  1. I've got apparently the same problem. The Blindness status effect stays on my main character after combat without any timer. Although it seems to be just a GUI glitch and is not affecting my stats. In the combat I used the Supress Affliction ability of the main char, which might be the culprit here. Here is a save right after the battle: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mxpo23glnlgui89/7b5a2af3-ede8-42d1-8df3-b43a74afb5a9%20quicksave.savegame?dl=0 And this is one from not so long before: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wzmh4a6h59kprby/7b5a2af3ede842d18df3b43a74afb5a9%2010101503%20OndrasGift.savegame?dl=0 Hope that helps.
  2. Looky, your crash seems to be something different and completely unrelated to the uncl.ttf workaround. Sorry.
  3. For all having the crash just after the intros and can't find the uncl.ttf: Keep in mind you have to do every step excactly as Ekital posted or you won't find the file.
  4. This worked. (Well, I can go to the main menu now, didn't have time to test further.) Thank you much! Maybe the file is actually called Uncial or somesuch? Try looking for this.
  5. I'm verifying again as I write this, but not only did I already verify before, I also downloaded the whole game again. Both to no avail, so I don't think the problem is a corrupt download. I'm trying to run the game in english. At least I think so, can't look it up now. Edit: All files successfully validated. The game still doesn't work, unfortunately.
  6. I got the same bug. The game crashes to desktop right after the intro logos and the backer thanks page. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 AMD Phenom II X4 955 4,00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 2015-03-27_014816.zip
  7. Oh, how I remember the bitter times of the Project Jefferson cancelation. I will cry myself to sleep tonight, I guess.
  8. The adjective noun of noun: Gerund Subtitle: We're not even trying anymore
  9. I think that's also the case in France and Poland. Don't they have Visa and Mastercard debit cards? I can understand not having credit cards, although they are less of a hassle if they get stolen or fraud happens than a card that has direct access to your bank account, but to not have any sort of card would seem bizarre to me. Visa and Mastercard debit cards are available here in germany, but usually for an extra fee. So most people don't want them. And our normal debit cards don't work with Amazon.com Payments (funnily enough they work with Amazon.de). Most people here also don't have a credit card, because you just don't need one most of the time. Actually you just need one to shop online in (non-european) foreign countries. I myself didn't pledge anything on Kickstarter in the past, only because of that reason. Only when OE announced Eternity I went out of my way and ordered a prepaid credit card, but I can't see many people doing that. So, when the Paypal option will be activated, I really would expect a spike in pledges just from germans. Sadly, these paypal donations will never appear on the Kickstarter page, as they said in their FAQ.
  10. I don't know. I never really liked the Drow much. Dark elves on the other can be interesting. I liked Bethesdas take on the Dunmer. I also really like the more traditional idea of the Seelie and Unseelie courts, like rjshae mentioned. Than again, in folklore the common elf is always kind of evil.
  11. "The Fall: Last Days of Gaia" had a pure bartering system. It worked by having assigned a value to every item, like in a normal currency system. But these were hidden (before a later patch), so you had to figure out for yourself how much it was worth. It was complicated by having the merchants not looking for the exact value, but having a bit of a price span. They also gave you vague hints, like "This is a good deal for me" or "Do you want to ruin me?". While so the bartering was kind of a fun minigame in itself, the big problem was, that you were always running around with a lot of items in your inventory, because the merchant didn't have anything interesting to barter with and you couldn't just sell them for money. So, I believe a monetary system is superior in almost every way. But a bartering system could be interesting to spice things up in specific circumstances. Or it could be a supplementary system like in Fallout.
  12. I just added 8$ to my pledge. Oh well, it already was too much. I'll have to live off bread crumps and water the next month. But it's totally worth it! Also, I'd like to be known as "Psychopomp of the Obsidian Order" please.
