  1. Good thing I'm not religious. ^_^
  2. Being that I'm 100% for capital punishment when necessary, I happen to believe the opposite. "Democratic" is not an antonym for "Barbaric". There is a distinct difference between putting someone to death for murdering a family of six in their own home and slaughtering/raping a whole town of innocents for no other reason than because they're there. That wasn't the point I was making with the Middle Ages bit. I was just using that to call to mind the fact that those two particular methods were more merciful and speedier than that of these ****ers. Yes, I do know that atrocities take place everywhere. Were it up to me, each of those responsible in all cases would be given a wonderful lesson in the concept of "An Eye for An Eye". But it's not, so apparently, people like you should be thankful that's not the case. You may know of his crimes, but to see it is another thing entirely.
  3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Always liked that quote.
  4. I'm aware of that. But Lucius already addressed it. Had we captured him, what would have happened then? More would have risen to take his place, and the anger would still be there. So what should have been done? Let him go free? Leave him to his plots? For god sakes, do you know what this monster's done? I'm sorry, (Actually, I'm not.) but I can't feel more than my usual "There goes more wasted human potential" for this thing after seeing one of those videos...I never intended to view it, but the file name only gave a date. Remember beheadings from the middle ages? They'd take an axe to your neck, or the guillotine would drop? These ****ing wastes of breath didn't do that. They actually sawed these people's heads off with a hunting knife, while they were still alive, kneeling there, screaming. It took a while. I'm sorry, but if you're capable of that, you deserve no quarter.
  5. It always gets worse before it gets better. The joy, and I'm sorry to tell you that there is indeed joy (Along side the little pang of remorse), comes from the knowledge that there is one less murderous animal out there. To refer to that thing as a man, or to treat it as such, is an insult to any good in the species. I never claimed that his death would mean an end to anything, save for the life of a wretched excuse for a sentient being.
  6. Enlighten me. Please. I'd love to hear why this...thing...doesn't deserve to be paraded around in the streets, strung up by his entrails. Keeping in mind, I'm not exactly jumping for joy here, but I'm sure as hell not mourning the little monstrosity.
  7. Um...riiiiight. Anyway, I'm with the hairless Norseman. If you're a person, and I use that term lightly in this case, who makes a living slaughtering innocent people, beheading foreigners, and trying to start wars, in which many many more will die, you've automatically lost the humanity that made it a negative thing to wish, and celebrate, your death.
  8. Where at? I have some..er...things I wouldn't like being seen by the head of a billion dollar corporation. :">

  10. Good points. I'll shut up now and get to sleep, as I'm barely awake enough to type correctly, let alone form cohesive thoughts.
  11. For the dogs...well...I'd wager that if there's a female in heat, it's on regardless, since, as you say, they're not quite as intelligent as humans, the instinctual part of it would probably take over. Or something. I'm just as clueless as I seem to be.
  12. Porn! (w00t)
  13. OWNED!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, all they'd have to do is sleep with somebody of the opposite sex. Like they couldn't "take one for the team", or even do so before realizing their true orientation? And it's not like the gene couldn't simply be a very dormant, very recessive one embedded in or DNA.
  14. Answered my question. I am thinking they'd react differently. Call it naivety, hopefulness...or, you know, ignorance.
  15. Well then! Meet mr. dolphin! And his friends!
  16. You do know that some choose that route, right?
  17. You are welcome to go live under a rock if you hate mankind and society so much. You wouldn't be the first. Denying progress is as realistic as denying gravity. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only slightly more futile.
  18. Not really. The chances of a nuclear power using nuclear ordnance against another nuclear power have been diminishing steadily since the end of the Cold War... and that's all that matters. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sort of what I meant. It's diminishing because for a country to fire the things with the intent to kill, as opposed to testing out in the ocean or something, is sort of akin to a death sentence...what with national disapproval, declarations of war, nukes being fired at them, sanctions, diplomatic and economic isolation.......or maybe I'm thinking the world would react differently than it actually would.
  19. *Shudder* :'( Oh yeah? Well suck otter!
  20. I "awww"ed. :">
  21. Holy ****! Step on it! Quick!!
  22. Not what I meant, but I won't deny that. It's our one inherent flaw, that being the ability, and seemingly primary purpose, to harm one another. Then again, we've also the capacity for startlingly compassionate, kind acts as well......so is the flaw not that we're capable of atrocity, but that we're capable of extremes? ...I have no clue what I'm talking about, but I meant that it's sort of self-defeating when you give a country nuclear technology when you're trying to prevent them from acquiring the means to create weaponry with that very same technology. We're basically going to give them years of research for free, giving them a giant leap toward that dream of nuclear arms...if that's the road they're going down. Then again.....nukes are pretty much useless, since, if even one of those damn things gets fired, you can bet that hundreds more will be airborne within the hour, from all over the world...instant-armageddon and a few more species to tack onto that endangered list (If we're lucky. At worst, we'd be as good as extinct.). Unless you've got a death wish, you don't push that shiny button. Which is why there's cause for concern with these religious types...they think there will be a nice big reward waiting for them once they purge the world of the "infidels".
  23. Could I add "and are also pretty scary due to seal-related mental illness." to that line of mine in your sig?
