  2. I'm so excited for a menagerie! I always feel bad having all these pets stuffed in my inventory and not swapping them out enough... Now they can roam free! ;3
  3. Really wish I could! I'll be traveling back from a visit with family. Will probably start the download that night and hopefully get to play on the 9th after work >.<
  4. I don't really think there's enough evidence present yet to tell just how interactive sidekicks will be... And the term 'banter' may mean something more specific to Josh than what it means to players. Personally I see banter as very specific scripted/responsive interactions between characters within the party while traveling - not necessarily things like responding to the situation or surroundings etc, and completely separate from actual dialogue. For example, the conversation between Tekehu and Maia(?) near the beginning of the stream. Adding any noticeable number of those for each sidekick (in addition to whatever they likely currently have) would actually be quite a large undertaking. Because it would be expected between them and every other companion and sidekick - so very specific personal interactions with 10* other characters. That kind of work grows exponentially with each additional point of contact. Like I said, it's not really an assumption we can make at this point, but I believe the sidekicks will do just what he said - be colorful, have some fun lines here and there (maybe some both in and out of dialogue), probably have some personal dialogue trees that the Watcher can delve into, and generally be fun but without much story impact. Based purely on what he said, the only thing I won't expect much of is specific interaction with/responses to other companions while traveling. Which I see as more of a bonus than a requirement in most games, so I wouldn't expect that as part of this stretch goal personally hehe. I guess we'll just have to see what their true scope is *Edit: I swear I can math...
  5. Has there been any confirmation yet that these are 'mid-game' content? I don't mind three pieces of DLC coming out over the span of a year. I would prefer if it were post-game content this time, as I tend not to do full replays much. Got lucky with WM because I didn't play the first time until after it was all out One thing to keep in mind with small expansions vs one big aggregated one is that it could be restricted by the stories they want to tell as much as it is by money/work. Maybe they came up with some great story ideas further in past when the Deadfire content freeze happened (gotta stop adding new things at some point). And maybe those story ideas don't have good ways to connect to one another. Trying to force them to weave together is rarely a good idea. If there was one large story idea they had, maybe it works better as part of a future game rather than limiting it to the size and effort and limited audience participation of an expansion. Overall I think it's best to wait until they can actually talk about the DLC more openly before we toss around the negative speculations
  6. I'm not actually in the Backer Beta, so sorry if I'm not supposed to post here hehe. I've been scouring very recent beta videos for available abilities and noticed that the Frenzy upgrades (both Spirit and Blood) have the same issue as point 1 from the original post - they say +25% Recovery Time instead of Attack Speed? It seemed like it may be a typo, so I thought I'd mention The base Frenzy appears to still correctly say Attack Speed. So excited for the game! Thank you!
