It has nothing to about you agreeing or disgreeing with me. It has to do with the fact that you are wrong. DVDs are no more fragile than CDs. They are made of the same basic materials and have the same basic function. The only major difference is that a DVD can hold more data.
I don't see how a DVD could be more or less fragile than a CD.
I disagree. There was too much lame arse easter eggs and toilet humor in Fallout 2 for me to consider it better than Fallout 1. It is still a great game mind you, with only two games better, but Fallout 2 is not better than Fallout 1. Also the boxing minigame was kind of stupid. I hate mini games.
To each there own then. Be technologically backwards. In my experience DVDs are just as durable as CDs. No more and no less. If you actually take care of your discs they should last a fairly long time.
That would be a good system if the difficulty slider was on NOOBIE LEVEL. On hardcore DnD and higher difficulty it should be 0 Hit Points means dead. Man, when are we going to get a proper DnD game like the Baldur's gate and Icewind Dale games were? In those games 0 hit points means death. No hand holding there and it was good.
This is sorely disappointing from Obsidian. I thought they were better than this. I thought Obsidian knew that their fanbase are not idiots. We don't need a child proof game.
Oh bloody hell. Why the lame arse death rules Obsidian? 'Man, I though NWN 1 was lame but this is ridiculous. 0 Hit Points means dead. Finito. END OF GAME. I don't need my hand held while playing a computer game. This is just pathetic.
THANK YOU OBSIDIAN FOR MAKING CLERICS WORThLESS!
No respawning.
No being knock out.
0 hit points is death.
This is silly. A DVD is just as scratchable as a CD and a CD is as scratchable as a DVD. If you have a huge scratch on a DVD yes there info on it will be screwed. The same would be true if you have a huge scratch on a CD. Scratchings is a lame arse argument against DVDs since both mediums are equally screwed if they get scratched and both can be easily scratched if you aren't careful with your discs.
Hell, my computer has a DVD Burner and it costed $500. CDs, like 56k modems, are ancient past. Any game that requires to be on 4 or more CDs needs to be on DVD. Its not like DVD ROMs are expensive. $40 can get you a decent DVD ROM.
Well, I thought to give good Oblivion a rest and play some Ultima 2. I died. Quickly.
The game just goes really quick. Not even Mo'Slo slowed it any. :'(
