  1. Who laughs like that? I still maintain it would of made a interesting human noble origin.
  2. As great as a White Wolf Obsidian RPG would be, it's not going to happen. They would not want to compete with their own MMO product.
  3. I don't think it sold that well either, my point was, it was already at BG sales numbers.
  4. That's questionable.
  5. IW isn't that bad, it just happens to be the sequel of Dues Ex. Nothing sort of perfection was going to be accepted.
  6. FYI the new PS3 slim lines don't have Linux support.
  7. The only thing I can think of, like others, is she/he meant IW. Still doesn't explain the 'ignore all Obsidian games' comment/overreaction.
  8. Some people would say yes. Especially female gamers. The story is about a man. It shouldn't matter what the player's gender is; You're playing out him, his life, his past, not yourself. Many people like to play themselves in RPGs, and games like Torment do not allow that. Which is why it won't be held in as high regard by them. If your/my opinions differ to theirs, to bad. That's the way they play.
  9. That is by far, the best preview of DA:O.
  10. No, it's that people love to exaggerate and bull****. At least that's what I get from his post.
  11. Some people would say yes. Especially female gamers.
  12. Selling copies quickly is far better then over ten years(for a dev). Companies want there game to sell at full price rather then at bargin bin prices. As for having more tail, I would suspect a spike in ME sales after ME2 and again after ME3. Then there is also the chance of it being released on the PS3. Baldur's Gate, released in 1998, has sold over 2 million units for PC after 11 years Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, was released in Sept. 2000 and continued the award winning story line of the Baldur's Gate series, selling over 2 million units after 9 years Neverwinter Nights and its two expansions have sold close to 3 million copies worldwide so far. after six years So we have BG at 2mil, BG2 at 2mil and NWN and it's expansions at 3 mil. As it stands we have ME at 2mil for just 360, with no numbers on pc sales. I'm not seeing second worst selling RPG.
  13. No they wanted to create a story around Michael Thorton, not Michael & Michelle Thorton. I wasn't done because they don't care about there female customers, it was done so they could concerntrate on telling the story of MT. Their Aliens RPG would of had the choice of PC gender, NV will and I bet their future titles will too. Complete overreaction. Not to ignoring AP, that is understandable if you need to play as your gender, but to ignore Obsidian future games is.
  14. I sort of figured New Vegas was well....About New Vegas.
  15. Kool Aid is bad. Exactly. Probably why so many are interested. That or the hips.
  16. Most 360/PS3 players, have never heard of BG. As for the console version of DA:O, that's what happens when a game is made for PC first, consoles second. AP will sell a mil easy, it's on three platforms. One of which is starved for RPGs. Unless of course it's recieved badly by the press, even then Kane & Lynch still did well. None of them hit 2 mil so quickly. Companies like their new games to sell quickly at full price. Not over ten years at reduced prices. Fable 2 is considerd a big success at 2.6 mil, as is AC at 2.2.(360). If AP reaches 2 mil on one platform, it will be a blockbuster. Also as a fun note, Grand Theft Auto IV sold 2.6mil on the PS3, MG4 3 mil. Halo/Sims/WoW are not a measuring sticks, they are anomalies.
  17. You know ME2 is out between Jan-March? Thats a long delay. I think releasing it before ME2 is a better decision.
  18. Commander Forrester. In other news, here is another preview of ME2.
  19. Just poisons, traps and potions.
  20. Both are unknown. However Miranda seems to pigeonholed for males, then there are 80 page Thane love topics, and 70 page Tali love thread, so if the devs listened to them.... Then there is Ashley/Kaiden/Liara if you romanced them... I'm no longer describing a space opera am I? It's a space soap.
  21. Or they could design a AI that doesn't charge, adding localized damage means nothing if the AI behaves like headless chickens.
  22. No they don't. Devs gave some reason why, can't remember what it was though.
  23. The one down the street from me has a very small rack that's buried in the corner. The wall of shame. Whenever I look through it people point and laugh. Strange, where I am the two major game retailers (EB, Game) have fairly large selection of PC games. And I'm pretty sure EB is Gamestop.
  24. But there are other large weapons.
