I agree with Feargus about the whole clean slate. After all, this is Obsidian and not Black Isle. Pooperscooper, you and Llamagod both send me links that were not broken. They will be forwarded.

If they break the rules of the forums they should be warned. If they break the rules of the forums severely, then they should be banned. Has nothing to do with my preference in games or anything else for that matter. There are rules of conduct on these boards and those rules need to be enforced. Enough said.

As long as people act civilized and behave we won't have a problem. If we have people acting like PooperScooper, then we need to crack down on such behavior and remove those type of people off the boards.

I do think that if Obsidian wants to be on the cutting edge of CRPG design they do need to create an original rules system that can be applicable in a multiple genres. If they did that and then make the game and a new engine, we are looking at least a 3 to 4 year development time.

But the d20 System license excludes interactive gaming software. For example Obsidian couldn't do a d20 game based on any of Necromancer Games' or Fantasy Flight's products.

Most games with an established engine should only take 18 to 22 months to complete, though some games would definitely could use a longer amount of time in the Q&A department *cough*Temple of Elemental Evil*cough*.

You have a point Mr. T. I think that would be far more plausible to happen than another PS:T.
