  1. Of course I test everything I post here. That's why I know you didn't test it. If you want proof, here u go I use two set here, scepter in main/pistol in offhand. And pistol in main/scepter in offhand. Ha, nice find Have just tested it, and can confirm) You need a ranged_weapon_with_recovery in mainhand, and ranged_weapon_with_reload in offhand. It's definitely a new bug.I remember I was checking this after release or during v1.1, and behaviour was different. I presume that this change is the one that indirectly led to the bug discovered by dunehunter. Nope, scepter+pistol is bugged since launch as far as i know. I made a reddit post about it few weeks ago
  2. I don't know if it was mentioned, but there's rather interesting interaction going on when you equip ranged weapon with reload in main hand and ranged weapon with recovery in off-hand - for example pistol MH and scepter OH. Full attacks with such setup don't have reload nor recovery, and can be spammed back-to-back until you run out of resources. Im not sure if it is bug or feature, but it's extremely powerful as it allows you to dump DEX and still have monstrous damage (esp. if you are multiclassing any 2 of rogue/ranger/fighter/pally)
  3. Because of CW mechanics. CW is long duration debuff that does nothing on its own. When you hit target with CW, it applies single stack of DoT that does 4 damage per 3s for 6s Furthermore, hitting target with active stacks deals instant damage equal to one tick. This means that hitting target with BB creates 4 stacks, dealing 24 instant damage + 32 damage over 6s. Hitting target with 2 BBs (full attack) deals 112 damage and 64 damage over 6s You see where this is going? Single hit on target with 20 stacks deals extra 80 damage, which is massive. These calculations are made only with base values, so you can imagine how Massive the numbers can get. Remember that every teammate can trigger CW so it ramps up very quickly
  4. Highest DPS builds i can think of: - Sage (Generalist Wizard/Helwalker) with Combusting Wounds, Wall of Flame and 2 Blunderbusses. Since CB's damage scales exponentially up to some limit, it should deliver absurd damage - Human Shadowdancer (Streetfighter/Helwalker). Use AI to drop HP to bloodied using Mortification of Soul, keep up Swift Strikes/Thunderous Blows/Dance of Death. This build was absolutely ridiculous, in fact it had so high damage i refused to play it, because it hits for 80-ish damage every 2 seconds BEFORE LEAVING PORT MAJE - Sage (Generalist Wizard/Helwalker) with ICBM build (instruments of Pain, Citzal's Lance). Lance procs explosions that also proc Monk's free attacks. Instruments with Reach weapon means you'll have 8m range. It literally explodes groups of enemies - Scepter/Pistol full attack build (any combination of Ranger, Fighter, Rogue or Pally). Equip Pistol in MH, scepter in OH and set up AI to spam full attacks until dry. Should be very high on your chart since it has no recovery and no wind-up time, so it should steal all enemies from other builds.
  5. Depends, some DoT builds are better with as high INT as possible, for example Combusting Wounds are much stronger at 30+ INT
  6. Actually reducing Fortitude is easy and extremely rewarding. Chanter has weaken Phrase that decreases CON by 5 and MIG by 2, so that's pulsing -14 Fortitude AoE. Morning star Modal decreases Fortitude by -25 on graze/hit... BW with Mortars can spam AoE sickened (-10 Fortitude) very well. Building party around Fort is amazing. Wizards are amazing thanks to Combusting Wounds, Barbs can attack fort instead of deflection, Xoti's harvest becomes super reliable, monk's abilities land efforflessly etc.
  7. Try Magrans Challenge with Triple Crown. It's unbearable, not because of difficulty but because of randomly resetting AI settings/Party formation
  8. There are other extremely powerful low-rank spells, some of them are situationally way stronger than Chill Fog. Chill Fog is great because Blind halves range and decreases accuracy, which coupled with it's pretty large size makes it amazing if you drop it between enemy front line and back line. As the back line gets blinded, they move towards their front line and this sets up other AOE abilities very well. Also it's pulsing nature and long duration mean that it will affect even characters with very high defences eventually
  9. I made "evil" character who's not evil for the sake of being evil He's honest/diplomatic and even benevolent as long as are people abiding laws/moral code, but if someone breaks these laws/moral code (which is very often) he's outright cruel and aggressive, not hesitating to kill. This is because of his explanation of the Wheel - if you kill someone their soul returns to the Wheel and gets reincarnated as someone/something else. He's okay with rude asshats or incompetent people as long as they are not doing mess (breaking law, killing people, stealing stuff), but if someone tries to steal/trick/kill others he will be either punished or outright killed. For example he's very likely to help Pitli in her quest to heal sick Roparu, but he probably kills every scum in Delver's Row in process, leaving only innocents alive. Another example would be Family Feud. One Valeras trying to break into Bardatto's vault? Wipe everyone involved.
  10. Well, single-class Wizard, Priest and Druid are already stronger than their multiclass variations Monk is also very powerful single-class
  11. Im not sure, but aren't companion's spells affected by relationship to watcher instead of watcher's dispositions?
  12. For actual chance at boarding, equip everyone with Large Shields and turn on their modal. It should let you ignore the firearms until you cast critical spells such as Chill Fog, AOE Robust thingy from druid or similar damage reducing abilities. Position your tank on the chokepoint and spam some AOE CC around him, while your melee DD and/or Ranged DD deals with ranged baddies. Some ships also have stairs which offer limited cover against ranged weapons, i always position my healer there.
  13. My suggestion would definitely be Wizard/Transmuter (or no-subclass). Combusting wounds is a long-duration debuff that applies one stack of DoT every time enemy gets hit. This is triggered by AoE abilities such as Wall of Flame, Chill Fog, but also Hand Mortar's explosions. Blunderbuss applies up to 4 stacks as each pellet triggers it. This ability is available very early and it's very reliable unless you run into fire-immune enemies.
