Can KOTOR2 beat Halo2 in sales?
guybrush threepwood replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
good gameplay is also important. fps gamers can tell the difference between an enjoyable game and a crap game with pretty graphics -

the ign 6 hour in preview tells you how many party members ypou have after the first planet (or how many he has). I think it was 3 or 4 -

No -
it seems like it would take alot of development time to make it viable. There would be no side quests so what would you do. You will already have greatly affected the fate of the galaxy, so everyone will have to respond differently to you. It also makes a bit of an anti climax. I don't think there would be too much value in it either. I think though they should make the ending longer, and better.

if you use hk to get you out of the leviathon cell, there is a cutscene where 2 sith go up to a commander and say something like "sir, we have found a hunter killer droid....."

THE BEST SUGGESTION
guybrush threepwood replied to rezzzman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
interesting idea...though of course it won't happen for kotor 2....But do you mean sort of like a replay, where you can edit the major parts and watch that? I think for it to be interesting, they'd need to expand on it in some areas so it flows, rather than gaving all in game seqeunces, and also shorten the thing to watchable lengtj -
Choices at Beginning of K2
guybrush threepwood replied to Chris Avellone's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I think the dark side ending is more epic. The game obviously revolves around the idea of redemption (again?) and then wham! instead of episode VI you get a mixture of episode III and V, revan defeats malak, takes over the mantle of sith lord and pretty much takes over the galaxy. He becomes a much more important person. The l/s revan remains a pawn of the council, even accepting his medal standing there nobly, and you don't really see him come to terms with being revan. -
as long as the selkath aren't singing anything

^^ i agree with you to an extent, but that didn't stop me from slicing neutral jolee. I'm very neutral in real life, (if you aint nuetral about something you are probably wrong)...but i love the idea of taking over the star wars galaxy rather than saving it, oh and being a bastard

i really don't care much for pazaak. It was too slanted towards npc victory. And i just couldn't ever be bothered playing it much

what jedi style did revan have?
guybrush threepwood replied to LORD GRAVEN's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
well i think it depends abit...he doesn't use the force too much except when force jumping...but his style does look abit on the raw power side (V) if you look at the attacks though maybe i used flurry too much...but if you look at the 'scorpian' stance as someone called it, that looks more precise dooku type form -
well revan did kill a hell of alot of sith on the star forge, plus many sith masters, and malak. he wasn't sith lord for nothing, and it seemed there was no jedi that was nearly as powerful. Though i guess his power is to an extent, assumed by the fans. i like to think of my revan as a super powerful guardian type that would chop windu's head off with ease. but one thing i didn't mention in my last whining is that the main problem i think is that your character has been a jedi all his life, yet apparently exhibits no exceptional abilities, and he has even partly lost his connection to the force. why should he all of a sudden become the most powerful jedi in the galaxy? though i'm sure he must be strong for the sith to want to hunt him down so much

awful story and awful story development-the plot come out of no where and is poorly developed. Targeting system is a real problem, 90% of the features were dropped, and the remaining ones just didn't have too much gameplay value. It's also short, your character can't talk (no dialogue tree), npc's are boring, the facial customisation is very bad, it's easy, and the point of the game is to be renown, but i just didn't care how renown i was, it didn't make much of a difference. But it's a decent game, =79% imo

i don't think you should be more powerful than revan, as: 1. it's a little convenient 2. you served under revan, not the other way around 3. i think it would be more epic if it were a titanic struggle 4. it kinda makes a joke of kotor 1 5. You shouldn't have an uber powerful jedi every 5 yrs Also i wouldn't go by the d20 system to say the new character will be stronger...this is a game, and the first kotor was limited by the rules of that game, so it's no use comparing them

Revan in KotOR 2
guybrush threepwood replied to The man in the iron mask's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
well hydrogen just said what i was trying to tell you And i don't know where you got all this trying to make you feel guilty crap from, all i was saying is that i wouldn't like it if revan were to be killed because obsidian couldn't think of anything better
