You are right, Iolo. There is no way to reason with the RPGCodex peeps.

Ultima 7 was the last great Ultima games. U8 and U9 were total crap and not worth playing. What we need is a game that has a good balance between story/character driven plots like PS:T/KotOR and the open-endedness of Morrowind. Fallout series I would say be a closer balance, leaning towards the Morrowind side of things with BG series being closer to the balance leaning towards PS:T. If Obsidian could make a game that is in the middle ground like Fallout or BG in terms of character creation, exploration, and story then I think we might just have a near perfect game.

Well, with the PMs Spazmo and Pooperscooper sends out I would want to see there collection of pics and gifs. They probably send a whole bunch of them back and forth to each other.

It would be Black Isle at its prime and that would not be a bad thing.

Exitium, I was willing to let the matter drop and be civil about it but I guess the thugs at RPGCodex don't know what civility is. I guess that is to be expected. Indeed, RPGCOdex is all about Insults, Flames, and Gay Porn.

I didn't mind the romances in BG2 or KotOR. They were explorable and ignorable. The best set up there is when it comes to role playing options.

Sorry, but with the attitudes of the people of RPGCodex and that PM I just cannot with good conscious refer anyone to go to RPGCodex for anything. Take that as you may, but in all seriousness you guys are jerks and far worse than me when I get on the kick to be one. What I say is truth, but as Volourn pointed out I do tend to exaggerate so I will take the hit for that. Anyway, I think we should let the subject die.

A X Box? Well, at least you have Jade Empire to look forward to. I went the Game Cube route myself. I am a Resident Evil fanatic. Anyway, I hope that MP is definitely out but if it is in, hopefully they keep it low key.

Well, that is rather silly to use sarcasm in that reegard when they obviously are not. Now if they were trying to be masterpieces but they aren't, then the sarcasm would be warranted. For example: "Titanic" is a real masterpiece of film. That would be sarcasm.

I wouldn't mind a Western with an arcane twist (aka Deadlands) though it might get a little too close to Steampunk which has been done with Arcanum. It would be an interesting to see Obsidian's take on the genre, but that would be mirroring a little too close to Troika for my own tastes.

Actually its Hades One=Hades One here. :D They are hardly masterpieces. I am just judging a game as unbiased as possible and posting my conclusions. Nothing more.
