Black screen of doom?  Thats funny I got the black screen of patience.  I left it on and I know eventually the black screen will go away and I can return to playing.  I think it is some sort of jedi trial...

The whole game I felt rather neutral, it's just the way the story plays out.

I have both versions. I like the fact that PC KOTOR was modable, such as changing the sithtroopers into stormtroopers etc. So that's the only version I play.

It depends on how much you kill with the turret. If you ignore them, you'll end up with about 20 of them in your ship.
