  1. absolutely not. My love for Nintendo diminished after the Super Nintendo... and was 100% completely relinquished with their latest Legend of Zelda releases. God... those graphics... shudder..... BLAHHHHHHH
  2. Master Speed was one of the best (if not the best) powers for effectively killing enemies. I forget the stats... but when that baby was fired up, there wasn't a sith/jedi alive that could defend himself from your attack.
  3. ... it had to be said i suppose... side note: i personally could care less about its length or its color. Make them all blue and "x" length long for all i care.... I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO OPEN AND CLOSE MY LIGHTSABER AT MY OWN DAMN DISCRETION.
  4. takes all kinds... takes all kinds... anyone else with a platform suggestion for me?
  5. so... if not on pc and not on xbox... what system are you planning on playing it on?
  6. 1) you are giving me a suggestion 2) I looked for a more relevant place for it... couldn't find it... so whent with this. If the mod's wanna delete it... fine with me... so long as I get my answer first.
  7. I own both platforms (as many of you probably do). I own KOTOR I on xbox, and have no real complaints about playing it on that system. However, my pc is a monster of a machine. I know that you can get better sound and graphics outta a PC... but since I already own the first on xbox, it would be cool to add the second to the collection. Has anyone played both, and do you have any reasons to go with one over the other... other than sound and graphics?
  8. Wheelman's ploy, i have determined, is to strategically place smilies in his posts to trick readers into believing he knows something more about what is going to be in the game than the rest of us do....
  9. For reference for everyone debating length and where it comes from: http://www.starwars.com/databank/technolog...ghtsaber/?id=eu (3rd paragraph)
  10. some website had several videos that OE showed at E3. They were just demo trailers. oh...er... i mean... I got to go to E3. didn't you? no? loser....
  11. I believe part of the reason you don't have as much freedom in choosing your head is b/c as you become more dark or more light... your character's face changes to reflect that (like in KOTOR I, when your hair got longer, a scar became more visable, eyes changed color... etc.). These are all preset changes for each head they have available. If it was more customizable, as we all wish, then it would be extremely time consuming for the DEV's to still incorporate the physical changes that would take place to your apperance as you became more light or more dark.
  12. eventually there simply won't be any more feasable new color choices and everyone will have to accept what they have. A kinda crazy idea would be having a crystal that let you entirely choose its color using the Red, Blue, and Green range values (0-255). That way everyone could have exactly what they wanted once and for all.
  13. no... never heard of dark side pockets. If it matters.... i had to watch the E3 demo with no sound (b/c i am at work and well... we don't have speakers).
  14. honestly.... what other colors would look good in a lightsaber? Your primaries are: red, blue, green, orange, purple, and yellow What else is there? Brown? (poop) Black? (stupid... considering it is a "light"saber... and black represents the absence of light) Pink? (gay and hardly appropriate) Pastels? (pastels would just be lighter shaded primary colors... not worth it) Combo colors... ie. bluish-green? (not really enough of a change to make that noticeable of a difference) The only color I could think of would be a silver hue... or perhaps a white. In fact, there are some insances of jedi using this color througout the SWs history. Something else that might be cool would be having TWO color crystal slots for double-bladed sabers... so that one end could be a different color from the other.
  15. If I do... my brain is playing a mean trick on me at the moment.
  16. Absolutely. Perhaps other implementations... such as you actively having to go out and seek the dark side... or actively seek the light side... rather than it being decided by conversation choices and their subsequent actions.
  17. Thanks... I'll correct that. Brain fart.
  18. I know it has been hit on several times in this forum, but I haven't seen it answered by a DEV yet. Basically, is ANYTHING being done this time around to make it more difficult to distinguish between OBVIOUS light side and dark side answer choices????? Best I can remember, all your LS or DS points came from conversations in which you had to make a choice in responses. And it was extremely clear each time which was the LS, which was neutral (if offered) and which was DS. This made "walking the path" rediculously easy (and in my opinion was probably the game's biggest weakness). Story line and replayability would be drastically improved upon if being light or dark wasn't as easy as choosing between "here's 200 credits.. go get something to eat"... or... "give me all your money or i'll kill you... better yet... TIME TO DIE!" Does anyone have any ideas how to make conversation choices less obvious and/or other ways to improve this area?
  19. Using their current model, this suggestion probably won't make the cut... but still: It bothers me in RPGs when you can gain XPs for your skills/powers by hacking away at some enemies. It simply doesn't make sense. Take for example force stun. You get that at the first level... and then after you cut up some more bad guys... all of a sudden you are able to freeze a guy with that power (force stasis). Instead, it would make more sense if your progression thru the skill tree (i.e force stun -> force stasis -> stasis field) was entirely contingent upon using that skill. The more you used it/practiced it, and the more it was used on enemies the more effective and progressed it would be. This would give you the opportunity to really see your character progress, vs. just gaining points by killing people and spreadnig them across your entire skills. If you want to get better at using the computer... you need to use it. If you want to use duel lightsabres, then you need to practice using both... not simply be granted the ability b/c you have been playing the game for "x" ammount of time. Does this bother anyone else?
  20. I can see his argument from both points. On his side: yeah... it kinda takes away from the realism a little when you are desperately trying to escape before the dark lord arrives, and oh... look at that... another storage bin... hmm... cool... more repair parts and a ion rifle. That makes 23 ion rifles now. Ok back to the task at hand. RUN!!!! On the other side: timed trials probably aren't the way to go... especially for RPG's. It isn't like in life (even in the sw universe) that you'd just implode if you didn't meant a time limit. It is probably too early in gaming still to suggest this, but instead, it would be cool that you definately could take as long as you wanted to perform tasks... but at a consiquence. For example... if you hauled ass... you could escape the ship before the dark lord arrives, but if you took your time... he'd get there and you'd have to face him. Those kind of things. Also, a realistic day/night effect would be cool too, where interactions with things/people/etc. were different at night than during the day. A true realistic feel. But that's probably still way in the future. But it'd be cool.
  21. it was intended more as a joke. Perhaps it would be better if I go back and edit it to read ".... but would it be possible if one of our suggestions is actually used that we receive a fully functional lightsaber (green for me), and a jedi robe actually worn by a cast member? Oh... and while you are at it, how about a voice over slot in this, and every other KOTOR game to come?"
