants so far as I know, though that might have been the case a century ago. Granted there are organizations like the Russian mafia, which are immigrants.
  12. Actually the only way I might not be disappointed is if I expect a shooter. I'm sure it'll be terrible as an RPG.
  13. Actually legal immigrants from anywhere do very well here. And most illegal ones too.
  14. I don't know, how many illegal alien street gangs do you have in Sweden?
  15. Who cares about the story in a shooter?
  16. It's going to be a radical departure for Bioware. You will now have a choice of 2 entirely different buildings!
  17. I was talking about homicides, the total is mostly suicides. With more people having guns, obviously suicide by gun would be higher, doesn't say anything about the total number of suicides though.
  18. Depends on the culture. Mexico, where guns are completely illegal, has double the gun homicide rate than US. Switzerland and Israel, where everyone has an assault rifle, has similar homicide rates to the rest of Europe.
  19. Generally a fairly balanced build between offense/defense is the best, as has been said. For a dodge build, it helps to put a little more into dodge than into the weapon, until close to the end, when you can pretty much dump everything into dodge. Also don't forget you can increase you skills during combat, when you kill someone you immediately get skill points for them, and also you get bonus points for reaching ranks after you talk to the arena master. I always save before I allocate my points, so that if I have trouble in one area or the other during the battle I go back to the save and re-allocate. I've had a pretty easy time with dodge/hammer, except the Ordu, but they're also easy using the right strategy. in the new (R2) build. Yesterday I almost beat them, but I screwed up with the spearman. I think I might have figured out how to do it, I'll try again tonight. Edit: It's also crucial to remember to loot the equipment off the fallen bodies.
  20. The Ordu fight isn't bad with hammer/dodge if you use a light hammer and chase the archer first and do as many fast attacks as you can, since he's hard to hit but not well protected otherwise. You can also equip a buckler since there're are no penalties to dodge or hit. Any other shield is counter-productive IMO because of the penalties. Once the archer is dead, the swordsman is pretty easy as he's easy to hit.
  21. No, environmentalists really do want to stop economic progress and redistribute wealth instead, I've posted this before: http://m.guardian.co.uk/?id=102202&sto...define-humanity
  22. I think you can use the tavern in Redcliffe as a permanent storage facilty. You have to talk to Bella (I think that's the waitress' name), not sure if you have to get in her favor and/or arrange that she runs the tavern.
