  1. I don't think there are many AAA RTS games that allow you to do that. All the Battle for Middle Earth games, all the WarCraft and StarCraft and Age of Empire games, etc., always had you alternate factions after finishing one of the campaigns. (edit): The Command & Conquer games, too. How do you write for a story in a campaign when you don't know which faction the player will play? Can't really write for every single faction.
  2. are great axes (or anything like them) even a historical weapon? seems like they'd be unreasonably difficult to wield even for men...off to wikipedia (e): and after like a minute of looking, the answer seems pretty much like a no.
  3. Special interests > the people Call it pro-business and ignore all the complaints. What are you going to do? Vote Democrat? Unlikely Regulatory capture.
  4. you're sending mixed signals here
  5. "This is difficult and by yourself it's a bit of a rage game." oh c'mon, it's not THAT hard. on the other hand, if you're playing 4-player co-op with each person controlling one limb...
  6. and there it is (e): although sadly it isn't the worst ever
  7. What am I a dance critic? She's hot! That's enough for me. But doesn't the awful cinematography and editing take away any from that? ...No? Well, agree to disagree.
  8. Not with those nauseating every second jump cuts, you won't! Talk about devaluing a performance... Aw, who am I kidding, there's probably good reason they had to do that. Does anyone know where one can find the absolute worst cover of Santa Baby? That should really get the holiday cheer going!
  9. I finally finished MOTHER 3 (EarthBound 2) after starting it many months ago. I liked both M1 and M2 a lot more, especially seeing as the first third of M3 was kind of dreadful, but it was a decent play.
  10. It was pretty much the complete opposite experience for me. Overbearing and super cringy characters and story (with absolutely none of the charm of previous entries), horrid controls and many wonky/bad gameplay mechanics centered around them, really weird and generally unappealing art style (Link's design is pretty easily the most unappealing of all the 3D Zeldas besides maybe the crappy 3DS remasters of the 64 games)...I never finished the game because of how much I disliked virtually everything about it. Fi makes Navi seem like the best companion in existence in comparison - there should've been a "turn off Fi everywhere" option somewhere.
  11. Funny Thread or Music Thread (edit): or Politics Thread
  12. That's a pretty good summary for describing regulations vs. competition. Unfortunately, we're stuck with the final situation in a lot of industries, especially internet.
  13. Somehow, the Packers won a game. If they beat the Browns next week, Rodgers comes back the next with a tough @Panthers match. There's no margin for error anymore. I'll laugh if we lose to the Browns.
  14. Uhh... source? Because that sounds suspiciously like some Cobra Commander level bull****. http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-hiltzik-gop-social-security-20171130-story.html I do not believe those were the exact words, but that seems about right. Yeah, definitely not his exact words, but I mean, that's basically what he's saying. He also had some comments about how taxes can't be used to reduce the deficit...at which point I started wondering what the heck are taxes supposed to be used for in the first place if not for running/paying for our government. Our overall debt is more than just the federal government's, but I'm pretty sure that's a pretty big part of it. But yeah, make the deficit bad enough and they'll have their excuse for cutting benefits, overlooking the fact that they helped put us into this situation.
  15. I mean, resolution gains tend to look the best out of everything you can do, though. You don't drop your resolution to get higher quality textures, after all - you drop the texture quality.
  16. I mean, Marco Rubio (a Republican senator) revealed a few days ago that the end-game of increasing the deficit was so that they can cut medicare and social security. A libertarian ploy sounds better than that.
  17. Well, at least we can finally put the whole "Republicans care about the deficit" nonsense to rest...and then the "Republicans care about states' rights" as well when the FCC royally screws up the internet and makes it so states can't do anything about it. Just crappy excuses for obstructionism when it suits them, nothing more.
  18. "Former national security adviser Michael Flynn is expected to testify that President Trump instructed him to contact Russian officials during the 2016 campaign" http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/362773-flynn-to-testify-trump-directed-him-to-make-contact-with-the From the guy that brought you "Lock her up!", we've now moved on to "Lock them up!". Trump's next line of defense: "Donald Trump was a low level part of the Trump Campaign."
  19. Didn't Tillerson keep calling Trump stupid? Probably had something to do with it, I imagine. I don't think you should be calling the president stupid, especially as a fed, but these are pretty rough times...
