Harden hurt like a minute into the game... (e): And he's confirmed out for the rest of the game at least. (e): Not a great start to the series for the Bucks...not great. But they probably won't shoot sub-20s on 3s the rest of the series, particularly on so many decent looks like they got tonight.

A few minutes into CCS episode 34: For shame! I attempt to do the opposite with basically everything and only support exactly that which I deliberately want to support. Of course, I sometimes have to commit tons of OTHER wrongs to do so in the process, but it is a sacrifice that I am willing to make, . I feel like Netflix wouldn't keep licensing it unless it was a success on some level...but who knows, maybe you're right. Yes, but it was mostly a joke, because it's literally 4 TB every month, which is pretty difficult to reach even when deliberately trying to. I think the closest I've ever gotten was just about 3 TB. It's real rare I gave things a thumbs up (though I have no idea what that even does anymore since Netflix went to only relative ratings some years back vs. the previous system they had), but CCS earned it from me after about the tenth episode. Also, ironic that Mamoru slapped her here instead of...well, firstly, her slapping him for being a complete creep in Crystal, but also instead of all the times in SuperS where she objectively deserved it (e: kind of - I'm not actually advocating for violence here, but man, she was nuts in SuperS...) for being completely psychotic, .

So...how does it feel to ever so faithfully contribute to Netflix's viewership numbers of Sailor Moon Crystal? Speaking of, literally every time I log into Netflix, I'm bombarded with this crap: Even if I was going to watch this, Netflix, I would not do so here - I'd pirate it specifically to avoid letting you think I watched and potentially enjoyed it. Meanwhile, I'm doing the opposite with Cardcaptor Sakura because I actually like CCS - watching it locally while letting episodes play on Netflix in the background. It's a small act, but I've got data to burn and I feel sort of like a very small good samaritan by doing so, . So now that you've finally completed it all thanks to your OCD... Did you have fun? Did you get everything out of your system?

...At least it was a lot better than yesterday's Sailor Moon Crystal movie? Haven't watched anything more yet...will get to it. Watched S4 of Infinity Train yesterday (11 minute episodes, only 10 episodes, basically just a movie) - what a letdown. Somewhat because I just don't think the writing and tone was up to snuff compared to especially the previous two seasons (lots of really obvious writing with practically no twists), somewhat because I wholly despised the protagonists. Each season has different protagonists, and these two guys were best friends when they were younger, but fell apart as they got older because of changing interests and wanting to do different stuff with their lives (or rather one of them doing whatever they wanted, namely being a free-spirited musician, while the other guy let his parents push him into finance at university) and I...just wanted to beat both of their faces in with a rusty iron rod because of how moronic both of them were being in attempting to do everything the opposite way with constant fighting and phony-feeling reconciliation. Made it too difficult to enjoy. A very far cry from one of my very favorite antihero protagonists, the girl with the iron heart (literally - she's basically a metal golem) from the second season, that's for sure. I'm veeery sensitive to character types when it comes to protagonists...three out of four ain't too bad, I suppose.

Yeah, I preferred the cats just being...cats. You know, cats. Cat cats. Cats! Luna transforming into a human temporarily for a wish was fine. Odd, but fine - particularly seeing as S was the best movie of the three precisely because it focused more on character sttuff. Luna and Artemis having been humans all along is inexplicable, has terrible implications, wasn't alluded to as far as I know (and in fact the diametric opposite in the original show but I guess we have to ignore that), and just doesn't work by any stretch of the imagination. Stupid. Hey, yeah, that is pretty much exactly what the rest of us did re: Sailor Moon Crystal. You're screwing up the entire plan, majestic!

Creepy thoughtless garbage like this seems to keep having a habit of happening in Crystal...and SuperS, . But that's the best looking character...s(?) so far! I mean, s/he doesn't look like they belong in Sailor Moon in the slightest, but... lol Actually, I really disagree, I think I could've very well gone without reading any of that and been perfectly fine. I've joked about Minako being a "crazy cat lady" several times throughout the series (which, while having some truth to it, is also completely at odds with her, uh, very...forward behavior re: boys and such), but now I feel pretty lousy about it. What the hell?

Oh, yes, you're right - IIRC the only one of them that I didn't skip was Minako's, which in retrospect I feel kind of gross that I didn't, but on the other hand she broke herself free and started attacking them, so it kind of balances out. Seems like the movie is going even worse than expected...

I watched that Sailor Moon clip earlier today, and I genuinely have zero memory of that fight/monster. Literally nothing at all - it was like I was watching it for the first time. I must have skipped it or something. Freaking SuperS. This reminds me, I logged into Netflix a few days ago and was greeted with this upon my main page: Thanks Netflix, but no thanks - it's not going to happen. ...But it looks like you found someone else to sink your claws into.

I see exactly one ProArt model that's 16:10, which is the 1200p PA248QV. ...Kind of almost want to get it at $200, but the refresh rate is apparently so bad that it's not even particularly good for watching videos, never mind anything besides image-editing, .

Humongous tabs, bad tab highlighting that makes it difficult to tell what tab is currently active without having to look (real important for me as someone that cycles through tabs exclusively with Ctrl+Tab/number), submenus that open by replacing the original menu instead of an actual submenu, white space EVERYWHERE that's shifted literally every single shortcut, setting, bookmark, etc. from where they should be, and everything just looks ugly and oversimplified. No, this just won't do. (e): I'm also the type of person that still longs for the olden days of 16:10 monitors, which basically don't even exist anymore - please do not waste my precious vertical space with comically oversized tabs or anything of the sort, thank you very much.

I'm VERY sensitive about these sorts of user experience changes. I stuck with Old!Opera (before they switched the entire back-end from their proprietary Presto to horrid Chromium) for about...3 years after its last update, and the only reason I updated was because literally everything was breaking all of the time and many websites had become straight up unusable due to glitches and styling issues and such. I had to switch to Firefox at that point. It ended up being for the best due to the necessity of better extensions anyways, but it was still sad. ...Which reminds me, I should make a complete backup of my Firefox just to make sure it doesn't try to auto-update my 20 or so extensions and then strip them from me because "they're no longer supported with your old version of Firefox". Bah, humbug. Yes, but I fixed it - it doesn't actually delete your old profile, it just creates a new one and tells you you aren't allowed to open the old one. There's a profiles.ini in AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox that you can re-write to set to the old one, then force Firefox to allow a downgrade via a --allow-downgrade shortcut switch of the Firefox.exe, then re-opening Firefox should allow the old profile to load. (e): Would also suggest creating a backup of that profile...just in case. Also, it occurs to me that you might've meant from the update itself rather than trying to downgrade, so maybe I have the wrong thread of thought entirely here, .

Yeah, I read that, plus they're apparently going to remove the limited compact mode for Proton as well, hence why I went and downgraded entirely while disabling auto-updating (...and firewalling off their update service juuust in case). Stupid.

Firefox updated today and it looks and feels absolutely horrendous, good lord almighty. Everything is double-spaced for some goshforsaken reason, and the top of my browser where the tabs are is so freaking fat. I hate it so much. It's Opera all over again... Going to have to identify the last version of Firefox that wasn't horrible, save the installer and then always disable auto-updating until they come to their senses or there's an add-on to fix this disgusting display. (e): Okay, successfully downgraded. It tried to tell me my profile (containing login cookies, bookmarks, extensions, setting customization, etc.) wouldn't be compatible with the old version and generated an entirely new profile, but I found the old profile in AppData and manually overrode it, and it seems like everything's fine. Never thought Firefox of all browsers would be this pants, but here we are... What other browsers besides Firefox and Chrome have the needed extension versatility? Ugh.

Tomoyo's really got that Once in a Lifetime "this is not my beautiful Sakura...but at least she's right over there" vibe in that picture. Also, given that I lack the context for the scene, it still is pretty creepy! Presumably, it will be less so when I see it for real... Now that you mention it...I have no idea, . Have to imagine it's real early among sports-centric shows...

...Did you have plans at some point? Classic sports story arc stuff...and then the training montages to climb back up to the top, . ...Although this is a show, so that probably won't happen, at least not directly. No Sakura for me...yet. Perhaps to be amended later today.

Indeed! First time LeBron has ever been eliminated in the first round...and also, to answer something I asked earlier, apparently 2007 is the last time both conference champions were eliminated in the first round. So not a totally unique occurrence.

I'm going to bed, hope to wake up and see that the Lakers were eliminated tomorrow. I think I read a stat the other day before tonight's game happened that Jokic has played 37 playoff games with Denver, and Denver had never even once won a game while already up one (e.g. 1-0, 2-1, 3-1); tonight finally broke that streak. (e): Oh, also, Jokic will be the lowest drafted MVP ever, after Giannis set that record two years ago (15th pick for Giannis, 41st for Jokic!).

It seems that we are all aphantasiacs to one degree or another on this blessed day! In that case, I have no other explanation for the terrible lack of dreams, .

I can't even get regular dreams, never mind lucid! With the one lucid dream I had, it was an utterly boring dream where absolutely nothing of note happened, but it was still amazing not just because I was awake and aware, but also just the...clarity of detail. Real life doesn't have what that dream had - everything was perfectly clear and colors and shapes popped in a way I'd never seen or experienced before. And then to be able to look down at the ground, see a rock and then tap it with my foot and really feel it, and then to kick it and have it...well, at least seem like the laws of physics were being properly applied from a decision I had consciously made, it was all so very real and vivid. Feels like such a waste to have what's probably my single lucid dream in my entire life be a dream where absolutely nothing happened, but better than never having had it at all! Could've been in a cagematch to the death with my robot dragon alien doppelganger on the Plane of Shadow...
