Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
Jade Empire played like an action adventure game and not a CRPG. If they did a similar set up in KotOR 3 then the rules set would have to be completely rewritten therefore not really a proper sequel. It would be going from Baldur's Gate 2 to Baldur's gate Dark Alliance. Sorry, but that is a terrible idea.

Why did Troika make ToEE?
As long as it is hack and slash done right. Icewind Dale 1 does hack and slash right. ToEE does not.

Rear Admiral Tubgirl?!?!?!? Okay, now that put an image in my head that I just didn't need.

GameSpot's Best and Worst of 2005 Awards!
I like Black Isle games but Obsidian's first game has a lot of problems. Here is hoping that NWN 2 is a worthy game.

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Yes... probably... But I don't think I like all the prickly bits inside and what if you are claustophobic.

Jade Empire was a fun, but average game. Nothing spectacular but nothing terrible. There was nothing that stood out like previous Bioware games, like the vastness and length of Baldur's gate 2 (which was very good) to the voice acting of Aribeth (which was veyr very very bad).

Racist? Nah. If I was being racist I would say something about boiled dog in a hentai or something.

Why did Troika make ToEE?
Tried it out a few months back and couldn't get the game to work right with it. It was a below average game with good combat options and nothing more. Its one of those play and forget games.

Why did Troika make ToEE?
Who knows. Troika is dead. They are no longer relevant.

GameSpot's Best and Worst of 2005 Awards!
For its first run in a game I think the Influence system did a pretty good job.

When I get more money and a new job, my ass will be owned by you. Um... that doesn't sound right.

GameSpot's Best and Worst of 2005 Awards!
Its because we like the people who work at Obsidian and not necessary the games they make. Besides, these are good forums.

I am not to worried about people postin gin proper English. We have a lot of people from other countries posting here and as long as we can get the basic gist of their post all is good but overall these are good guidelines.

Game music
Well, I expect sequels to have similar music to the originals so they have some sort of continuity.

Kotor 2 Server?
That's LA for you. They don't really give a crap about their fans nor their products.

Iranian leader denies Holocaust
That is why who was ther first is an irrelevant argument. They are both there now and they need to learn to get along or face mutal destruction. As far as I am concern if I was God I would wipe out both sides. Its the only way to ensure peace.

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
Dungeons and Dragons is meant to be turn base, period. Neverwinter Nights is the fastest it should ever go.

Iranian leader denies Holocaust
They do now, but that doesn't change the fact they were a huge arse mistake back when WW2 ended. Unfortunately some countries just can't admit it when they are wrong nor learn from their mistakes as well. Stinking one's nose where it doesn't belong will often get it chopped off.

MP3 Player question
I think it is apt and Muso deerves the credit for it... I think it was am to coin the name. I would like to get a MP3 player but it would need to have 40+ gigs. Must have all my music on it and room for more!!!

Taking turn base action out of RPGs...
Well, it does that for it. It really sounds like a Turn Based version of Guild Wars.

Kotor 2 Server?
In story an setting it is the themes that are used that defines a genre. Not objects. The thematic aspects of Star Wars, such as the force, black and white good versus evil views, knights using swords, and so forth have a very strong fantasy aspects. Take away the Force (the magic system of the setting, the Jedi Order (a holy order of Paladins), and the such you wouldn't have Star Wars. keep the themeatic aspect of Star Wars, but place it on an ocean world with medieval style weaponry you would still have the same story of a young lad becoming a knight, and redeeming his father and killing the despot. The starships and blasters are only window dressing.
