  1. Given how Expert Mode is near completely borked anyhow at the moment the news of another thing that should be hidden but in fact is not doesn't come as much of a surprise anyway. That being said - I too hope I won't have to see those particular 'hand-holdy' qualifiers again once Expert Mode gets eventually fixed.
  2. I imagine that toggling level scaled content (only upwards) + expert mode (or trial of iron for the most adventurous) should compensate for that.
  3. Thanks. Do you actually lose the ship and crew and have to acquire resp assemble a new one or is it just "game over" and reloading from your last save?
  4. You can engage in ship to ship combat and sink enemy ship, you can get close and ram/board it, or you can use “auto board” to skip ship2ship system, take some damage and board the ship. Don’t expect it to be realistic or anything like that - system is heavily abstracted. Is it actually possible to get sunk by the opposing ship during ship combat as well?
  5. The subsequently created proficiency for Unarmed did not make it into this build, right?
  6. Having options for these two features should be a no-brainer really. One can only hope that the devs see it this way as well.
  7. I'm surprised that the capped wound limit doesn't seem to bother more people, especially when it's essentially working against diversifying character builds against others. The visual emphasis via the mentioned 'traffic light' next to the character portraits doesn't exactly help ignoring and looking past the issue as well. Not giving Constitution 'a little more bang for the buck' - by letting it have a tangible effect on the wound limit - and making it less of a dump stat - beyond just 'more hitpoints' - would be quite the missed opportunity as far as I'm concerned.
  8. Just stopping by to express my disapproval of the current system as well. I too think it's way too similar to Tyranny's oversimplified approach with the general hard cap on the wound limit and getting rid of endurance as an additional strategic factor in managing a character's wellbeing resp. effectiveness in combat. As far as I'm concerned PoE already has the (near) perfect system that pretty much just needs to be (more or less) copy-pasted over into Deadfire.
  9. They either don't care whether the last two stretch goals are reached or not or they already have a contingency plan B, like paying the difference out of their own pocket once the extended campaign is over. That's what I'm getting from the silence.
  10. I'd appreciate a donation option too. You probably could "donate" $5 (Obsidian Initiate tier) over and over and over and over and over (and over...) according to the sum you'd like to pledge without a reward, but that's arguably the least effective method. Your inbox getting bombarded with receipts for each of these "donations" is also something I would like to be spared of.
