KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
The whole premise of a KotOR 3 is flawed. Let the series die and make a new CRPG Star Wars series that is built, from the ground up, as a trilogy.

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
Never played System Shock 2. Played both Deus Ex games and they were good shooters. Units are not classes. Sorry, please try again.

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
How is it not a CRPG? You have equipment, character stats, leveling, a story placed in it. You have different "classes" and skill builds. You can also gain a party. How is it not a CRPG? Last time I checked Commando didn't have these things.

The Religion Thread
God has given me no reason to trust him or his word. Hell, he cannot make up His mind in how am I supposed to worship him. We got Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and all the little subgroups within them. We have Bahai, Bhuddism, Hinduism, and all sorts of pagan religions. Not one religion looks more credible or right than another. Why would I trust a god that can't even make up his own mind on how he is to be worshipped?

I prefer more tactical options in my games. Silent Storm is a very good CRPG.

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
The problem is that my mind changes on a whim of the moment, so I am hardly even consistant with personal matters. It is simply how my brain works and something I have come to accept. I call this organized chaos for there are central things that I am consistant such as my views on religion, personal rights and liberties, and the war and Iraq. On other issues such as what makes a good CRPG are more... fluidic. Such as even though ToEE has the best combat I have ever seen in a Dungeons and Dragons, the game itself is crap while the game mechanics of Jade Empire is a little too simplistic for my taste it is really fun to play. The difficulty is just right when playing in Grand master mode. At least at first. I have gotten so good with that game I leave a litter of red and blue orbs in every battlefield and I am already at full health. If we could place a game with the same story frame work as KotOR 1 or even 2 with a tactical turn base combat engine, similarly found in Fallout or even FOT, I would be in gamer heaven. Of course what I consider gamer heaven might be a gamer hell to others.

Never cry wolf
So, how do we mark this up? How can we make sure this sort of tragedy doesn't happen again? Should lethal force be the first and foremost answer in situations like these or should the Marshal service try a different approach next time. I never like the idea of lethal force being the first and only option.

If the game is too easy, I get bored and any game I get bored at is not a CRPG to me.

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
J.E. it isn't suppose to work for you. It is suppose to work for me. It is my definition, not yours. If it is inconsistant that is because I am inconsistant. Overall it has to do with the style of the game which makes it a true CRPG or not for me. Since I am not in the industry or Obsidian are making games specifically for me I am wondering why you are so interested in my definitions.

Anti-Aliasing problem!
Okay, make a back up of your saves and override folder if you have any mods you like to keep. Uninstall the game. Next uninstall the 5.11 drivers and clean the driver registry out completely. Make sure your Nvidia onboard video is also disabled. Remove any GeForce drivers and such as well. ATI and NVidia doesn't mix well together. Reinstall 5.11. Reinstall the game. That should take out any kinks.

More Revolution Details emerge
Well, you can obciously see which one was designed by an American. I wonder if he was compensating for something.

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
I shouldn't have to explain the difference. As a game designer and such you should already know the difference. KotORs, JE, NWN 1 and such are designed to be more cinematic. I am not saying that is a bad or good thing, but hardcore RPGing isn't cinematic. From the implementation of rules, style of combat, the camera angles, the way the characters interact, and options available in combat. Such as can my character do a charge attack and get a bonus to hit and damage in the KotORs or NWN? No. Can I take aimed shots in KotORs or NWN, Jade Empire, and such games? Nope. Also games that reflect of being more table top RPG tends to be far more difficult on normal challenge level than the cinematic types such as KotORs, JE, and NWN. I mean in KotOR 2 an optimize character can take on the droids in the opening area unarmed and kill them in one hit no problem. On normal dificulty in Fallout 2 an optimized character can still get his or her butt kicked in the Temple of Trials. Style of representation, the limited options in combat, and the easiness of todays games make them not proper CRPGs. They are more like cinematic adventure games with RPG elements. Not saying that is good or bad, but that doesn't make them CRPGs.

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
Its not any specific set of rules but how the rules of the game interacts withthe gameplay itself. The Fallouts and ToEE felt like table top RPGing but on the computer. The KotORs, JE, NWN, Morrowind, and the such does not.

The Secularism thread.
Hey, I am just going by the history texts. Over the last 2000 years Christianity has done more harm than any sort of good. I judge a religion not only by what it teaches but also the actions of those who profess it to be their beliefs.

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
Thing is if you focus too much on the story and not enough of the rules governing the story and setting then it stops being a RPG and becomes just another adventure game hybrid. There hasn't been a real CRPG released in recent years that I consider high quality. Real CRPGs are games like Fallout 1 and 2 and Temple of Elemental Evil. The KotORs, Jade Empire, Morrowind, and even NWN 1 certainly have CRPG elements but they do not have the feel of a RPG.

Seven is sort of an odd number. You'd think ten would be the most natural. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> YES! Lets decimelize time!

Is Feargus Buying anything in the Acclaim "sale"
You know, I have always thought there was something weird with Jaheira and Khalid. Khalid came off as some gay guy who was still in the closet while jaheira was a "butch" lesbian. It was just very very odd yet not.

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
Well, of al the modern game s ToEE has the best combat system. It was very much turn base and gives the player a lot of options. It is too bad the rest of the game stunk. If we could get ToEE combat style in a KotOR game it would really really rock.

Fallout Tactics combat sucked with CTB (not to be confused with CBT) but it did have a lot of various options.

Need help fixing error
Do a virus scan first off. Viruses love to get in .exe files. Check what mods you have, if any, for sometimes you might have a mod that places the game a little off kilter. Worse come to worse, backup your save game files and do a fresh install.

True, but as long as innocent people don't die inthe crossfire then all is good.
