Its not the game but the people playing.

Isn't that the point in playing a RPG? To role play? I have gotten Dungeon Siege 2, Half LIfe 2, played more on Unreal Tournement 2004. I also have given Doom 3 a go at it as well.

In the recent months I have tried FPS, MMORPG, and Action oriented RPG-lites. I have tried to maintain a open mind about all of them and you know what I have figured out: they suck compared to real CRPGs. Heaven forbid that I buy a rpg game and actually expect to role play, MMO or otherwise.

I think the enxt time I get the urge to try a mmorpg I think I'll just shoot myself instead.

Well, like any online game it is only as good as its players and it seems that no one there cares about actually role playing. I have tried countless times to try to strike up conversations in character and was promptly ignored. The game is great. The people suck.

That is why I said its a good diversion for those who need thier DnD fix till NWN 2 is released. Once NWN 2 is released I see DDO's membership drop like a stone. EDIT: Though listening to old school Metallica and going though some of the dungeons is fun.

One of my players, a few years back, had a paladin that seemed to have sex withthe evil he faced. The blue paladin could have used that. It was a fairly wrong campaign.

I don't hate God. I think He is an okay sort that kind of get things mixed up a bit. I just hate the majority of His followers and the religions He inspired. He seriously needs to do some house cleaning. I keep telling Him that but He never listens. Just for your information I know the God of Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad. I don't follow. I don't worship. I don't do any of that crap. I just be and occasionally I scream at Him for ****ing up the world.

I am a very tolerate person. My view is that as long as you leave me alone I will leave you alone yet Christians think it is their duty to get in my face day and day out. I don't want to hear about how I should repent and that if I don't I am damned to Hell. If I am damned to Hell that is my problem with God and not yours. I don't need you Christians scream at me while I am walking to class or shoving New Testaments in my face. I don't need you Christians come knocking on my door after I spend 10 hours on an overnight shift and I am trying to get some sleep. I don't need saving. I am quite comfortable with my God.
