  1. I will still buy it when it comes out, but I'm rather annoyed at the complete lack of communication about MoW. I understand that they want to protect their game (even though I'm of the opinion that it doesn't help all that much). But I wonder if the delays haven't hurt potential MoW sales more than if they had just released it when it was finished (which was in like, December?) without copy protection. But yeah, at the very least. Atari, Obsidian, Ossian, God, whoever... Please talk to us and inform us beforehand when stuff like this doesn't make it into a patch. I'd be happy if the 1.13 patch was just a small patch which essentially just got the whole protection thing into place, if it means the patch could be released really quick.
  2. If you check the prefabs area of the NWVault: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=nwn2p...ow_days_back=10 Open the left scroll-menu, and select Obsidian area contest. Then you'll see the areas submitted. I've actually been inspired to start doing stuff in the toolset, trying to create an area instead of just farting around and then discarding it. While it's taking its sweet time figuring out how everything works (in terms of the visuals) and what doesn't work, it's really quite fun. Still, I'm just in awe of people like the author of Harp & Crysanthemum. I just cannot believe how good looking the areas in that module is, it's truly incredibly. But yeah, I encourage everyone who hasn't done so to play around a bit with the NWN2 toolset. It's pretty fun, and maybe you'll get hooked enough on it to eventually release content of your own to the vault. I recommend these two tutorials. http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2T...etail&id=14 http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2T...etail&id=41 The first one is great for just starting out, and seeing how the layout works in general. The second tutorial actually incorporates some of the content from the first one, but goes slightly more in-depth. Also, a few parts of them are outdated (I think there has been some changes to the toolset with the patches), but still very much worth it and an incredible help for someone starting out.
  3. Mostly excited about the fact that we'll probably see a potential release of MoW soon. My bet is on next week.
  4. Do the teams have different colors, and are there ever gangwars in the Obsidian offices? Which team would win, Aliens or Alpha Protocol? Or the NWN2 XP2 team?!?! (yes!!!!)
  5. Yes, this thread is slipping. Someone save it!
  6. It makes us feel good when we can give something meaningful back to the Obsidian devs you know?
  7. Haha, the 3 Urquhart soldiers in the back are the best.
  8. The next one should obviously be the godfather himself... Feargus!
  9. I think I'm gonna dream of crates tonight.
  10. Queen - Who wants to live forever Freddy Mercury was a really great singer.
  11. There's been a few nice offerings so far.
  12. STALKER is not a RPG. More like a slowerpaced (for the most part) and fairly open shooter. That said, that's what I'm playing now. Having fun, and really looking forward to Clear Sky. Also looking forward to Mysteries of Westgate which shouldn't be long now. 1.12 patch is released tomorrow, and hopefully MoW will follow shortly afterwards.
  13. I'm part of the team damnit, now where is my paycheck?
  14. Sort of depressing to see a likely release date moved further and further away, but I'm glad they're taking the time to polish it as much. I know a lot of people think that they should've just released it instead of beta-testing it like they're doing now, and I can just imagine the amount of whining there'd be about the fact that it's buggy even after such a long time in development. Hopefully they're moving into a "crunch time" mode, so that bugs will be fixed faster than ever. I'm also sort of fearful of the hype that's been building over the development of this thing. It seems a lot of people are basically expecting this to turn KOTOR2 into basically a new and totally amazing game which will forever change the way we see gaming.
  15. Do you sometimes put yourself in these crates after creating them?
  16. Tommy Emmanuel - Up from Down Under
  17. Will the Black Hound intro be equally tyte?
  18. This is the intro for Mysteries of Westgate. I must say, they did a good job on blending the initial "narrarion over artwork" with the in-engine cutscene. I think it looks really good, and the voicing sounds passable, though not great. The music also sounds quite ncie. http://pc.ign.com/articles/858/858189p1.html Hope it won't be to long now until 1.12 and MoW release.
  19. The overall direction of having a spy-themed RPG sounds like a lot of fun. The 'Mass Effect'-ish combat and dialogue system (well, we don't know to much about it yet, but) does not. While this can still be good (I'm sure writing will be great with Avellone and Mitsoda at least), I have to admit that I share the same worries as Zoma. By this small blurb of info, it sounds like it's sort of following in the footsteps of Mass Effect in terms of gameplay. I really hope that it will feel like its own game.
  20. I'm actually going through my old rap albums, which I thought I'd never enjoy much again, but I actually am. Well, some of them. It kinda sucks since I always found rap to be a pretty good vehicle for getting various messages across, but most of it is just rubbish. Ice-T - Squeeze the Trigger
  21. I think Obsidian had a great thing going atmosphere wise in Peragus, but I feel that the pacing is somehow off. I understand that they were going for a slower unfolding terror thing (which I usually like), but it doesn't quite get it right. It goes on for to long.
  22. They're gonna announce that the're inviting the forum members to the Obsidian office for tea and crumpets, I bet. *licks screen*
  23. Still playing STALKER, and getting increasingly hyped about Clear Sky. Still hoping that the Purgatorio beta is on for April.
