Alright...here we go. Episode 145 (I'm trusting that majestic's numbers for them are correct because otherwise I don't know what I'm on): Episde 146:

I really hate the Control Panel/Settings mess. One or the other, please...and considering how much of a disaster Settings is, I'd prefer bringing back Control Panel, but I know that isn't happening.

It's definitely a good idea, but Microsoft not creating a straightforward way to disable it (especially for those of us who have *always* been perfectly fine with UAC disabled over the last fifteen years), not having a reverse option to start from an elevated mode and instead de-elevate (how hard would it be to have either a "run as standard user" or a "run in sandbox" feature?), etc., leaves a lot to be desired.

I believe this ended up being the winning post: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/716719/run-all-programs-as-admin-by-default/?p=4975198 The description from the user is a little misleading, since it seems to suggest that changing the key simply allows the hidden super Administrator account to run everything without needing approval, but changing the key as suggested had UAC prompt me to restart immediately and upon logging back into my normal administrator user account (i.e. not the hidden super Administrator), everything UAC-related was gone. You'll know that it's working if you open a terminal (either PowerShell or cmd should be fine) without specifying it to run as admin and it still shows itself as being Administrator-elevated at the top. @Sarex Yeah, I know there are still some permissions stuff outside of the UAC stuff (for example, I still can't just start deleting files out of system32 like you could in Windows 7), but at the very least it ends 99% of the daily annoyances. Like good lord, I was having to run my mouse software in administrator mode in order for my mouse to interact with other administrator-elevated applications. I was about to have a brain aneurysm trying to figure out why I could interact with regedit with one mouse but it was completely ignoring the one I actually wanted to use - never experienced something like that before. Ended up restarting my mouse software in administrator mode and suddenly it let me. Alright, cool...so long, UAC.

Okay, but the key thing is they do find and kill him, right? Right? That's a thing that happens? RIGHT?

I recently built a new PC. I've been using Windows 7 for the past decade+, and this new PC unfortunately required that I go to Windows 10. I do not like Windows 10 for a variety of reasons, a big one being its asinine UAC settings that are difficult to turn off. I've had UAC off on Windows 7 for the last decade with nary an incident: in theory, it's good security...in theory. I decided to grit my teeth and give it a chance, and...well, I lasted just about 36 hours after I switched the new PC to be my main PC before I wanted to punt the entire thing into the lake. But instead, I looked some stuff up and completely nuked all of Windows' UAC via some registry edits. Everything runs as admin all the time without needing to double do everything or right-clicking and hitting "run as admin"...and my stuff isn't breaking constantly anymore. I'm not running trashberg Linux here where I have to properly chmod and then sudo every freaking thing I want to do, guys - enough is enough.

That's a terrible lesson to take away from it too, though, .

I initially read that as "It seems I have passed". Thought you must've watched a really bad episode. @InsaneCommander You mentioned earlier about how when people, particularly the girls, are assaulted, nobody...really talks about it. I also thought this was really skeevy - one of them gets horrifically violated in an obviously traumatic manner, and then...nobody talks about it, it's like it never happened? What?

Okay, but hypothetically speaking, if you were the type of person that can't watch Star Trek Discovery for three minutes, where does that leave you?

The All Things Political Thread (The World and US Reunited)
Bartimaeus replied to Amentep's topic in Way Off-Topic
Didn't Trump do it to Kennedy? Democrats must know at this point that the Republicans will do literally anything they can to prevent them from appointing a Supreme Court justice, and it's not difficult to foresee a situation where the court becomes even more lopsided, so I'm not surprised they're trying to get on top of it. -
Who even has the patience to sit through the manga to figure out if it was written better? Honestly, it's so dull, .
-
Throw in Mamoru with those two, and it literally just about brings out the worst in all three characters. Terrible idea...and it's off the heels of S where it seemed like Usagi and Chibi-Usa had finally come to a bit of a mother-daughter understanding, and Chibi-Usa had finally figured some things out. Sometimes, you still see hints of that understanding, but it's too rare by far, and them being openly adversarial is many times more frequent. (e): You ninja-ed me with the SU post: I...can't say anything, .
-
I'm thankful that I've been skipping enough of the ends of episodes I can't even recall her saying this. I had really grown to like Chibi-Usa from S, I don't want her to make me want to kill myself from just her uttering two words. Episode something: Episode what episode am I even on anymore I don't remember someone help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee: Episode Sailor Moon save us all:

Yeah, don't worry, I am checking back with your write-ups for them after I watch them (I only read the ratings *before* I watch them, though). We're not necessarily focusing on all the exact same points for our issues with episodes, but there does seem to be a lot of overlap. That episode really sucked, especially because the entire first half was exclusively about Fishcreep. The second half...was improved because at least Usagi was acting normal, but if you wait until the second half to do anything fun, well, the second half is where several minutes of copy+paste action and resolution happens, so there's not really all that much time if you haven't already set stuff up. That SU episode is one of my season 1 favorites. It shouldn't be, because it's so dumb, but it is. Also, I did read your 30 page research paper on Sailor Moon Sailor Stars from the previous page, but as I haven't seen it (and also I don't usually analyze shows nearly as deeply as that), reading is basically all I can do, .

Final episode for today, episode 13: You guys said the animation in this season was better, but as someone currently mostly skipping past the action sequences that are apparently supposed to shine, everyone seems to inexplicably look a little weirder and uglier than they used to. I said this was the final episode for today, but then the preview for the next one started playing and it's the Minako episode, so I'm hoping I can end on a good note here because even though she hasn't appeared very much this season, when she has, she's still been herself and making me laugh...although if this is HER episode, that probably means bad things are going to happen to her and I might regret this, but then again I can just right arrow past that and pretend it didn't happen so I guess it's okay; also, the more I get done now, the less I have later:
-
Episode...uh, 11, I think: Episode probably 12: I should also mention: I'm skipping several minutes near the end of each episode as of now - the moment one of the creepfaces says "one", I'm hammering that right arrow past the rest of the battle stuff unless I just happen to see something that piques my interest. Just don't have the patience anymore, and I'm not even that far in. This should help get past this.

I know: I stand by what I said, .

Episode 9 of SuperS: Episode 10 of SuperS:

Won't ever match up to the legacy of Suburban Sasquatch, though.

Definitely seemed weird. It's something I almost overlooked because...based on Makoto's general personality type, you'd almost *think* it would make sense for her stronger personality type...until you think back and reflect and realize that it's simply not the case: Makoto has always been lovey-dovey empathetic and a patient believer in others, and it's really more of a Rei thing if it was going to be anyone. Last episode (8) for the day:

Okay, so...I must have misplaced the first five episodes, because the second episode is actually episode 6. I don't know where they went, so I'm just going to pretend that I know what's going on and keep going.

In another life where Usagi wasn't already destined to be Neo, maybe they could've both been proper man-haters together. Hell, the only other dudes Usagi ever attracted were Umino at the beginning of season 1...and Ail...and Price Demande...and probably a whole host of other dudes I'm forgetting about right now, but ignore all that because it doesn't support my point.
-
The first explanation, that they just went together for most people who were actually read the manga at the time, probably makes more sense, but the other explanation is funnier, so I vote that. If I know anything about specifically arrogant artists/creators, they have a tendency to think fans just "didn't understand" or were "biased" or running on "nostalgia" as a result of watching the original show 20 years ago or whatever. More or less the same crap fans of the new crap say... Episode 1 of SuperS Episode 5 of SuperS
