  1. Thane is one hardcore ************. Grunt is meh; he's been done too many times before. I'm sure Bioware will find some way to make him interesting, though.
  2. I'd really like to gauge my eyes out right now.
  3. 1. Assassin's Creed 2 2. Uncharted 2 3. Dragon Age 4. Shadow Complex 5. Borderlands
  4. Yeah, I roughly agree, just from a Jewish standpoint.
  5. Because I'm curious why he thinks I care that capitalism supposedly goes against a religion I don't follow, Why? Because I'm not Christian?
  6. What he said.
  7. Seriously though, why do I give a flying ****? I'm not Christian.
  8. So? Also, straight from the Bible: "Thou shall not steal."
  9. Played 24 consecutive hours of Smash Brothers, ate, saw Avatar again, played more Smash Brothers. All in all, a good day and a half.
  10. Mass Effect and Uncharted 2... Maybe Killzone and Demon's Souls later?
  11. Alright, let's try this again: Super Mario Galaxy Smash Brothers Brawl Makai Kingdom (Zetta may be the greatest videogame character ever) Mass Effect (beats out K1 because you're never asked to talk to Carth/Kaidan for extended periods of time) Kotor 1 Mario 64 Ocarina of Time Metroid Prime Smash Brothers Melee Gears of War Damn, I'm a Nintendo fanboy... Next 10... err, 13: Disgaea 1-3 Metroid Prime 3 Baldur's Gate (both) Planescape Torment Kotor 2 Windwaker Super Mario Bros (the original, in all of its 8-bit glory) Fallout Oblivion Soul Calibur 2 Honorable Mentions: Icewind Dale (both) Portal Assassin's Creed 2 Sands of Time Twilight Princess
  12. Merry Christmas everyone.
  13. It did deny you KotOR 3 and giving you a MMO instead. *cries*
  14. Greed isn't inherently bad. In fact, one could argue, much as I am doing now, that it is the natural result of millenia of Darwinian evolution. The "public welfare and common good" are, much like everything else, relative: at least factory workers have jobs, and are making more money than they would be if not for the influence of capitalism. Global temperatures are cyclical, dammit. Also, where were you a week ago? Inconvenient truth, huh? Much as it has been for centuries, far before Adam Smith came around. No. Capitalism isn't killing me in any way, shape, or form.
  15. Avatar: bloody epic. One of the year's best movies, for sure. Inglorious Basterds (again): Killin' Nazis. Great movie.
  16. Capitalism might lead to some people being screwed over, sure, but Communism involves a whole crap-ton of people getting ****ed because of politicians' decisions (Great Leap Foward, anyone?). Also, like Killian said, in any socialist/Communist/whatever system there's no motivation to succeed, because the government will provide everything for you.
  17. And now, on top of everything else, my beloved mass effect disk died. :ermm:
  18. Crappy day... Viva dest... Oh well, 48 hour Mass Effect marathon= initiating forthwith...
  19. Good luck Hurlshot. Doesn't sound fun.
  20. Boo ****ing hoo. Aye, that brought a tear to me eye, it did. I think I'm starting to see a pattern in your posts. You simply cannot deal with the fact that the world is fundamentally harsh and unjust. Maybe that's why you get a boner when you go on about all those mad totalitarian state utopies? Sorry, I'm not buying whatever it is you're selling... your antics are pretty amusing, though. I think I just died.
  21. It was one badass freaking movie.
  22. Wouldn't the staff have given it away?
  23. No, it's part of a social contract: you want society's protections and benefits, you contribute in the form of taxes. You don't, you go live by yourself in the hills or move to a lawless country or something. Why? The poor get many more benefits (welfare, food stamps, etc.) than I do; why should I pay more, or at all for that matter, for stuff I don't use? Nope! Yes. Its money being taken from its rightful owner. That's theft, whether the government's doing it or not. Nope! Is that a LoF imitation, or a legit response?
  24. Yeah, I know. I mean, the Soviets had nobody educated, because everyone knew their money would disappear, so they constantly lagged far behind the United States in the space race... oh wait, they kept up despite a smaller economy. Whoops, I forgot, the Soviets didn't kill up those who didn't support whatever the government told them to do. Generational wealth is literally the Worst Thing. No. Hell no. I'm an inheritor; my grandfather left me an obscene sum, and my grandmother will leave me even more. That doesn't make me any less motivated to contribute; if anything, it makes me more motivated, because I feel obligated to increase the family fortune. Why is that bad? Nope! Yes. Its money being taken from its rightful owner. That's theft, whether the government's doing it or not.
