  1. Big fan of Berserk (and Guts, of course), so I'll have to give this a try before they inevitably nerf it into Tartarus.
  2. In addition to her ramblings, as Yria said, the quest itself just comes out and says it. "I've convinced Xoti to work with the animancers atop the Spire of the Soul-Seers in Neketaka in order to aid their research in creating an artificial rebirthing process. It is our best means for surviving once Eothas breaks the Wheel." Considering her companion quest revolves around Neketaka and doesn't take very long to finish, there's a good chance you'll come across this spoiler before you've even touched Hasongo - or even the faction questlines. On an unrelated note, you have an extraordinarily disturbing avatar, sir. Durance makes everything better...
  3. You can always kill the leaders of each faction and sail to Ukaizo alone. As for why it's written that way, I think they were going for a "no one is fully good/evil, just shades of grey" - GRRM style, probably 'cause they felt it would be more realistic/believable that way. Whether or not it worked depends on the player. That being said, I have seen quite a few posts (elsewhere) questioning why pirates are the least "evil" faction, so there might be something to it.

  5. Can't answer the first one 'cause I've always killed her. 2. Even if you kill him (which I think you always end up doing no matter what, unless you skip that quest) he still shows up in Deadfire during Arkemyr's questline. 3. That doesn't seem to be the case. It may or may not be a bug, but despite choosing the Scale-Breaker option, it's never shown up for me. Then again, as far as I know, the world state stuff is still bugged (Hylea keeps giving me cake even though I didn't pledge myself to her), so someone out there might've gotten it to work for 'em. As for the Adra Dragon, if it possesses Falanroed there's a reference to 'em during the Principi questline (unless I'm mistaken), but as far as I know there's no other reference to it - nor any benefits for keeping it alive.
  6. You're a very suspicious person. The only real theory I had was that Eothas was gonna try and break the Wheel, and Xoti pretty much confirmed it early on - which made it all the more amusing when chatting with the gods and pretending I knew nothing.
  7. This has given me a lot to think about - lots of good suggestions and info. Thanks, all.
  8. I dig Forge Clerics in 5E D&D, so I'd be all for a priest of Abydon.
  9. That sounds promising. So you'd recommend going pure monk, then? I've heard that the higher-tier monk abilities are pretty strong, but I've also heard that monks multi-classes rather well with many other classes.
  10. Greetings, folks. I'm gearing up for my second playthrough and, being a big fan of Zahua (and monk being my main in PoE1), I'm thinking of rolling a Nalpazca monk as my next character. I dig the lore behind 'em and the mechanics surrounding 'em are pretty neat, but I'm curious as to how they actually perform. I'd like to go for a more tanky build, as my previous character was more or less a glass cannon. Furthermore, I'll be going down the PotD route; previously went with Veteran, figuring the difficulty would be similar to the first game - but evidently that was not the case (especially with 2 ciphers; made most encounters trivial). With all that said, has anyone had experience with a Nalpazca, and if so - what'd you think of it? Would you guys recommend going pure monk, or multi-classing it? Appreciate any and all insight/suggestions.
